What I like most about Descartes MyCarrierPortal is how easy it is to search for carriers, along with the speed and accuracy of the results. I also appreciate that it’s tailored to my company, so when I open the profile of the entity I searched, it immediately shows the most useful information. I like that it displays the “matched data” between entities and includes additional details that help verify a company’s validity. I also really value that it tells you if another company has any type of report (TIA Watchdog, Double-Brokering, etc.). On top of that, the carrier rating system is a lifesaver and very user-friendly, especially since many users can’t realistically take the time to search for each of the items individually when dispatching a carrier on a load, when MyCarrierPortal carrier rating system shows you all of the areas in need of improvement (if any) and gives an incident report defining in detail what points the carrier has on their system, it also will tell you if everything is acceptable for a company! The only thing I do not like about Descartes MyCarrierPortal is the arrangements of the categories once in an entity's profile/packet. Descartes MyCarrierPortal solves the problem of verifying entity data (emails, phone numbers, company names, addresses, etc.) for payment, and it also gives you the option to obtain the information you need by providing Verified Contact Information for each company in at least one communication type (email, phone, emergency number, main phone number, etc.). I genuinely appreciate the affordability and effectiveness of Descartes MyCarrierPortal. It integrates well with many TMS systems, including ours, which is a significant advantage. I've found the setup process to be quite smooth and straightforward, as the portal is very basic, self-explanatory, and boasts a great user interface. The features that allow me to perform an MC search and send invitations to pre-verified emails efficiently are particularly useful. The STAR system's scorecard is impressive, providing additional verification layers by showcasing how companies are rated. The track load feature is also beneficial as it helps in verifying if companies have tracking software set up, which is crucial for running loads efficiently. The automatic uploading of data into our Ascent TMS is another strong point, which simplifies operations.
