The thing I like most about the system is the commercial insight gained through trade data at a granular level which is otherwise not easy to obtain. It is extremely easy to use with some basic training and understanding of the tool and has become a functional and regular piece of my data gathering portfolio. Much of the automated additional bill of lading level detail is very good, however, for my industry specifically the HTS automated coding can be off which causes a number of issues when searching by HTS. As such, I've stopped using HTS as a filter for my datasets opting for keywords and then cleansing the resulting data as this yields much more reliable results. Similarly. the aggregation stats are often misleading as I find quite a lot of my data requires some level of further cleansing to remove erroneous results. That being said, this is quite possibly an industry specific observation and is minor inconvience for an aspect of the system that I do not typically utilize. It is quite remarkable that Datamyne can offer you a massive ammount of import statistics with Bill of lading information. It must help you analyze market situation with reliable data, such as who is exporting/importing the products you handle from/to which country, with when and how many.
