I can save almost anything to my Evernote account, typed notes, website clippings, pdf files, pictures. The Web Clipper and the "email to Inbox" features are especially useful for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find the constant update notifications a little frustrating because I am usually starting Evernote to capture something quickly or search for notes based on a current thought. In neither case am I wanting to be distracted by whatever update has just been completed, even though this information demonstrates the commitment to excellence of the Evernote team. The ability to seamlessly sync across all my devices. I can take notes on my phone during a meeting and instantly access them on my laptop later. The tagging system and notebooks make it easy to organize everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free version has some limitations in terms of device syncing, and the premium plans can be a bit expensive for startups with tight budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Comfortable interface. It's just a notes... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They always want to milk money.
They started by banning me from using notes on my phone and computer at the same time.
Then they said I've exhausted my "free number of new notes"
Every time I log into their service, they show me an annoying and irritating pop-up with their "awesome offer". No one uses such cheap and disgusting advertising anymore.
So I'm looking for another free resource to move to. This is just a note-taking service that few people use for any full-fledged work, especially those who are not ready to pay for it.
Maybe I would have paid for a subscription at some point. I don't know. But with this attitude, it will definitely not be Evernote. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fast formatting, folders, search, synchronization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free version prompts you to buy the paid version EVERY TIME you open it. To close the intrusive pop-ups, you have to navigate through UX traps. Additionally, the synchronization limit of just one device and various other restrictions make for a terrible experience.
The paid version includes a lot of useless features that can't be disabled. The AI tool is utterly useless and doesn't provide any benefit.
When I tried to delete my account, they couldn't do it. Even when I submitted a ticket, the support team did not respond to my requests or concerns.
I've transferred my 600 notes and am hoping that someday my Evernote account will be deleted.
I strongly recommend against using this app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Evernote is helpful because you can customize your organization to your needs and type of work you are doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free version limits the use and storage size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Evernote is my favourite productivity app. To be fair, I can't live without it. I use it 10 to 20 times a day. If you know how to use Evernote well, It can be your second brain. Evernote is not just a pace to share your notes, you can save images, files, and web pages to your Evernote. You can use Evernote as a cloud storage to save digital notes. Evernote free version is limited to only 60MB of space per month and you are only allowed to use only on 2 devices at a time. This is not really good for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What Ii like on Evernote is that it`s so organized that you can get to separate dates and to do list. It easily reminds me of my future schedules and projects to do. It is free to use, you may use it without upgrading with payment.
It`s just like a notepad but with menus tabs and different options for scheduling.
I can recommend this to you for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike about Evernote, is wwhy do they have to ask users to upgrade for payment, we can use it for free without paying, so hy upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I truly believe that Evernote owes its logo: It does help to build an elephant's memory, not only in terms of capacity but also regarding the limitless connections you can create and enrich, following your preferred classification rules. You can add as many tags, notebooks, and sub-notebooks as you can, not to mention the internal links bridging notes to each other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The dramatic revamp of the desktop version a few years ago resulted in slowly loading notes, that might be as long as 2-3 seconds, they do weigh and frustrate in the long run. Despite the several updates since then, those flaws have become part of the user experience.
Apart from that, I didn't appreciate the plain presentation of the tags. In the legacy version, I used to give them color according to their nature (for example: notes related to business in orange, those associated with my reads in blue, etc.). Now, I struggle to find them, visually.
Yet another thing I deplore is that the program automatically picks the language of my operating system. For some reason, the latter is in French (I can't change it), I simply want to use and search Evernote's features in English.
When it comes to editing, I find it hard to navigate a long note. I wish there were anchor links we freely insert to create our table of contents and also jump from one section to another without having to search every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've enjoyed using the Evernote free service for over 10 years to track all manner of notes across a couple of devices. The android app has been relatively easy to use and bug free up until 2023. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In Dec 2023, Evernote silently introduced a requirement that any user who has >50 notes now needs to subscribe to their paid service or you lose the ability to add new notes or new notebooks. While I still have access to existing notes, Evernote has effectively created a Ransom situation virtually overnight. I've used the app multiple times a week for over 10 years and am appalled that there was no warning or heads up leading up to this change. Furthermore, if a user doesn't have the paid version, Evernote has ramped up their ad campaign which now shoves a "limited time only" campaign down your throat 2-3x during each session.
If you wanted to shift your business model the least you could have done is provided a little heads up to help ease the transition to either paid, or a different service. I will forever associate "Evernote" with the words: cheap and classless.
**Evernote admins may attempt to do damange control and comment on my review, but I 100% assure you they did not notify users of the pending change. This should be standard practice; Google and Microsoft have no problem giving users months of advanced notice depending on the app or service involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Versatility. I use Evernote for basic elements like shopping lists or office supplies, even in support of technology projects, I use it to work online with research files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The new view. The current design of Evernote is very minimalist and I don't like it, before it was bigger and more eye-catching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
