As a full remote company that uses Gather everyday, one of the best things of it is how it changes the homeoffice reallity, turning a simple thing as walking to a coworker desk, saying hi and starting to solve some problem, something easy and fast, just like real life. Beyond that we have how simples it is to start and configure your office on the app, the Gather team is aways there to support us when needed and theres a lot of material online as well. There`s not really something I dislike, but a possibility to add someone to a call inside the app without the need to create e character, just like an google meet call, would be a nice add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gather is very easy to use and has been a great help to our team, considering the fact that we're working remotely and miles away from each other. I appreciate how we can express our creativity in decorating our desks and the entire virtual office. What stand out to me the most is the meeting room. Now that we've included Gather in our daily tools, setting up a quick meeting is now convenient. I also love how easy it is to integrate other apps and tools with Gather. There are a few areas that could be enhanced:

- Mobile support could be more robust

My team uses Gather as a supportive tool for communication. We have set up a vistual office space and use it for quick calls when it's faster to approach someone by their desk or when we want to do code pairing session. The main benefits that we find are:

- transparency - we can see who is participating in spontaneous meetings and join them as we want which reduces hidden conversations

- code pairing and team performance - being able to share multiple screens at the same time and having transparency and freedom to leave the meeting whenever we want, it increases the frequency of our code pairing sessions. As a result, whole team is up to date which what other team members are working on and code reviews get released to production much faster. We reduced our code reviews times from 2+ days to under 1 since using it for the past couple of months.

- last but not least, my favourite - transparency and virtual office increase team's collaboration and opportunity for small talk which resulted in must stronger team's foundations like trust and reliability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When using Gather symultaneously with few other heavy software like few instances of visual studio and docker, it can be bit laggy occasionally and loose access to camera. Also switching between zoom and gather can cause headphones to not connect correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

En nuestro equipo de 6 personas llevamos un tiempo utilizando Gather y, con la versión gratuita, nos va de maravilla. Aunque la empresa es mucho más grande y algo tradicional en la adopción de nuevas herramientas, creemos que Gather tiene un gran potencial y no descartamos proponerlo en el futuro.

Estamos encantados. Gather nos permite reunirnos de forma ágil y natural, sin depender tanto de los chats o reuniones programadas. Si necesito algo, simplemente me acerco a la “mesa” de mi compañero y le formulo la cuestión, como si estuviéramos en una oficina física. Our team has been using Gather for over 2 years as our virtual office, we have our meeting rooms with everyone, each person has their own desk and common spaces. We have managed to reduce the distance that remote work causes by simulating a physical environment within it. So far, the only thing that bothers is the noise reducer that uses a lot of processing and sometimes crashes the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gather helped me and my team to easily colloborate and communicate with each other since we are in a remote based company. It was easy to setup. We use Gather everyday, not only for work but also when we need to have fun and play games with each other. There are a lot of display bugs, sometimes invisible walls or pass through walls that for me personally is funny since we get to pass through another room without going around. There is no record a meeting function which would be nice if added since we don't need to go to Google Meet to record a meeting instead we can directly record a meeting in a room in our space or when collaborating with a certain team member/s Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
