I remember years ago, when filling out an ad for saleforce. I filled out the online form and a few seconds later, the phone rang and Salesforce was on the other end and thought wow that was impressive.

This morning I expercied the same feeling, while exploring features of Hunter.io, a chat button appeared and a short 5 min video about the feature was offered...again, I thought wow that was impressive. I love how easy the tool is to navigate. It's a clean user interface makes it easy to find email addresses for LinkedIn connections. You also get a really lovely chance to try out the product at the free tier, so you have a feel for what you're getting before entering credit card details. I wish there was a little more transparency about the algorithm used to determine the percent confidence about the accuracy of the email address. I'm not sure how that percentage is calculated and I'd like to know. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When it comes to just the verification part, it's wayy too expensive.. There's tools like ClearOut that do alot of what Hunter does for alot cheaper. I think they should price email verification out seperately instead of merging it into an all-in-one price subscription. When even comparing them to Bouncer which is priced a bit higher for example. It's like 5x more expensive. You only get 1,000 verifications for $49 or 10,000 for $149, where Bouncer is $35 for 5,000 and $60 for 10,000 verifications. The pricing just doesn't make sense. I don't recommend Hunter for anyone unless you're using it for free with less than 25 tests per month, or on the absolute lowest tier if you want to use their other features. I have only been a user of Hunter.io services for about 7 months and in that time I've had to call on their customer service twice and I will tell you that if you want a company that genuinely values their customers, meaning: you are important to them, then these are the people you want to turn to. They are absolutely top tier in the information domain game, but still pay attention enough that they went out of their way to reach out to me as soon as I had a problem, and then were quick with follow up to ensure that the problem was resolved.
