Easy to access online content. Being able to adjust the playback speed is great as not all presenters are deliver content at the same speeds, and it can enhance productivity. Allowing dual screens enhances the ability to see the presented material as well as one screen can be focused on the presenter and another on the slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The quality of the online content can depend on the IT setup that is installed and managed, but the software platform itself is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Free for participants - only cost is the facilitators use of software.
Quick and relatively easy way to set up instantaneous polling for participants.
Also, as many other programs utilize the Clicker hardware, this software can accommodate that use for question submission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app often doesn’t stay logged in to the session if closed out and doesn’t remember user ID.
App can crash, freeze, or otherwise have extremely slow update speeds for new questions.
Sometimes the questions don’t appear on the user platform, which can make it difficult depending on setting of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love when my professors use turning point during class to gauge where us students are in regards to learning the material Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Turning point does not show how much time is left to answer the question on the users screen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about TurningPoint is the ability to use PowerPoint slides to convert them into questions I pose to students in class. It's interactive and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is additional licensing, at a cost, that is required to use TurningPoint Cloud if you want to view/export participant results. Years ago that was not the case. Negative change for sure from the user end!!
You can use it without licensing to get aggregate results, but you are not able to export results or run any participant-based reports without either your Turning Account being licensed or every participant's Turning Account being licensed/registered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Turning Point ARS is a great way to keep students alert and participating during lectures. The clicker was inexpensive for students, and I noticed participation and attendance improved. I love how customizable questions are, and I especially like the fact that it makes big university lecture halls feel more tight-knit. Students could learn from each other, and it helped me understand what areas were misunderstood across the class (i.e. when a large number of students missed the same questions.). Love that you can see real-time results immediately following a poll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no way to stop students from passing on clickers to other students to answer. There were sometimes technical issues with the software gathering results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does provide data analytics (tracking answers from clickers) which can be very helpful in course and individual performance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The process is somewhat clunky but we are using an old version of the software. Upgrading to the current cloud version may resolve the interface and setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did like the simplicity and ease of access that TurningPoint offers - my university uses TurningPoint quite often, so most students have the app already downloaded, and the platform is easily accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really am not a fan of TurningPoint - while I liked how easy it is to access the platform, I found that it was fairly ineffective as a interactive platform, since there are far too few question types and not much room for creativity. I also found that it was very difficult to use TurningPoint for attendance, since there's no way to link attendance outcomes in TurningPoint to the attendance grade system we use. Echo automates the recording and delivery process. The dashboards are easy to use and their LTIs work well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first problem is that lecture recording does not have a way to alert the speaker if their microphone is not being picked up. Without audio the recording is useless. Once a decent recording is loaded there are very minimal editing options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Echo360 maintain an aggressive roadmap, and for the most part deliver the goods. While their design decisions haven't pleased everyone (which is impossible to do) they have an impressive track record in getting it right, which gives me confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The baseline product is a little expensive. The UI could be a little more mobile friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
