Currently, the level of support and response has been top-notch. ConexED has come a long way to address bugs and issues in the earlier version of their solution. The platform is now very stable, but if we ever do run into issues or questions they are very quick to respond and have demonstrated good follow-thru. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In earlier days we were finding issues in the software along with inconsistent behaviors. At the time it appeared they were more interested in trying out new features over focusing on the current issues. I must qualify that I no longer feel this is the case. There are so many ways you can use ConexEd to connect with your students. I especially like how a student can share their computer screen with us if we are on a video call. Also, I like how our off-campus work-study students can clock-in and out and their off-campus supervisors can verify just by us setting them up in ConexEd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no app for the college to use. We must log in through the website. Many times it would have been easier if we could access it through an app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the way the schedule is set up to allow for different times for different reason codes and that you can have in-person or online or phone appointments. I also really like the intake form for counseling appointments. We don't have the bandwidth to take advantage of milestones yet, but I see that feature as very promising. The unreliability compared to Zoom. Every single day I have a student who has difficulty adding the audio/video and sharing their screen. For some reason it is more technically difficult than Zoom. Also, I still have issues with my video going out or screen sharing stopping (I know I need to update my browser or clear my cache, but again I never have these problems with Zoom). I also would like to see for drop in an option for students to queue both online and in person. For example, right now drop in is set up perfectly for online students, but I want to be able to have students who come in person check into an online kiosk and be able to be queued up (we have a current work around where they login with their phones to join the queue, but they keep clicking away on their phones or closing their phones and dropping off the queue). Self-scheduling meeting feature, a physical kiosk for students to check in for meetings, a chat feature, a student support directory of departments on campus, and a space for notes about students and our meetings with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Numerous things need to be customized for our institution and how we function, which has sometimes been a barrier. The chat window does not have a minimize button which doesn't allow you to do anything else in ConexED while chatting with someone; some required fields are not editable once saved/created in meetings. Schedule reports don't always meet my needs- We work on a yearly salary/schedule and we are waiting for a report that helps us track that. ConexEd has been responsive to this request and says they will help us generate the report in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about ConexED is the ease of use and all of the bells and whistles that come with the system. When new features are launched, they are included in the existing price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can test the audio, mic, and camera and that I can also manage these onsite while live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that sometimes I can't hear the counselor talking to me but I can hear them. I also dislike that I have to enter into a separate window on the site in order to see the page that is screen shared and then I have to manually zoom in and zoom out to see. The program fails frequently. The video or microphones will glitch out with no warning and no amount of changing settings or logging out and coming back in will fix the problem when this happens. The whiteboard tool would be fantastic, but it does not send everything that is written or drawn unless you write or draw extremely slowly and erasing is a pain because there is no regular eraser.
