The searching capabilities of the product make life a lot easier. Things like the invoice number, PO number, or any similar identifier are part of what you can use to find what I'm trying to locate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A lot of our employees work remotely so it is really important that everyone is able to have easy access to all of our documents. We liked the Document Locator because it is designed for 10 or more users; it is an excellent Windows-based document management software. Document Locator combines ease of use and great features. Fully integrated into Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook and other business applications. Document Locator is convenient for personnel registration, accounting, projects, contracts. The ease of use. We had a demonstration of the product this week, and we have decided to purchase the product and implement it for our records management. I enjoyed using Document Locator as a research tool for BOMs and line drawings. The interface is very easy and straightforward. Anyone with a basic understanding of search functions can use it. Ability to search not only in file names, but within the files. Ability to tag, categorize and standardize the document structure. Potential to use as a reporting tool, but unlikely due to not reliable data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Did I mention slow? Opening files, working on files, the whole process of checking files in/out, everything is slow and frustrating, especially when you have to meet the deadline and need to make multiple small, last minute adjustments.
