By being able to structure fields and data, it is easy for day-to-day users to provide important risk information without being bogged down with too many details. The reporting functionality, especially in the build-out of dynamic dashboards is one of the best ways to engage partners and “tell the story” about why planning is so important to the strategic direction of a company. This elevates the program objectives from the simple “I have a plan in the trunk of my car” to “I have a plan that helps me define, mitigate and reduce risk”. Partners, ranging from business prospects, regulators, auditors, and company management and employees can see the value of a program through reporting that speaks to their area of focus. The area where I see the most potential for enhancement is in partnering during implementation, with a heavy focus on data construction and integration. Unfortunately, many companies have understaffed programs. To truly use Fusion as “a member of the team” the structure of data is critical to success. This, of course, presents a bit of a quandary as the implementation team is there to deliver what the client needs. Perhaps more focus could be placed on partnering new implementors with mentor program owners in order to best harness the power a platform like Fusion brings to the table. Fusion has completely revolutionised the way we do BCP at my firm. It takes away any manual work using word or excel and provides a structured process, automation and a centralised system to store all our information. The reporting tool is particularly useful.
