My team and I learned the hard way that virtual meetings were a complete disaster a few years ago during the pandemic. Some of the tools we tested were cut again and again, others were so intricate that it seemed like a computer science degree was needed to handle them and others did not achieve the results we expected. Well, that was until a colleague mentioned GoTo Meeting. I was surprised by the stability of the connection when we first used it. There were no interruptions, delays or frustrating slow motion. Everything was clear: the audio, video and screen sharing feature. Whenever I had to do a presentation or demonstration, screen sharing quickly became one of my favorite features. It seems a bit outdated compared to other platforms, as the user interface lacks modernity and intuition. Sometimes you may think you’re using a tool from the last decade. However, it does feel a bit… plain. There’s no standout feature that really differentiates it from competitors like Zoom or Teams, especially now that everyone is jumping on the virtual meeting bandwagon. You can show your product online and have an interactive discussion during the demo and can do either one on one or one with a small group or a small group with a small group. GoTo Meeting is the best in terms of sound and image quality, live broadcast in real time. I love the ease of organizing meetings and sending invitations and attachments via secure digital links. Accepting the invitation is direct, which makes it easy for invitees to participate effectively. Distributing roles during virtual meetings is easy, as the microphone can be turned off and transferred to another participant easily. I love sharing presentations that help provide a smooth explanation to participants. The documentation capabilities are great and useful in documenting what was agreed upon during the meeting. GoTo Meeting user interface is so simple and i was able to onboard so quickly. It is easy to use and i can access any time from anywhere without any restrictions. GoTo Meeting makes online communication so safe by providing very powerful security and privacy features making it possible for me to host all my meeting discussions including the private abd confidential ones. It is also so easy to join meeting with the one-time click link and it does not require any app to join meetings. The meeting links are simple and short making it easy to share with the other meeting attendees. GoTo Meeting video and audio quality are so satisfying and the sound enhancement tools like background noise removal helps to ensure uninterrupted meeting sessions. It also has a meeting playback tool that allows recording of meeting sessions for referencing. Virtual meetings with GoTo Meeting are so lovely thanks to the interaction tools like love chatting that allows the host to engage with other meeting attendees. I have not had any major upsets with GoTo Meeting. It has been working really good for me however, it would be great to see a tool for generating meeting summaries automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
