What do you like best about Greater Giving?

Greater Giving makes the events at the high school run smoothly. GG offers resources for almost everthing related to event success, and I can't imagine our golf outing and dinner/auction without its resources. I that I can create a website for registration, keep guest information on file, run reports, and easily customize sponsor and registration packages. The site was super easy to learn for me. What do you dislike about Greater Giving?

There are downsides to the limitations of building a website. As a person with a design background, I wish I could upload larger file sizes to make my pages more aesthetically appealing. Being able to drop a video or multiple (not just one) pictures that are also links on a page would be nice.

Also, I received great customer service until the past few months - customer service was not responsive. In the past, I could call Greater Giving at any time, and a representative would answer/talk me through the steps to make sure I knew what I was doing. This year, our site had a problem, and no representive would answer the phone for days. The online chat bot or person I finally got in contact with after numerous days of trying then tried to blame our server rather than figure out the problem. It was disappointing. We pay a lot of money for GG, money such as service fees from our events go toward GG, and I would appreciate better response. I was extremely concerned the night of that if there were a problem, no one at GG would anser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Greater Giving?

It is very user friendly for setting up and managing projects of all kinds. The more you use it the easier it becomes as most of the products are similar in nature. The option of the project websites is versatile and fairly simple to create resulting in a professional and appealing public face. The prompts are clear and there is wealth of information in the library to access in various ways. Support is very responsive whether by chat or phone. It is my favorite platform to use and I recommend it to everyone I speak to about project/event platforms.

I use it daily during my event seasons and feel very supported as I create and manage my projects. It was also very easy to get started with this platform over one year ago. Integrating our database was easy and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greater Giving?

A few of the defaults that cannot be changed within the website building and the JoinMe options are frustrating to work with. For some reason, many of my students have trouble building their individual fundraising pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows me to streamline my ticketing, seating and fundraising in one place as opposed to having multiple payment/purchase options that have been used in the past. What do you like best about Greater Giving?

It's the most widely used platform in Austin - so we can share resources and understanding with other local alike nonprofits here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Greater Giving?

The customer support is terrible compared to GiveSmart, who staffed a rep to our account. The platform is highly uncustomizable - we are conducing our Ask off the platform bc it can't do what we need it to do (or at least no rep has been able to advise us how to use it). The 'edit page settings' 'vs edit on website' creates MASSIVE headaches if you are looking to make any changes to your site --> I've lost massive cosmetic changes multiple times bc a rep directed me to 'edit page settings.' There's a massive disparity between reps - I've had 1 good experience with a rep but mostly their answer is 'no' or 'I don't know.' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Greater Giving?

I like that I can not only track donors, but I can also track sponsors for our events. I can send notifications to participants without having to create a separate database in my donor management system. Also, I am able to close out auction on a pre-set schedule without having to watch the clock, then with the touch of a button, payments are received. What problems is Greater Giving solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the biggests complaints about our auction was check out. With Greater Giving, we capture needed donor information ahead of time. Now, there is no need to wait in line to settle up at the end of the event. And with the online auction, donors can participate from anywhere, know where their bid stands, and the auction can be closed with a pre-set timer.

We also used Greater Giving for an awareness walk. We captured t-shirt sizes so ordering them was easy.

With both events, we could share information with donors without having to create a separate database. Greater Giving allows me to enjoy the events without having to continously collect payment information, add up bids and collect payments or call donors because they forgot to provide critical information. What do you like best about Greater Giving?

Greater Giving allows for multiple users, is easy to learn, produces valuable reports, and is an all-in-one tool for our fundraising events. It handles registration, check-in, and the check-out procedures easily and generates all of the supporting documents. The technical support is always available and willing to help with any issues. What do you dislike about Greater Giving?

Setting up the website was a little challenging because some of our pictures and files were too big but we figured it out with some trial and error. Other than that, I haven't really found a downside to Greater Giving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greater Giving organizes all of our fundraising data in one program. That's a huge benefit for pulling reports and comparing the success of our different events. What do you like best about Greater Giving?

The webinars! They're so helpful! I watched so many of them to learn how to navigate the software and I loved having them all right there when I needed to go back and do something again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

During our silent auction some of our winning bidders got a notification that they had been outbid. Since they didn't think they won they left the event. We then had to call and tell them they won and find a time to get their items to them. W Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
