The Drag&Drop editor has it flaws, but we don’t really use it. There could also be more options to integrate with external services, you basically have to do it via API and entirely on your end. Generally, there are 3 areas why I like working with ExpertSender: Reporting/API, Targeting and personal support.
1) Working as a Data Scientist for an Email Marketing Company, detailed insights into our performance as well as an effective system to make sure that our messages reach the right audience are key. Fortunately, Expertsender offers one of the best reporting systems, in terms of depth and UX, I've encountered in an ESP so far. Statistics can be aggregated in multiple ways from simple date ranges, over domains and domain families (extremely helpful for inbox providers that have multiple domains like Microsoft) up to the individual IPs that were used during the send out. Also available inside of the platform itself are external statistics like SNDS or (Market dependent) Signal Spam. Nearly every report, as well as the raw user activity data, can also be accessed via API. As a result, creating your dashboards and statistics are pretty easy
2) Targeting is the reason why we looked at Expertsender is the first place (see below). Their integrated tag-system allows for easy and individual categorization. Targeting then females, interested in fashion that have been active during the past two weeks, it a) possible and b) just takes those three conditions during the segment creating.
3) Delivering large amounts of emails is more complicated than many people realize. Expertsenders deliverability and in particular our account manager have helped us to identify and fix flaws in our strategy and templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an ESP and not an SMTP relay, it's currently only possible to sent a mailing via API to lists and segments that are already created in the system, instead of simply handing over an array of recipient emails - and segments can't be created via API. For a full end-to-automation, those two features are something I would wish for in the future.
Also, even though it's easy, creating more complicated segments can naturally take its time. The option to "copy-paste" parts of a segment could speed things up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using the user interface is simple and intuitive. Extensive segmentation allows you to segregate subscribers, which allows them to send customized marketing offers.
Thanks to segmentation and the search algorithm, we managed to restore communication with less active subscribers.

ExpertSender has so many options for segmenting database and optimizing that at the moment we know that it was a tool for us! We've got so many attributes about our clients (such as type of skin or hair) and we can generate the right segment with a few clicks. Our biggest challange was Magento synchronization. We've got unusual sales model (cosmetics boxes in subscription), so the beginnins were difficult, but we've finished this process. Expert Sender has amazing workflows and automation features. You can make them as simple or as complex as you like. We have several workflows setup now that cover the different life cycles of our subscribers.
Another feature that has been very helpful is the ability to create goals and then have workflows or new campaigns start or move to a different offer depending if the goal has been reached. Very powerful! We can now easily stop sending promotion series A when the user has converted and automatically move to a new promotion.
The other thing I like best about Expert Sender is their amazing support. Having a dedicated account manager has been great. At first the functionality and many options available to use in creating campaigns was a bit overwhelming. This overwhelm didn't last long with the great customer support they provide. we rest assured that all the customer data is transferred smoothly and used in various business

There could be more ready-made integrations, however, the possibility to use API to connect
with virtually every 3rd party service compensates it. It also takes a bit time and effort to really
