After researching many different options, Float quickly became our top choice and has been an incredible addition to our agency's operational platforms. The simplicity of use and the focus on resource management and team bandwidth was exacrtly what we needed in order to streamline how we were utilizing our resources across every account and department. The only downside which is not a significant issue is that our customer success rep was located in a completely opposite time zone then where we are, so finding time to meet to discuss questions wasn't as easy as I would have preferred considering we were enterprise customers. The Experince after using this tool is very good i can easilt understand the workflow of this tool and explain to my team as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no such a point which i disliked about this tool till now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First of all, it would be the ease of use and implementation. It is very intuitive, and compared to other tools, we have functionalities that exist in others, but here we can use and understand them more easily. Secondly: Customer support. Like any tool, questions or problems arise, and the support we have at Float is exceptional, as even with email support, the responses are incredibly fast. With other tools, we even gave up sending questions due to the delay in response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Look, the tool is quite comprehensive.
My suggestion for improvement would be the possibility for admin users to configure new charts and create metrics.
For example, how much of my capacity was dedicated to billable demands, non-billable, and time off. This is important data to gain more knowledge of the operation and understand how each layer of the organization dedicates itself to day-to-day activities.
In summary, I believe the way for the tool to continue standing out is the creation of new reporting functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After using othe time logging and resource planning tools I can confirm that Float is the easiest , frequent and the most productive tools to make work logs and scheduling easier for management.
The wide variety of additional features offered paired with ease of implementation and easier to integrate with other tools provide a one stop solution to all problems related to time and resource management and planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI even though it is user friendly but in some instances the UI can be counter productive as well, say for example in times of applying for leave. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is user-friendly. It was easy to integrate with the existing time log system, its implementation was easy and easy to teach the users how to use it and its features. Features like Log time, Schedule time, Emails received for the scheduled time, and Log off are frequently used. The services are so good that we didn't need to seek help from Customer support, but as the services are good, Customer support should also be best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Initially once could have an issue while using the app which happens in all cases, but once you are used to the Float app. You will not find any issues with the app. There is no point in disliking the Float. But there is one issue that it can't be synced with the Jira which is a little drawback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the most appealing aspects of Float is its intuitive interface. The platform is visually clean and organized, making it easy to navigate and understand, even for those new to resource management software.
I started using Float 10 years ago. As our business evolved, we switched to different competitors, but we always missed the simplicity and straightforwardness of Float. That's why we switched back to Float 3 years ago, and we’re still glad we did. We've been using it every day since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Depending on your needs, Float's simplicity might mean it lacks some of the more complex features that other competitors offer. For us, however, this is actually a positive, as it makes Float easy to integrate and use daily across all our projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am a designer working in a Studio. PMs are the ones who has access to edit and change my schedule. The live updates and how easy it is to use it. I use it every day, I love how it's intgrated with Slack and the incorporation in my calendar
Suggestion: it would be super nice if I can add my float time in my calendar but NOT in the 'all day' section, but to be able to edit this myself and place the time into different time slots Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Colours: The colours, despite choosing them ourselves, is very hard to know which ones are the faded ones (not logged) and the ones that have been completed.
Suggestions: Sometimes PMs add a project time but it would be good to be able to suggest times, for them to approve so their job is easier too.
Management: When you are managing, the Schedule vuew is very hard to see in detailed what are they working on that particular week. A 'loggin time' view is much bigger and easy to see, it would be nice to be able to see that from your peers.
Notes: When I write notes, automatically the time gets logged in, I'd like to be able to change these notes for myself without having to ask all the time to PMs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the simplicity and ease of use that Float offers. Its intuitive interface makes it incredibly straightforward to track my tasks and manage my work throughout the day. The clean design and seamless functionality allow me to stay organized and focused, which significantly boosts my productivity. Overall, Float’s user-friendly approach to time tracking and task management is what stands out most to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although Float is a robust tool for resource and project management, one significant drawback is its lack of seamless integration with Azure DevOps. This limitation can hinder its utility for teams heavily invested in Azure DevOps for task management and assignment. This disconnect necessitates additional manual effort and can undermine the seamless experience that Float otherwise aims to provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Float has been a game-changer in managing my projects and team activities. The platform's design is intuitive, making it easy to navigate through tasks, schedules.
The real strength of Float its ability to keep me organized. With its comprehensive scheduling features, I can efficiently plan and track my activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and resources are utilized effectively. The visual timelines and drag-and-drop functionality make it straightforward to adjust plans as needed, which is invaluable for staying on top of project changes.
Moreover, Float excels at providing insights into team performance and development. I can easily monitor how my team is progressing on various tasks, identify any bottlenecks, and allocate resources where they are most needed. This visibility into the team's workload and productivity helps in making informed decisions and maintaining a balanced workload across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Float has a good range of features, but it may fall short if you rely heavily on other specialized tools for your workflow. Integration options are somewhat limited compared to other project management tools, which could be a drawback if you need to connect with a wide array of external applications.
