I like the automatic nature of the platform in that it's tethered to the start and end time of a class. Nothing needed for turning on or off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very hard to edit the material carefully once the recording has been generated, without removing large portions of it-- in a fast / easy manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Teachers use it to administer tests and quizzes. It helps prevent us students from cheating or cheating and makes data collection and analysis much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that the only problem I have found in the use of the software is the price. Many of us students have to pay the monthly paid version, but there are others who cannot afford it and that is a limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use for all ages. flexibility to participate by computer or phone. Flexibility in build options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Still a little clunky with starting/resetting for each question instead of resetting all questions at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has nice integration with Powerpoint, it can seem native given the way the toolbar works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way the user is required to have a Turning account can be very onerous, licence management within an institution is a nightmare as the user is required to work through the company. I find some of the features to be pretty unstable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well-thought out SaaS platform for higher ed. Designed for higher ed. Use of sprints with updates, and very receptive to product features. Excellent support services. Very stable platform. Recording appliances are very stable. Administered at the institution level, but flexible with sub-admins for colleges, departments, or units. Good student app as well as integration with major LMSs. Somewhat expensive, but given how we were managing servers with the on-premise solution, the SaaS is definitely better. They expanded into audience response which was OK, but we use a different solution for Echo360 for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows for professors to record lectures for students to watch later Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't cancel out background noise, so you can hear students rustling around Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Improves the engagement with the students or others, and helps provide instant feedback as to the instructor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No live reporting on the current usage, and overall reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This app is super helpful to use when my colleagues and I are deciding on something and we need to poll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like how there are lots of bugs here and there, probably because it is lesser known. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve been a user of Echo360 since 2011, using the ESS version before moving across to the SaaS solution. The hardware & software is expensive compared to other lecture capture systems, such as Kaltura & Panopto, but it is robust and continually being developed. Echo360 are moving across to providing an LMS set up for students to interact with & to submit video assignments via VLEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The old ESS was allowed to get v buggy before the SaaS solution was released & the software’s accessibility features are unnecessarily expensive, so automated captions which are 80% accurate would cost my institution £30k alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
