Filevine gives me the ability to sleep at night knowing that file management and oversight is being handled. I can run various reports to check on virtually any aspect of case and personnel oversight. I love that the Filevine team listens to recommendations and are constantly improving and updating functionality and adding new features. It has helped us tremedously to be able to cc files with emails, so those communications don't get lost and are easily accessible within the project activity feed. I love that I can update sections, templates, etc... as needed on my own. Also, the Quickbooks and Outlook integrations have been invaluable. Customer Support is extremely responsive and helpful when questions or issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was cumbersome and time consuming to initially set up, but worth the time and effort in the long run. I think we were early adopters so I feel certain that process has become much more simplified since then.
Audit reports could be expanded to show exactly what was done by whom in a project, i.e,. which document was deleted by whom, not just that a document was amended. Also the audits are limited to last 60 days and an issue is often not discovered within that time frame so the timeframe needs to be greatly expanded. In short, the Audit reporting could be much more useful and beneficial if attention was given to this area of Filevine. I feel certain they will be updating these concerns in the near future. The most cumbersome part of Filevine is the Report Fusions. I think there has to be a way to simplify creating these. Hopefully this will be addressed also, but I think this may be replaced by AI, but Filevine is charging per file for AI, rather than adding it as an update to the existing service. I enjoy Filevine for it's user-friendly interface, robust case tracking capabilities, seamless collaboration features, and efficient document management, enhancing overall productivity and organization within our firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Accessing clients in the address book. For example, when you try to look up a client in the address book or the 'Search for Project' section, if you misspell the clients name, even by one letter, it will pull up a list of irrelevant names; names that aren't even close to what I type in. I find this odd and extremely inefficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Filevine is rapidly improving on an already great product for our unique civil plaintiff firm. It allows us to bill for our time, add in contingencies, communicate incredibly well with peers while sharing a well controlled repository of case documents. But what I like best is that they are constantly improving and evolving. As great as it is today, i can't wait to see what it's like down the road. The integration with Quickbooks Online makes financial reporting and trust accounting a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
FileVine has grown in line with how law firms themselves grow, and as such there isn't as much managerial control or production of data and reports embedded in the system itself for business people like me running the firm. It will get there, but I am certain very few firms are clamoring for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
fast, user-friendly, time saving and effortless software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really do not have anything to dislike
If anything maybe a version for Ipad/Iphone, to catch up on a couple of things while on the road, or to let people work from a remote area?(without a pc) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Filevine is hands down one of the best legal case management software solutions on the market today that helps in managing a variety of complex cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one aspect of Filevine that I find a bit frustrating is how documents open in the browser instead of using the native application, like Word or Excel. While this setup can be convenient for quick viewing, it sometimes slows down workflow when I need to make more detailed edits or formatting changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a case management software, FIlevine excels offering friendly user workflows for law firms. I like a lot that has different features to centralize communications, tasks and file management in one platform, reducing the time spent on administrative work and enhances team collaboration. Also allows synchronization with mailing software and calendar systems and is invaluable for managing case files efficiently.
We use it on a daily basis to keep track of client's case progress and also to track the team performance and KPI's.
Another highlight is the task automation system, reducing human error and ensuring that deadlines are consistenlty met, which is crucial in legal field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I consider that there is room for improvement in syncronizing on real time the Team Tab with the changes that are applied on the Case Summary tab, making it easier to reassign cases from one team member to another, avoiding that manual changes need to be made. Also, the Case Vitals might need some adjustments because you can't configure yet how to made custom view for project type on this new feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can keep track of tasks very easily, and keep files organized electronically. Also VineSign is very easy to use and helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least helpful thing is that the tasks are not ordered by importance or urgency. For example we can change due date, but there is no place to put whether the task is urgent or not Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a place for everything so that anything the attorney wants to know about the case is at his fingertips! The medical providers for your clients, their bills, the litigation deadlines, documents, the team members working each case - it's all there and easily accessed. I love that the program is Windows-based so that you can log on anywhere and add notes or review the case. Our firm uses the program all day, every day! I also like the interaction with the Hona program - it's been a great asset to our firm in being able to easily update and communicate with our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The report builder feature is not as easy to use as some other programs I've worked with in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Currently, we are are not using the billing. At this point that would be my only dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a ton of things I have come to appreciate from Filevine. We transferred over from another platform and I will say that I am grateful for that. Filevine makes case management easy on a daily basis. It is such an organized system has helped me stay on track with the tasking option and the calendar is easy to view. There are a ton of features that have helped all of us at the firm be more efficient and effective. The tasking with deadlines has also been a lifesaver and I love it! HIGHLY recommend. It helps me manage my work and many cases in a flexible, efficient manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The confusing number and nature of contractors we needed to migrate our data from our legacy system to FV was poorly communicated during the selling process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
