As someone who works flexible hours, I find Float incredibly helpful to schedule. I use it every day to schedule my ever-varying calendar and it's very easy to allocate timings to the projects I'm working on, which can be compared well with the rest of the team's calendar too. There is unfortuantely no feature to input exact times into Float and only lengths of time, so I have to use the "notes" feature to add exact times, which can be a bit annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish we could archieve people on projects easily. We have projects that spam over months at a time and resources can change week to week. When you try to sort by project a number of profiles that even briefly touched the project appear and cause clutter. The only way to clean it up is to removed them from the project which very tetious and deletes any history on the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dependent on the workflow need, Float has great potential for resource allocation. It's GANTT chart visuals are great. Once the phases were discovered, it was easier to see project flow.

If you are heavily project based with short and quick turnarounds this is extremely administrative intensive. Therefore, my frequency of use has been limited.

Float makes time and task management simple. It's intuitive and easy to use. The team scheduling percentages is super helpful at demonstrating who in the team may be overloaded or who might have capacity. It's helped us get a better grip of our billability and share workload around more appropriately. Now Float is the first thing I check when I get to the office in the morning.
