**What do you like best about Filevine?**

Finally, on a scale from 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend Filevine to a friend or colleague?
I really like the continued improvements to the user interface, which make the platform feel more modern and easier to navigate. The updates to task management and communication tools are also very helpful, as they make it easier to collaborate with team members and stay on top of case progress. Additionally, the ability to centralize information and access it quickly has become even more efficient with recent updates, which adds a lot of value to our daily workflow.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Filevine could improve its speed and overall performance, as occasional lag can interrupt workflow efficiency. Enhancing the search functionality would also be very beneficial, making it easier to quickly locate specific documents or information within large cases. Additionally, more flexibility in customizing workflows, reports, and notifications would help teams tailor the platform more closely to their specific needs. Improving the mobile experience would also be a great addition for users who need to access cases on the go.

**What do you like best about Filevine?**

It’s a comprehensive legal practice management software that covers all aspects of legal case management and helps take care of the entire process.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

There are a lot of clicks to get things done.  That is a concern for our users.

**What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a solution that went beyond basic document management and could also handle the large volume of documents we have. Filevine provides unlimited data along with practice management, which better fits our needs. Outlook is good, but it doesn’t go far enough for what a major law firm requires. Filevine offers a database structure that makes sense to lawyers, and having all the information you need for a case in one place is critical. Filevine delivers that centralized view.

The interface of Filevine is easy to understand and very helpful.  It integrates perfectly into our Microsoft 365 environment and our SurePoint environment.

Support has been outstanding to work with.  Being able to get on a Zoom meeting with them and show them what we are seeing is brilliant.

As Filevine is completely cloud based, we were a little concerned about performance and it has been very good.  There are times when the internet is having a bad day or a computer system is being grumpy, but a quick reboot of the computer or refresh of the screen usually helps that.

Price was a real concern for us when we started looking at Filevine.  However, their sales team was able to resolve our concerns by showing us that there are valuable areas of saving we get with Filevine that we could utilize and that brought the cost down.

Filevine is really going all in with AI and I think that will really pay off for them.  We are cautiously exploring their AI tool, Lois, to see how well it will work for us.  We haven't jumped too quickly into the AI area as we want to see where it will all play out, but we do need to do something and having AI in our practice management system really does make sense.

I really like how easy Filevine is to use, making it straightforward to manage my tasks. The implementation process was smooth and intuitive, requiring minimal training for our team to get up and running. I also appreciate the frequent updates they provide, which help keep everything running smoothly. Additionally, the organization of information is really well done, which makes my legal work much easier and improves the management of customer service and support.

The customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any questions or issues that arise. Their willingness to listen to feedback and provide tailored solutions has been invaluable. Whether through live chat, email, or phone, support is accessible and efficient, making me feel confident that help is always available when needed.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Filevine hasn't presented any issues for me so far. The platform runs smoothly, and I have been able to manage my cases, documents, and client communications without any technical difficulties or operational setbacks.

Filevine helps with document organization, case notes, and coworking, making it easy to use and well-organized. It also greatly simplifies client communication by providing a centralized platform where all messages, updates, and client information can be easily accessed and managed, allowing for faster and more efficient responses.

The integration with many other platforms is amazing. Furthermore, the easy way to use and understand the modules is very user-friendly. Also, the performance of each module makes it easy to archive and pull out the information that is needed.

Some personal reports have a limit on the fields we can pull, which restricts the information available and makes it necessary to reprocess certain tasks.

It supports a lot of information and allows us to update internal cases. It also lets us store a larger amount of it without losing information, and it helps us keep the data readable and well structured.

**What do you like best about Filevine?**

I find Filevine does a good job of organizing information and allows for good document organization, especially helpful when it comes to keeping all our documents with a case within the CRM, rather than in a separate cloud-based program or on a hard drive. It also supports editing Word documents well.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Filevine charges to develop a sync for every program, even previously free ones, and also charges an annual fee. If you want your information to sync with QuickBooks, you have to pay an annual fee in addition to having that sync developed for you. This was standard and included previously. Their technical support is terrible, requiring weeks of follow-up if issues can't be quickly resolved, and standard features present in other CRMs are lacking. They won't implement simple changes needed for functionality. The reporting is basic and cannot generate standard law firm reports. The initial setup was very difficult and costly beyond the contrac feest, despite assurances to the contrary. Learning how to use Filevine is difficult; it's not user-friendly.

Filevine organizes our information well and keeps all documents with the client case, eliminating the need for separate cloud storage.

There's some new features now in Filevine that makes legal representation process way easier than ever, Demands AI, grants us the opportunity to prepare a comprehensive demand in no time, a process that use to take a couple of days for us is now completed in around 2 hours, this is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Within the feature of "Client Portal by Filevine" you cannot create message templates as these are useful for maintaining client communication at the best level, it would be great if Filevine starts implementing just that.

