What do you like best about DemandScience?

What do you like best about DemandScience?

Sigstr is the answer to a question we didn't know we had. I ran into Sigstr at the Salesloft event last year and loved the concept. We started using them a month later and I no longer have to worry about what our team's email signature looks like or what links they present. We now have not only consistency of content, but also messaging. But wait, there's more... The messaging can be broken down into groups so the sales message can be different than the support message. What do you like best about DemandScience?

I think the visualization is great. When you're talking about the Marketing/Sales funnel and conversions, it's easier for your audience to understand if there is a picture that can help tell the story. I also like that it makes my job easier. Salesforce has limitations and I usually need to export and connect data sets manually in Excel. BrightFunnel pulls all of that data from Salesforce and puts it together for you! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DemandScience?

I don't like that there are limitations on values (i.e. you can only show one). We look at one value for new business and another two values for renewals so the renewal data will have to be taken with a grain of salt as it won't be 100% accurate (and include 2 values).. Recommendations to others considering DemandScience:

Implementation is key. If you don't set it up properly, it won't be useful so work closely with Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DemandScience solving and how is that benefiting you?

We don't have a way for Marketing to measure our influence on existing business. We currently use a first touch model and that can't be applied to clients who may have been inspired to purchase another product because of a webinar we hosted. What do you like best about DemandScience?

Simplicity of use; the pre-built reporting provides CMO executive summaries as well as allowing deep-dives into Channel performance and Campaign attribution with a single click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DemandScience:

GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out) - Don't make the mistake in assuming BrightFunnel will automatically fix your attribution or highlight your top Marketing campaigns; there is still a certain amount of discipline required in setting up your campaigns correctly in Salesforce and being rigorous in how you set expectations, input costs and time periods etc. Setting these fundamentals early on will allow BrightFunnel to be even more impactful for your business needs. Having worked in database management and struggled with data hygiene for reporting for 10+ years, Bright Funnel changed my life as a Marketing Analyst. I spend more time delivering insights to the business, time that I used to spend manipulating and cleaning up bad data. What do you like best about DemandScience?

The Terminus platform is great because it's service and it just works. Its very user friendly, and honestly it just works. As soon as my assets are ready, I can get a campaign uploaded for review in minutes. I don't have to talk to anyone or dig through instructions, I can handle it all on my own. It is worth pointing out though that you do have support if you need it. The Account Team at Terminus is great at checking in, providing best practices, sharing updates, etc. With a platform that is as easy to us as this, they don't really need to put any effort into account management, but they still do. What do you dislike about DemandScience?

I'm not sure if there is anything I actually "dislike", and the few things that I know needed improvements, have already been updated or are on their 2017 roadmap. And they're simple, more convenient things then anything with functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When we were looking at AMB platform options, Terminus was the one that allowed us to be fully in control, and we love it. If that's what your looking for (no worries the support is still there when you need it), Terminus is right for you too. Oh and the price is right too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DemandScience solving and how is that benefiting you?

We work in a very targeted B2B environment, so we've always avoided mass marketing (like digital ads), because we'd be wasting resource. With Terminus, and ABM we now have the ability to target specific companies in our target demographic. What do you like best about DemandScience?

**Multi-touch Attribution**

BrightFunnel transformed our SalesForce data to give us real insight on how our marketing campaigns are driving revenue. Before Multi-touch, we were relying on the "Primary Campaign Source" field in SalesForce for pipeline/revenue attribution. This field was unreliable/inconsistent as many different people had different ideas of which campaign should be considered the "primary" source. Now, we get the full view of ALL of the campaigns influencing opportunities.

**The People**

The BrightFunnel team has been a pleasure to work with. Their support team responds quickly and has always resolved my issues. The Customer Success team stays in constant communication with me and my needs have even driven new product features and other changes in the product based on my feedback. What do you dislike about DemandScience?

I think the product is lacking in some data visualizations. There are some very useful graphs and data representations in the product, but also some that are not helpful to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DemandScience:

Be prepared to communicate through all of your metrics to understand how you want BrightFunnel to process your SalesForce data. We spent a lot of time re-iterating on our implementation as we worked toward a consistent definition for attribution, what counts as a marketing touch point, etc.

Make sure your exec team (or whoever will be looking at BrightFunnel data) is on board and has a say in this process. You need to understand what metrics are important to them to ensure you are using BrightFunnel to full effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DemandScience solving and how is that benefiting you?

BrightFunnel has really helped us optimize our Marketing Campaign budget. We have been able to identify our less effective campaigns and re-allocate that budget to other Marketing campaigns to drive better ROI.

BrightFunnel has also helped us improve internal communication by bringing confidence to the data. We have built trust around the BrightFunnel Reports as a consistent data source. As I'm early in my usage of Brightfunnel, I'm just not as familiar with the reports that are available or the marketing influence it's showing - it will just take some getting used to looking at new marketing programs with these types of attribution models.
