ShipRush allows us to connect to all of our marketplaces, eCommerce sites and internal business management systems to allow easy shipping and reporting under one roof. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not a ton to dislike. I would say the only thing is ShipRush can sometimes be slow to report outages on their outage site. Certain development tracks such as generating the proper Hazardous Goods paperwork for UPS and FedEx can be slow and frustrating, but for the most part their development team is incredibly responsive and is willing to add a feature quickly (within days to a week, which is fantastic). ShipRush integrates with our e-commerce sites hosted by WooCommerce and Shopify. It also integrates with QuickBooks (Manufacturing & Wholesale). This last feature was extremely important to us. Many of of our orders arrive via e-mail, fax & telephone and go straight into QuickBooks, not from e-commerce sites. It isn't feasible to have someone manually transfer shipping information from QuickBooks into a shipping application and then enter tracking numbers and shipping costs back into QuickBooks.
ShipRush's customer service and technical support has been prompt and knowledgeable.
Another feature of ShipRush I greatly appreciate is being able to process shipments for USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL in a single application. ShipRush is easier to used than processing orders on DHL's own web site! As the application is browser-based, there is very little software to install, just a "toolbox" (for connecting the browser app to devices such as local printers) and the QuickBooks Web Connector plug-in, which is how ShipRush integrates with Quickbooks. Previously, setting up a new shipping computer with multiple softwares to handle all of the different carriers was a major undertaking.
ShipRush can upload commercial invoices for international shipments sent via UPS, FedEx, and DHL, which means we don't have to attach physical copies to the package. The UPS and FedEx's own apps could do this too, but each app required it's own set-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My primary disappointment with ShipRush is that it only updates batches of shipping transactions with our QuickBooks database on a cycle, every 6-12 minutes, depending on my choice. Other shipping solutions (such as UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager) are capable of updating each transaction with QuickBooks quickly and individually. You need to have either one user's computer doing the updates--which slows QuickBooks down for that user--or dedicate another computer to being logged into QuickBooks and the QuickBooks web connector. But having to wait for the update cycle is inconvenient regardless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been shipping products through multiple sales channels (e-commerce website, eBay, Facebook marketplace) for 20+ years. We have tried other solutions, including built-in shipping solutions, but have found ShipRush to be the easiest and best way to process shipments from all channels and compare multiple carriers for each shipment with just the touch of a button. We are hard pressed to find something we dislike about ShipRush -- we've had a few technical glitches over the years, but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that could not be solved with the support provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very little downtime, works consistently. We use it every day with few glitches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes laggy when comparing rates and dates between carriers. Not as easy as it could've been to bulk ship with a csv. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What we like the best is how easy and quick it is to complete each shipment. It imports all the shipping info from our website and puts it in a nice clean list. We click on the order we want to ship, and all the order information pops up. Put in the weight and dimensions of the box, and you can get quotes from all the carriers in one list! No clicking around to various places to get quotes and find the best rate. It's so so easy. Click on SHIP - the label prints. Then it sends the tracking info back to our website and marks the order as shipped. It's the best software and interface for shipping we've used in the last 15 years, out of 7 to 10 different options we've tried.
Bonus awesome features that are hard to find:
Easily add boxes to your shipment
REPEAT a box if you have multiple that are the same weight/size
All the rates with all the carriers in one list
COD since we have that set up with our UPS account
Connects right to our printers & scale
Fully integrates with our Shift4Shop website
Tons of extra features in the options if you want to get technical about your features (ex: I flipped my labels to print upside down instead because it worked better with our labels.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very hard to think of any downsides. The only thing they could possibly improve is a quick way to add a package to a previously sent shipment. Sometimes we want to send another box out if a customer reported an item missing from their order. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease, simplicity, convenience, reach, speed, accuracy, performance, capabilities, results, cost efficiency, power. These are what I like best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have used ShipRush since its early days and I have relied upon its steadfast performance since day one. It has far exceeded any other solution available and has been 100% rock solid for our shipping of consumer and industry orders.
I cannot think of a single thing to dislike.

If you are looking for a cloud-based shipping software that can help you save time, money, and improve customer service, Descartes ShipRush is a great option. But if you want to implement it with your enterprise network - you need to make sure it is secure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ShipRush integrates with Quickbooks, so I can't accidentally ship to the wrong address. If a customer has an address change...ShipRush pulls the info in real-time. With ShipRush, we can get the rate first to ensure we're on the right track plus, the repeat options save so much time on multiple box shipments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it takes a bit to get newer invoices to show up on ShipRush, but they do eventually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Saves so much time over manually typing in the customer's name, email, shipping address, etc. and we the warehouse folks no longer make mistakes manually entering information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You're not able to revise shipping labels. You have to cancel the shipment and make a new label, which generates a new email to the customer with new tracking information, and this leads to confusion with customers thinking we're shipping the order twice, or they think we cancelled their order just because we cancelled the shipping label. The JS API.
Contrary to other popular shipping apps which work with the paradigm of load ALL your orders in our program and we will manage the queue and print labels... with ShipRush, you can elect to have your system control what order is shipping and upload each order, one at a time, on demand to the Shiprush Web interface... and have the interface callback your system to confirm that the label was printed. This extra control granularity is crucial for our system to maintain selective ship schedule for different orders and support a real-time inventory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The documentation for the JS API is not as good as could should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
