15 Hudl Sportscode Reviews

While powerful, we haven't been able to figure out how to use it without being able to write "code". Sportscode shows promise for people who have the time, patience and expertise to take advantage of all of its capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First of all, it's really expensive. We were quoted $1800 per person using it. Compared to more affordable, easier-to-use packages like Hoopsalytics, it's hard to justify the price.
There's also a steep learning curve to get the most out of it. The other coaches I know who are using this basically use it for slicing video, and that's it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There really isn’t any downside for hudl, if I had to name something, I don’t like the quick keys on the keyboard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It made sharing film much easier and breakdowns were much easier and cleaner than other programs I used in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There weren't a lot of downfalls. I worked for a D3 School so we would only breakdown 3-6 pieces of game film on each opponent, so it wasn't crazy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a coach that also works a job away from the school where I coach at, Hudl as always been an instrumental tool in helping me keep up with current schemes for that weeks opponent. Also, it is a good way to communicate with my guys in making sure they are studying film and understand what scheme we are running without us being in the same room. I also have the experience of being the video coach and working directly with hudl in uploading and editing film. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I probably dislike the most about Hudl is the upload time of the game film. From my experience uploading, Friday night game film was always a little painstaking, as it would take hours for the film to load, which meant that my Friday nights were always long because after loading, then I needed to edit and even through Hudl has a self-editing feature, you still have to double-check because there is always human error.
