What do you like best about HashiCorp Consul?

My favorite features of Consul is its Service Discovery and Distributed Configuration. As an application developer, having such a seamless service discovery tool allows me to focus on the business logic of my code rather than which instance of a server I need to interface with. The Key/Value configuration is also amazing for feature flags in my applications, as well as common config that multiple server instances need to share. The integration of Consul with Spring Boot is also a great plus, as it makes application development even easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HashiCorp Consul?

None so far. Keep on adding more helpful features to the Admin UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HashiCorp Consul solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using the Distributed Key/Value configuration, we are able to change properties on the fly that our applications use for business logic/rules. By not needing to write new code and deploy new instances of our applications, the customer experience is not interrupted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
