I have used many rendering software before and I have only started using D5 for 3 days. I see a lot of potential in this rendering software, there's a lot of asset ready that I can simply utilize and use. Scatter is especially helpful. I have only used it in a single project but there's a lot of things I see that is very helpful. Also, it has livesync with other software such as Revit, Sketchup and many more that are very helpful. I don't see any render settings I can tweak as much as other software. I think you need to render in high resolution in order to obtain a better render unlike other softwares where you can retain a specific resolution and still produce great render quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
D5 Render offers an intuitive and user-friendly experience right from the start. While searching for free rendering software compatible with Revit Architecture, I stumbled upon D5 Render through a YouTube tutorial. This discovery significantly enhanced my landscape designs, making them hyper-realistic and professional. When I encountered an issue with the upgraded version, the technical team promptly provided remote support, resolving the problem in just a few minutes. Their efficient service left me highly satisfied. Moreover, the software undergoes regular updates, introducing powerful features like the terrain function, which creates extraordinarily realistic scenery for my landscape projects. One limitation of the free version is the limited model and material library. However, it is quite satisfying to be able to use the free version to get started and learn how to utilize the software effectively. As I live in a Mediterranean climate, it would be incredibly helpful to have more local plants available in the assets library for landscape design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
D5 render is the quickest rendering software I have been used. Initially I am on Vray & Lumion, they both are great rendering tools but D5 render provides higher quality of rendering and the shortest rendering time. Furthermore, it is user friendly, can easily pick up the skills. Another upsides, it is free to use, and you will definitely purchase the pro version after you discover it's strength from free version. Lastly, D5 render technician are constantly improving the software, they are able to create object animation and mountain in a click Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The disadvantages, i would say it needs a relatively high PC specifications and wish to have more control on the HDRI adjustments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
D5 is one of the best programs I have ever used. It is now much easier to provide short previews to my customers thanks to its ease of use and speed. It has quickly adapted to my workflow thanks to its integration. It is easy to use and user-friendly thanks to its real-time elements. During the design phase, I used it constantly. I actively use it with Sketchup. I think its monthly fee is reasonable compared to other programs. Also, the fact that you can make a monthly membership and cancel it whenever you want will be an advantage for many people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Asset library and fast render times are helpful. I think the asset library needs more every day or daily use materials like tiles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate the user-friendly interface and the high-quality output that D5 Render provides. Additionally, I also like the vast library of assets and materials that the software offers, which allows me to create realistic and detailed scenes with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is the long rendering times, and occasional software glitches. In addition the limited number of assets it provides. It would be great if they include pathtracing capabilities for more realistic results indoors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with D5 Render. It's a powerful and user-friendly rendering solution that delivers exceptional results. I highly recommend D5 Render to anyone looking to create stunning visuals with ease and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While D5 Render offers a free version, it comes with certain limitations, such as a restricted number of assets, lower image resolution, and access to only some features. This may hinder the experience for free users who want to explore the full potential of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
D5 Render is a total game-changer for my architectural work! The real-time rendering is insanely fast, letting me see changes instantly. It's super user-friendly, so I picked it up quickly. The huge library of assets is a lifesaver when I need to populate scenes fast. Plus, it plays nice with my other 3D software, which is a huge plus. The render quality is top-notch too – I've impressed quite a few clients with the results! Also the software is really easy to install, and have a catalog of the different versions, while also providing customer support via e-mail in a timely manner to help with problems or bugs found, I have used it already and loved it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While D5 is great overall, it's not perfect. Sometimes the materials can look a bit off, especially when I need super detailed textures. The asset library, while big, leans a bit too much towards Asian-style furniture for my taste. Finding specific items can be a pain sometimes. I've also had a few crashes with newer versions, which can be frustrating when I'm on a deadline. It'd be awesome if they added a snapping feature for precise object placement. But honestly, these are minor gripes compared to how much time and effort D5 saves me overall. I use it everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve been using D5 Render for several projects, and I am thoroughly impressed! The software delivers incredibly realistic results with stunning lighting and high-quality textures. The real-time rendering feature is a game-changer, making it so easy to visualize my changes instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While D5 Render produces incredible results in terms of realistic lighting and textures, I’ve encountered a few areas that could use improvement. The software can sometimes feel a bit heavy on system resources, especially when working with large or complex scenes. This can lead to slower performance and occasional lag, which is frustrating when trying to work efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
within the options that d5 render presents as opposed to other real-time programs, we have that it presents an outstanding image due to its high-performance rendering engine, the ease of use it presents unlike other programs that have a very complicated platform, d5 has a simplicity in the interface that can be used immediately, in addition to the extensive library of materials and components that it has is very complete and allows for better results, the integration of artificial intelligence allows us to obtain better results than we already obtained.
we also have the compatibility of sync in the programs used and the importation of files is very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like is that it needs a current graphics card, although those graphics cards are already necessary for anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use and attainability of real-life lighting and effects. I have tried learning other software to achieve photorealistic outputs however the time to grasp the skill is not enough for the learning curve. D5 on the other hand was just fairly smooth and just a few renders, I can already say I have understood how it works and how to adjust renders that is pure quality. The only thing I don't like is that I'm not yet a Pro user and I just look at the Pro materials library with undeniable desire haha however, D5 has tons of features that in fact you can use to customize materials to achieve the ones like in Pro. That's the best part. D5 is so underrated that I don't know anyone else as far as work is concerned knows about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
