What do you like best about gPanel?

One of the things I like best about gPanel is its comprehensive management and reporting features. As an administrator for a Google Workspace domain, it is extremely helpful to have all of the necessary tools and information in one place. gPanel's bulk operations and automation capabilities also save my IT team a lot of time and money. gPanel is solving the problem of efficient management and reporting for a Google Workspace domain. It allows me to easily manage users' settings and access while keeping their data secure and protecting my company's reputation and intellectual property. Additionally, gPanel's reporting features help me monitor activity within the company, which gives me a better understanding of how our organization is functioning. What do you like best about gPanel?

Our main reason for choosing GPanel was for the Shared Contacts feature. GPanel makes it easier for us to share contacts from outside of our Domain and have them auto-populate in the email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about gPanel?

It's great to be able to see and manage all of my distribution lists (group emails) in one place. It's also great for managing my Google Apps profile (goodbye outdated profile picture). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use a not insignificant number of internal group email lists and it's saved me time managing the lists, removing and adding users. Some of the lists have cross-over with members and similar but different purposes, being able to see the lists and it's members in once place helps me remember which list I want to use. When members leave I can see all of the groups they are a member of and remove them in one place instead of having to visit each group individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about gPanel?

The benefits of Gpanel include simplicity, organization, reporting, and automation. All four of those aspects makes Gpanel a worthy product for any company using Gmail. Our biggest advantage to having this product is its automation. We are able to save a lot of time with employee offboardings due to the fact that Gpanel handles the job which pulls licenses from our terminated users. This saves us a lot of time and work. Not to mention Gpanel is very easy to learn for the most novice to the most experience IT professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about gPanel?

Gpanel makes a lot of sense for any Gmail user so there isn't anything we've come across in our organization that warrants a dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For any Gmail admin looking for reporting and automation this product is a must have. Also its great for any help desk personal to easily manage email accounts and manage organization groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Gpanel we are able to report on how many active email accounts we have within the company among other things such as, email activity, user count in organizations, the ability to easily delegate emails to other employees, and may other things. Mainly however is the automated license pulling. Also in terms of security we are able to manage active users and separations much easier with reporting. We can see exactly how many accounts are active that should be terminated or accounts that are active where the end user has never logged in. What do you like best about gPanel?

gPanel is able to put a lot of often-used features in the places they just make sense. There is a lot of power given to you, where you'd need to sign in as a user if you only have Google Admin at your disposal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about gPanel?

I find gPanel to be a bit slow, and the bulk operations can be a little more intuitive. I do wish there was a way to bulk-create users, as that would've been helpful in our last two migrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about gPanel?

They have a lot of reports that can help to understand usage, or help with compliance with rules or policies.

You can easily browse other users data, and change permission or owner on files. Imagine you have an employee out for a month, and the project needs to go. You may have a manager asking access to a very important files that the employee was working on.

You can set "Rules" for monitoring, like "files shared outside of the company" with some actions, like "need approval". May be useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about gPanel?

The UI is very ugly, and slow. I understand the superheros things, but the UI keep loading. The file ownership transfer crash all the time, can't get it works.

Search and sorting files based on sharing policies is a pain. Ley say that you have 3 folders with 100 000 files in each. Someone share the 3 folders outside of the company. Using the report, you will get 300 003 items that are shared outside of the company, and very, very hard to get where it comes from.

Also, impossible to get a list of "outside email" that files are shared to. I would like to review this list, but can't get it.

Recommendations to others considering gPanel:

I will evaluate other options since I'm not really satisfied of the "overall" gPanel. Be sure what you are looking for when using one of those softwares. gPanel has a lot of very good features, make sure it fit your requirements, or it won't be worth the price. What problems is gPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Google, security is not a priority, meaning that you need to take care of it on your own. Example, Google don't do backups, so if someone delete a folder, all the file "not owned by them" won't go to trash, but orphan files. You're screw.

What do you like best about gPanel?

This tool lets you access all of your google administration needs in one place. Users, Groups, Resources and Sites. I like that you can see which individual is in each group, which group has which user in it, who can access resource calendars and the ownership of all of the above. What do you dislike about gPanel?

With the number of resources, users and groups in our system, it takes a bit of time to load the lists of users, groups and resources. This can add a bit of a wait to being able to administer a group if it doesn't pop up in the incrementally loading list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
