The flexibility to scale up/down without downtime is a game-changer. I run a data-heavy app, and spinning up custom VM instances during traffic spikes feels effortless. Plus, the integration with Google Cloud tools like BigQuery saves me hours of setup. The preemptible VMs are a lifesaver for batch jobs—cutting costs by 70% without sacrificing reliability. Only gripe? The initial learning curve for networking, but once it clicks, it’s smooth sailing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The networking setup can feel overly complicated at first—configuring firewalls, VPCs, and IPs had me Googling tutorials for days. Costs also sneak up if you forget to monitor usage, especially with non-preemptible instances. I once left a test VM running by accident and got a nasty billing surprise. Support feels slow unless you pay for premium tiers, and the console UI isn’t as intuitive as AWS for quick tasks. Oh, and preemptible VMs? Great for savings, but losing a spot instance mid-job still stings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Google Cloud offers a wide range of solutions for technology development and deployment, including Computing, Networking, data Storage and management, AI and machine learning, all in one integrated platform. GCP has user-friendly learning tutorials and reliable community support, which makes it easy to solve whatever challenges might come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface can appear complex to newcomers, as it lacks customization options for the left navigation menu. The inability to remove services not used by users can make the interface unnecessarily crowded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The intuitive UI did it for us, not to forget the easy onboarding, scalability, recommendations based on usage and quick AI/ML setups with readily available images Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The count of global data centres they have is currently lower than competitors such as Azure and AWS. Moreover, since GCS is relatively a new player, their presence in companies (and adoption) tends to be lower and adoption decisions are skeptical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BigQuery has been a reliable tool for marketing data integration. It's serverless, so it's easy to scale and let's us focus on other things rather than maintenance overall.
It's fast, so big querys that requires a lot of data takes just a few seconds to get the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While BigQuery is an awesome tool, there are a few things that can be a bit frustrating.
Costs can add up quickly if you’re not careful. You need to focus on optimization and spend time setting up tables propperly.
Another thing is that the learning curve requires time if you’re not familiar with SQL, getting started can feel overwhelming (a lot of traditional SQL techniques does not work on BigQuery, and some capabilities in BigQuery are not industry standards) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Effortless reporting with built-in metrics and dimensions, seamless data import from various sources via inbuilt APIs, easy sharing options, excellent visualizations, and insightful graphs, bars, and columns with date range filters for beautiful insights Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Bug Error with Data Blending:
Occasionally, when blending data in a table, a bug displays "RESERVED_TOTAL" in a dimension, causing other rows to disappear.
For more details, refer to this discussion: Looker Studio Community - RESERVED_TOTAL Issue. (https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Looker-Studio/Random-RESERVED-TOTAL-grouping-when-using-GA4-live-connector/m-p/821696)
Quota Error:
At times, data tables or metrics show a "Quota Error," causing data to stop displaying.
A quick refresh often resolves the issue, and the data reappears.
Data Blending Limitation:
Looker Studio allows merging or blending a maximum of five tables or datasets into a single table. Blending more than five tables is not supported.
Unknown Errors:
Occasionally, an unknown error occurs, preventing data from displaying. However, refreshing the page generally resolves the issue and restores the data.
If you encounter issues with data visualization, try refreshing the page as a first step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The way Google Cloud Big Query has evolved from it's inception is really comendable. So there are very less dislikes at the moment.
SQL Support could be further enhanced and integrations with different platforms via APIs can be added Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quick onboarding for begginer with clear UI and comprehensive documentation and supports ad-hoc quering and scheduled batch jobs and native interactions with google ecosystem products make workflows seamless as ease of implementation having robust customer support. For Data analysis helpful for daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Misunderstanding of how queries are billed can lead to unexpected costs and requires careful optimization and awareness of best practices and while basic quering is simple, features like partitioning, clustering, and BigQuery ML reequire some learning and users heavily reliant on UI might find some limitations compared to standalone SQL clientsof third-party tools. It's a powerful data science tool with serverless architecture and excellent scalability
It efficiently processes large datasets using SQL
It works well with other Google Cloud services and visualization tools
It offers flexible pay-as-you-go pricing
Despite some limitations (like query costs and table renaming restrictions), it's considered highly valuable for data scientists' careers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cannot rename tables.Must replace entire datasets if table names need changing
Querying can be expensive. Testing queries on live data can incur significant costs
No 'undo' function for queries. Datasets can expire and be lost if not monitored
Need to be cautious with live data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Looker has been transformative for how we manage and interpret data. It has become a tool we use weekly, if not daily. It has been central to our data consolidation and centralization process. We've combined sources including Google Analytics, Search Console, social, and custom spreadsheets that have completely changed how we approach reporting. It has helped us reduce time to generate reports, draw insights, and reduce errors. It was also easy to implement and scale. Looker has helped us build a culture of data-driven decision-making year-round, giving every team the tools and insights they need to operate effectively and efficiently. I have never had to reach out for customer support, which tells me the tool is doing what it is supposed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are bugs sometimes with modules, where filters, charts, and data sources aren't syncying or go out of sync for no reason and won't update the visualization. That requires you to sometimes rebuild an entire project, which is very frustrating.
The learning curve for new users using customizations was a little steep. I didn't feel the online training /resources available was sufficient or well positioned. It's more like you're on your own or watching YouTube videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
