The tool is used both inside and outside of IT.

Because it is comprehensive, the product is complex, particularly in its policy design, and sometimes the nuances of configuration just have to be experienced. Documentation and FAQs should continue to evolve.
It would be useful if more configuration options were available to fully disable some components which we are not using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For years now, Derdack provides us with a reliable and useful integration to our different, hybrid, monitoring environments. Alerting policies are easily customizeable and adapt to our ever changing needs. Alerts can be traced back and followed in time, rendering a clear path as to what when where why whom. After all those years, the GUI could use a little refreshing. It however is still very useable and, as opposed to many other tools, you still find your way around easily, so that's only a minor point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about Enterprise Alert, besides it being a Robust and flexible alerting product, is the team supporting it. They are verry skilled and quick to assist, helping to tailor the product to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not encountered anthing about Enterprise Alert that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ability to let your users be notified by the methods that they choose. Before, our methods were static. You got a phone call or a SMS text and there was no intergration. Now, you can setup an alert and if the user wants 5 phone calls, or they want a different schedule for work vs home they can do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't alot to dislike. I think if anything Derdack can contiue to expand the project. I know they recently added MS Teams noticiations via team channels, however, I still get asked why we cant have personal noticiations. Also, would be nice to have a easier way for users to onboard with the Mobile App with a QR code that configures the URL instead of them typing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find it a straight forward tool to you use. Next to that I appreciate the support that I receive from Fabian Rupprecht-Kierspe and Frank Mantey Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't found anything yet that I dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DerDack EA is a great tool for organizing duties for 24x7 notifications to our Operations-teams. Everything you need in such a tool is available and quite straightforward to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integrating other automation tools, accept the ones that are out of the box available, is quite troublesome. It would be great if there are easier integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have found that Derdack Enterprise Alerts directly addressed a specialized need for our infrastructure that I could not find any other product to do being a Microsoft school District. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I haven't found anything that I don't like about the product yet. I wanted something that was turn-key for the products that I needed, but at the same time allowed me to integrate anything I wanted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many options and interfaces to connect third-party systems. Variety of notification types from push to email or SMS. As a result, there is a high degree of flexibility in system integration and the possibility of notifying users according to their preferences. Software is constantly being developed. Documentation and ToDo’s expandable.
Our complex structure requires some effort and time to map everything as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We drastically reduced false alerts getting through to our on call teams.
Finally one easy to manage centralized system to control the flow of our alerts, using numerous protocols from mail over SNMP and software specific connectors to two-way-REST-APIs.
Have not found a competing product which brings nearly the same functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of our users dislike the mobile app as it is slow from time to time. It could use an overhaul, which might already have happened with the SIGNL4 connector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been an EA user almost 10 years now and are extremely happy with the product and support. Some things to mention..
* Great looking interface
* Very robust piece of software and they continue to add new features.
* Easy to schedule oncall (drag and drop and it remembers your pattern)
* Easy to run Alert policies based on emails. It also interfaces with a lot of monitoring systems
which makes setup easy.
* Remote actions do the work for the user keeping you out of it! They can send an email to EA and a script will run
if they are in the correct security group taking care of whatever process you wish. We use it for licensing.
* SMS Broadcasting is great for mass notifications of downtime. We use this monthly for our outages of critical systems
* Easy to setup notification channels. We moved to a cloud based VOIP this year (cost savings) and it
was so simple to get setup and cutover.
* Support is awesome! they work with you on problems and even upgrades if you're nervous. You don't have a good
company without good support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* No dislikes. Its a solid app and I've never had any complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The implementation of Enterprise Alert was straightforward, thanks to Getting Started. Enterprise Alert perfectly covers our processes in the company. The administration and also the use for our colleagues is simple and reduced to the essentials. In case of special requests, the support was able to assist us directly and create a solution. More notification channels such as MS Teams with the ability to acknowledge alerts from chat would be a nice feature. And our department heads would like more reporting options directly from the web interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
