Being a Google School, with 1-to-1 chromebooks for students, GAT+ is like Google's other foot. We use GAT+, GAT Shield, GAT Flow and Teacher Assist, and each has become indispensable for us. As long as we're a Google school, we'll have GAT+.
The support is outstanding, the products, though sometimes a little complex, work very well, and it's a must have complement to Google Workspace. GAT+ adds capabilities not available in Google Workspace, making managing Workspace content so much more accessible. The continuous expansion and improvement of features means the products get better and better.
For us admins, it's a day to day tool we can't live without any more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Workspace is complex and not always easy to navigate. As a result, GAT+ can get complex too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After years of GWS support at various organizations it was a delight working with tools like GAT+ and GAT Flow which have automated much of the manual work of the past. GAT is a bit like GAM with great UI and even better technical/customer support. Need to remove 1,500 dormant accounts? No problem - use a regular expression in GAT to pull accounts then import to a GAT Flow to archive the accounts; takes all of five minutes. GAT's ability to connect to several tenants opens up new possibilities for actually testing in a "test "environment before pushing a workflow to "production". Tired of exporting User and log records into sheets to crunch in Sheets or Excel? Need custom variables in GWS that can act as variables to direct process flow in a Workflow? No problem, GAT does it. As for customer service? It's quick, courteous and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's all been positive, nothing to dislike. But, if that changes I'll be back :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a teacher who is committed to a fully digital classroom I can say that one of the biggest challenges is securing the safety and focus of my students, and the integrity of their work. The GAT Labs products I have used have addressed any of the concerns I might have had about appropriate student use of digital resources. I am confident that I can have students work on any assignment, including assessments, without having to worry about distraction or academic dishonesty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because GAT Labs continues to improve their products, there is nothing to dislike. GAT Labs is responsive to and questions or suggestions, and continue to make excellent products even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the look, design, and feel of the GAT+ software.
It looks like it can take complicated tasks and batch process commands.
It's fast to connect to your Google Workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We purchased a subscriptioon for GAT+ due to security concerns with filesharing in the company.
What was supposed to be our saving grace from manually going to each file and adjusting permissions quickly became a faulty program we paid $900 a month for.
We created an "UI Bug" that was an "edge case", where we had to constantly contact the support team to help process our queue.
The issue was created by "flooding" the queue with requests.
Only, the longer we worked with GAT+ the more we realized it wasn't a UI bug. The tasks were not running, and each time their support team helped us the tasks would run again. They would go 1-5 tasks in and then stop, getting hung up on something.
We've been working on the same queue of 300+ tasks for two months.
And the data about our drive shows that from 9/4/24 - 10/21/24 there were a few changes. The items shared out by us files shared to specific external users went down initially. But the longer we kept the software, and the more tasks it processed the more those numbers went back up.
The inital report justifying the software went well, and after that providing any numbers in my reports looked like the software was backfiring.
The biggest problem with the issue is that you, as your workspace admin, cannot cancel, stop, or remove any of the items in your queue.
So in our case, we have a backlog of 300+ tasks that are still waiting to go through. I can't get new tasks to complete. I can't clear out my queue and follow best practices. I basically have to keep an eye on the software and when it pauses for too long email the GAT+ support team to help. Not very efficient for removing ex-employee & ex-contractor access from your Google Drive in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GAT labs has a powerful, and well-designed suite of tools to allow for an efficient and effective management of the school's domain. In the country where we are located, having a big team of employees is not possible. Having access to GAT Labs helps us have greater impact in the digital management and security as a small team. Their customer support team is fanstastic, and tools like GAT Teacher assist have been a game changer for our teachers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am always a bit confused about the difference between GAT and GAM and where functionality differences lie. Truth be told, I have stopped thinking about GAM since we began using GAT. But there might be a branding issue to consider here. Just a thought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a little less than a year that we use Gat+ and Gat Shield, and during this year we've been able to improve drastically the management and the audit capacity of our Google Workspace domains. The drive management brings lot of things without having to rely on scripts and the possibility to delegate restricted actions to dedigated people is very useful.
And for Gat Shield it allowed us to go further in our Chromebook deployment, with automation, audit, and more security for our users.
A little word for the team that is very helpful, friendly and quick to answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to find something i dislike about the product. Maybe Gat Flow would need more granularity on the delegation feature to limit a little more the access for base level support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is our first year in fully utilizing GAT Labs. GAT+, GAT Shield, and GAT Flow have changed the way we manage our Google environment. These tools provide us with an incredible amount of information about our users, devices, and apps. The tools allow us to better manage our environment. We continue to utilize additional functions as we explore and learn about all of the capabilities. The integration with our Google environment was quick and easy. The support team is very responsive and extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly have not found any real downside to using GAT Labs. The biggest challenge is there is so much functionality that I want to make sure we are fully utilizing all of the available features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GAT Labs is an essential tool for Google Administration. It a tool that is easy to use and very powerful. The features are great and it has quickly become a daily tool for myself and my admin team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its hard to say what I dislike about it. It does a really good job at the tasks I need compelted. I suppose speed is one area where it would be nice to be a bit faster, but even that has improved over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GAT allows full day to day oversight to out google domain. Need to automate disabling chromebooks that have not checked in x amount of days, done. Need to age off unused accounts that have not logged in x amount of days, done. and it can be as automated as you would like. Support is a simple email or call away, althought I prefer emailing since I dislike being on the phone unless its a magor emergency. I use the features just about every day and its one of the easiest Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only complaint about the product is the amount of options that are available are sometimes hard to keep track of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is what "Google" was supposed to provide for its admins. I'm very happy with the service and my ability to refresh 100 signatures after the marketing team "rebrands." (They do a lot of rebranding.) But it's a great product, and tech support has always followed up when or if I needed help, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with every product, the law of unintended consequences raises its head. The dev team is still actively improving the product. The tech support teams sometimes have to patch some of the "improvements" that weren't 100% ready for prime time. But they communicate well and own up to unintended issues.