**What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's currently taking away additional efforts to compile documentation prior sending a demand, it allows our firm to keep track of every expense and allows us to maintain accurate reports.

With Filevine AI we no longer have to worry about reviewing Medical Records or Police reports, AI creates A Medical Summary allowing me the opportunity to focus on more details in less time to prepare for a demand, Demands AI is also making me to get rid of paying others for prepare a demand, I now can trust in Demands AI by Filevine to prepare a demand package that previously could´ve taken me 4 -8 hrs to prepare to only less than an hour.

How everything we need to handle our cases is in one place, accessible and organized.

It gets slow from time to time, taking time to generate QuickSheets or even displaying them.

We have all the necessary support documents for each client, including email and text communication with the client and adjusters, as well as notes, to ensure clear timeliness. Everyone on the team knows what's happening with each case by simply taking a quick look at the activity feed.

I wish it would not glitch as much, sometimes it will kick me out while working on an important task and I have to sign in again. It may be due to recent updates. Also to verify user, I feel it should be a one time verification once logged in.

Automatically assigning tasks to the correct team members helped alot instead of the intake team or primary having to manually distribute the tasks.

I appreciate how Filevine organizes our documents and lets us take quick and easy notes on case statuses. I also like the individual case email feature, which makes it easy to input emails and send documents to the case. The calendar due dates help in keeping everything organized and maintaining a flow of materials going out or coming in.

I don't like that it dumps all documents into the 'docs' tab instead of automatically sorting them into categories like pleading or medical records. Also, the initial setup was really rough and took several months.

We have been able to get things updated and have them run the way we would like for the most part.   There are definitely still some improvements that could be made (that we've suggested) that need to happen for us to be 100% satisfied

Yes - several things we have discussed with them to keep everything together and organized.  

**Recommendations to others considering Filevine:**

Make sure the sales people don't overlook vital details of what you are purchasing.  Make sure you are able to do exactly what you want.

Filevine gives us the backbone to run our operations consistently and at scale. I appreciate how customizable the workflows are—allowing us to tailor the system to our processes across departments. Automation, task management, and integrated reporting (with tools like Domo and Lead Docket) have improved visibility and accountability at every level. Overall, Filevine has made it much easier to standardize how we work, spot bottlenecks, and measure outcomes in real time.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Many features that should be standard—like robust reporting (Domo), AI-powered document automation, and advanced integrations—require significant extra fees. There’s no native sync with local drives or most document management systems, so we had to pay a third-party vendor to make that work. The add-on costs can add up quickly and aren’t always transparent at the start. New releases sometimes lack documentation or support, and you have to be ready for a fair amount of internal troubleshooting. Filevine is a strong platform, but budget for extras if you want a truly seamless, modern workflow.

**What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filevine has solved the problem of fragmented case management and inconsistent workflows across departments. Before Filevine, tracking cases, deadlines, and team accountability required too many tools and manual processes. With Filevine, we now have one platform for intake, case handling, task management, and reporting, which streamlines communication and minimizes errors. The result is improved operational efficiency, faster onboarding for new team members, and better client outcomes. It’s also allowed us to leverage data analytics to drive continuous improvement and growth.

Still very likely to recommend, however upon using I see some glitches tend to show up every now and then

fax services tends to have glitches, I had 2 failed to send faxes last week.

Filevine is solving the problematic not having everything integrated. 

for example: you have a document

before, you needed 3 different programs in order to: 1) email the doc 2) fax the doc 3) print the doc

from filevine you can do this 3 things from the same place. (having everything integrated, I believe, saves time)

Easy to find files through search and the OLD layout of the docs tab. The new layout is not useer friendly.

The new docs view. It is not user friendly. Folders with the list view inside the folder was much easier.

Everything we need to manage our case files are located in the same place.

Report builder is a little bit cumbersome to use. Sometimes it is hard to filed the criteria to select.

The benefits are that we can track expenses, meds, insurance limits, etc. We can manage all our cases through this one program.

I like the new feed, it makes it easier to locate documents and navigate.

Maybe sync our Google Calendar with Filevine.

I went from being used to working with nothing but physical files, and having your files electronically is a game changer! you avoid the paper mess, you get frequent reminders and it is accessible from anywhere as long as you have your computer instead of having to wait to be in your office where you only have physical files.

It's all-encompassing in that it allows our firm to make notations, send faxes, generate letters, and track all case information in a customizable format.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

certain functions will suddenly not work for a few hours. For example, I find that I will return to a document that I previously extracted pages from to find that the pages are back, even after I saved it. I also dislike that Filevine will sometimes complicate sections unnecessarily by adding too many functions and pop-out windows. For high-volume firms like ours, simple, clean, but functional is best.

