Destiny Library Manager is incredibly user-friendly yet packed with features! Although I've just begun to explore its full potential, I quickly grasped the essentials through Follett's video series without any formal training. I appreciate the ability to monitor books, students, and other materials from past years without needing external references. Additionally, having access to Destiny Discover boosts my confidence as I navigate the library system.
This platform streamlines cataloging, circulation, and inventory processes, making resource tracking highly efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customizing reports can frequently be challenging, and there is a need for additional default report options. It is important to access statistics by grade, specifically for ELA classes. For instance, if the goal is to boost the circulation of particular fiction titles, I should be able to generate a report that shows which books seniors in designated ELA classes are checking out. Enhanced customization features in reports would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Probably the best thing is that it integrates so seamlessly with our library software. Since most of the resources are handled and checked out through the library it unifies the checking out, the tracking, and the inventory of those items to a single system. Probably the worst part is the resource import process. What could be a system with a CSV template instead uses a much more complicated XML conversion process and tool. Takes what could use a process familiar to most people and makes it a multistep complex process involving multiple files that most people aren't familiar with. Expecially when they only do this once or twice a year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we are able to track items in addition to books. I like the ability to print reports to help manage the resources and to share with other staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes there it is very difficult to create reports that are organized by very specific information. I tried to make a report using only the information for a few students and it was only availble to print by an entire homeroom or grade level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Resource manager does what we need it to for inventory of tech assets. Some of the features and terminology were a little hard to adjust to, but the best thing is Follett's helpful support. They are always quick to answer questions and walk us through solutions.
Once you get used to the terminology, it is easy to use and reliable. Also, it's worth noting that planning your inventory systems ahead of time is essential. That will help a lot with Resource Manager setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some terminology was hard to adjust to. The import and export processes can be quite involved, along with the additional applications you need to download and execute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Follett Destiny Resource Manager (FDRM) allows me to keep up with my inventory so easily. I used to use a database that I set up myself, but I spent a lot of time trying 'messing' with it because I am not a database expert. I teach, take care of our network and keep up with all my technology devices. FDRM allows me to update my inventory quickly and run the reports I need for Administration.
I was able to easily implement the program because of the support Follett provided.
I use FDRM mostly at the beginning and end of each school year because that is when I purchase new products and retire old ones. I love how easily I can delete an items from my inventory, but can still get a report showing what was deleted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I struggle with FDRM sometimes when I want a particular piece of information on a report and can not get it listed/sorted the way I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite part about the FDRM is how easy they make it to keep inventory for numerous items. Bulk creating and templates make everything so easy and efficient. Indexing through inventory is also super easy and understandable. We incorporated the product just last summer and have made so much progress in such a short time, making it easy and effective to implement. Whenever we send out new products, we can add them so easily, which we do nearly every day. For the first few months, support had checked up on us, ensuring everything was operating smoothly and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing which I dislike about the FDRM is that I have been attempting to find a way to manage some inventory, in our case, for sporting equipment, by model of product. My example is keeping inventory on baseball bats. We can classify as baseball bats, which is what ____ prefers, however, he would like to categorize it as the specific model, which you can input in the custom field, which we have named model, however, you can not index by the model, you must index by "baseball bats". Customer suport is always there to assist with anything from the implementation to customized tasks as needed by your orgnazations. Easily manage class cost, and fees, even penalties, all with one manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The multiple accounts needed to perform each task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to add new devices to follett. It is nice to be able to add the Purchase Order used to purschase the device, makes tracking it down for our business office easier if they ask. It is easy to manage devices, checking in, out and deleting the resource if it is being retired is very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adding mulitple patrons is something I am still trying to master. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am familiar with Destiny so pulling that knowledge into the resource management makes it super easy to learn. I also really like that it is just like checking a book out to someone - notices and fees can be processed through it as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is missing some of the tech specific things I would like in a tech management software. THe other resource I use to manage tech can give me details like users, active sessions and ip address. So I have to have two things I use to manage my tech. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Follett helps me keep track of all of our school recources. Resource Manager has ability to generate detailed reports on resource usage, inventory, and financial accountability helps in making informed decisions. The technical support from Follett is amazing and always finds the answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, it's challenging to determine which report to run for specific needs and how to configure it correctly. While the system offers many reporting options, the variety can feel overwhelming without clear guidance or built-in templates tailored to common scenarios Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
