I have been working on FNMS for almost 8 years. FNMS has improved alot in past many years. Easy navigation, user freindly interface and automated license compliance management for most of the software products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing is on bit higher side and need to spend alot to get most of the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Product normalization and discovery. Often times, the data we pull from our environment is impossible to process in its state. The normalization makes it much easier to analyze what we have in our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of access to our own data after moving to the cloud. We had solutions that pulled data from our on prem database. There is currently no way to do this in the cloud since we can no longer access our database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the fact we can pull data by last source inventory or OS. It helps with focusing in on areas that we need to review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not fond of the fact we can't determine from the last inventory source the version of agent. We are in the process of going from 32 bit to 64 bit via v 14 (MAC no longer allow 32 bit software). We are trying to make sure the data is being pulled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It makes license management team to track each software and licenses very easily without much effort Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vcenter scanning part to be improved as VM without host never goes down Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it has main features included, such as device inventory, license inventory and management dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ARL updates is lacking
There's no major minor version for software like Java
There's no easy way to bulk search via device to display software inventory
Reconciliation is a major setback.
It's still not the single source of truth from software inventory point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Helps with decrypting the report logs for metrics reporting and Usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Helps with decrypting the report logs for metrics reporting and Usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Core functionality. I use it to manage contracts, track purchases, and to manage licensing. The core functionality has a good foundation to it and integrates well with other components within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Missing attributes in column choosers for different views. When users leave the company, their information is removed from ownership in historical purchase data. I've had mixed results with building custom reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Report options.
Possibility to customade reports are highly valuable. It is easy and intuitive, and can be made completely without programming experience.
In generel FlexNet is intuitive and built as an "easy to use" solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We experience some disruptance and some data which does not always match.
Also the setup and implementation is very timeconsuming and needs to be programmed to your needs. I prefer a solution that is more "out of the box" as it decreases errors and makes future upgrades and maintenance less complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy deployment of agents, custom reports and user interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reconcilation may take too much time. There is no console for agent tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