Filevine has helped our firm to streamline and track statistics on our workflow, and it has also helped us to create a platform that is customized to our very specific needs and firm structure. This allows us to spend less time on menial tasks and focus on what matters.

**What do you like best about Filevine?**

Filevine is incredibly customizable and you can edit the platform to achieve nearly any kind of general workflow you'd like. On a user level, Filevine is incredibly easy to navigate and utilize to it's full functionality if the build team has done their job correctly. Filevine works wonderfully when integrating with other applications.
We have thousands of clients/cases and over one hundred users all actively working out of Filevine 40+ hours every week. For the most part, Filevine works seamlessly despite the many different users and frequency of use.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

Filevine's customer service and IT support are essentially non-existent. They maintain a portal to submit features requests and it needs serious work. There are tens of suggestions that are already implemented features but their status stays "open for voting", presumably meaning it will be even longer before Filevine addresses the sorely needed feature requests that have not been addressed.
There are some incredibly silly issues that should be incredibly easy to fix, but the issues persist. For example, if there is a text field for a currency amount, Filevine does not include any commas. This makes it much too easy to accidentally type $1,000,000 versus $100,000. 
You absolutely NEED to work with a Filevine Implementation Partner to use this product. Filevine straight out of the box is incredibly simple and Filevine provides less than zero support to Admins working to build their firm's navigation.

Our experience with this system has been extremely disappointing. We paid for a product that was unworkable and never completed, and despite repeated attempts, the support provided was neither timely nor effective.

The fixes that were offered came far too late, communication was inconsistent, and the third-party assigned to us admitted fault, lacked expertise in our field, and even brought in a fourth party to try and mitigate their lack of skills (VineSkills). Calls and responses were often delayed or indefinitely postponed, which added to the frustration.

This situation borders on fraudulent, and the lack of professionalism and responsibility is deeply concerning. I cannot recommend this platform based on our experience.

I work as a legal assistant for a personal injury lawyer. Filevine allows me to stay on top of everything. All of the documents I need to send to the client, medical providers, and insurance companies are so simple to create. Vinesign for e-signatures from Filevine is seamlessly integrated. Keeping track of case expenses within Filevine is simple. I use Filevine's DocGen to create all of the documents we require. To be honest, I have no complaints about Filevine, and If I have any questions, their chat support has been fantastic.

Sales department needs improvement. When there is an issue, it is impossible to solve.

Accessing clients in the address book. For example, when you try to look up a client in the address book or the 'Search for Project' section, if you misspell the clients name, even by one letter, it will pull up a list of irrelevant names; names that aren't even close to what I type in. I find this odd and extremely inefficient.

They are doing a great job of incorporating features that prevent us from having to use outside resources to accomplish a task. For example, the sidebar feature makes it easy for my team to communicate about a specific case by simply starting a sidebar chat. We no longer have to email eachother "Hey, go take a look at Mr. Smith's case and tell me what you think?".

Filevine is rapidly improving on an already great product for our unique civil plaintiff firm.  It allows us to bill for our time, add in contingencies, communicate incredibly well with peers while sharing a well controlled repository of case documents.  But what I like best is that they are constantly improving and evolving.  As great as it is today, i can't wait to see what it's like down the road.  The integration with Quickbooks Online makes financial reporting and trust accounting a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

FileVine has grown in line with how law firms themselves grow, and as such there isn't as much managerial control or production of data and reports embedded in the system itself for business people like me running the firm.  It will get there, but I am certain very few firms are clamoring for it.

**What problems is Filevine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to track time into 300+ active cases that take on average 18 months to be resolved.  This process creates hundreds if not thousands of files (Pdf, Doc) and FileVine does a wonderful job with these tasks. 
We also work as a team, or better described an Assembly Line, so the ability to +@ our teammates for notes, assign tasks,etc... is priceless.

As a case management software, FIlevine excels offering friendly user workflows for law firms.  I like a lot that has different features to centralize communications, tasks and file management in one platform, reducing the time spent on administrative work and enhances team collaboration. Also allows synchronization with mailing software and calendar systems and is invaluable for managing case files efficiently. 
We use it on a daily basis to keep track of client's case progress and also to track the team performance and KPI's. 

Another highlight is the task automation system, reducing human error and ensuring that deadlines are consistenlty met, which is crucial in legal field.

**What do you dislike about Filevine?**

I consider that there is room for improvement in syncronizing on real time the Team Tab with the changes that are applied on the Case Summary tab, making it easier to reassign cases from one team member to another, avoiding that manual changes need to be made. Also, the Case Vitals might need some adjustments because you can't configure yet how to made custom view for project type on this new feature.
