Craft has quickly become my multiplatform, (Windows, MacOS, iOS, or in-browser) personal knowledge management (PKM) system.

I have been able to create many different types and styles of documents, with a mix of online and standalone content.

There are many available templates to be used, that can easily be customized.

There is significant support available, e.g. a blog, a growing community and help centre. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

Other than by using "Copy Link", II have found it difficult to move one item from from one document to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

Craft it is pretty. And I use it every day.

As someone whose job involves introducing note-taking software to university teachers who’d honestly rather run in the opposite direction than pick up something overly techy, let me tell you, Craft is a gem. I show it to a teacher or colleague, and I get the same reaction every time: they look at the screen with wide eyes and go, “Whoa, this looks so… simple? And pretty?” And then they’re off—formatting text, organizing ideas, and suddenly, they’re swooning over a note-taking app. Yep, actual swooning.

Half my job is finding tools for educators who aren’t exactly tech fans, and Craft? It makes that job easier—and dare I say it, kinda fun. Personally, I write loads of text—strategic documents, reports, content galore—and Craft is a joy to use. The final output looks downright elegant, it’s a breeze to navigate, and the cards are like a dream: efficient, tidy, and, yep, pretty!

So, here’s the thing: Craft nails it with two key elements: functional and beautiful simplicity. It’s like finding a unicorn that’s also a productivity tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

Now, let’s be real—Craft doesn’t have all the fancy stuff you might find in other software, like built-in databases, complex network connections, or advanced viewing options. But even without those features, the team behind Craft is constantly rolling out updates in beta. They’re listening to users and actively working to improve what’s missing.

So, even the things I find a little lacking are actually getting better, bit by bit. Craft’s team is hands-on with the community, which makes all the difference. It’s nice to know that, even if it’s not perfect, they’re making real progress on the things we want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

Craft is hands-down the quickest way to make and store notes, and finding them later is a breeze. The home grid is amazing—super visual and straightforward. I can instantly recognize my documents from the titles, images, or subtitles, and with sub-cards, navigating is as smooth as it gets. Even if a document is 100 pages long, it gets neatly condensed down to a few main headlines, which makes scanning for information super convenient. And if things get crowded, just hit the search bar, type in a keyword, and boom—there’s exactly what you need.

The sub-page setup is also a lifesaver. For example, I keep a document titled “Meetings,” and within it are all my meeting notes, organized by date. It’s like a built-in agenda, but simpler, all in one place without a mess of extra documents.

Then there are the templates. These are so good! We’re using them to structure entire courses, which are usually a nightmare to organize because they have so many parts: video scripts, lessons, enriched media, posts, transmedia connections—you name it. But with Craft, all this complexity fits into one clean document. It’s super easy for a professor to jump into one of these course templates and start collaborating, thanks to the toggles that make it easy to add or adjust details.

In short, Craft makes organizing complex projects feel quick, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

I use Craft every day both personally and with a team professionally. Creating documents has become such a fun and fulfilling experience with Craft's user-friendly interface, hassle-free sharing, and the granular control it offers through link-sharing permissions. Craft's striking visual design and thoughtful layout consistently exceed my expectations for document management and creation, especially considering its price point. I appreciate the seamless process of dragging and dropping files, images, and links, which significantly enhances the overall document experience.

I find it incredibly helpful to stay organized using the daily to-do tracking and journaling options, and the AI assistance is a valuable tool for jumpstarting my projects. What truly sets Craft apart, in my opinion, is its export options, which provide an unparalleled level of customization. I can tailor my exports with precision, deciding which items to include or exclude, choosing between light and dark modes, adjusting page sizing to fit my content, and selecting from various export formats, including markdown, PDFs, and image files.

The Craft development team is extremely consistent in the rollout of new features that work smoothly right out of the gate, and there is never a release that fails to get me excited about added functionality. In my experience, Craft Docs offers a new and improved level of document collaboration and export capabilities, with great customer support if you have questions or concerns. What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

I don't have many dislikes but I'll be candid about the few I do notice in my daily use.

Current challenges with Craft:

- Tables aren't super functional yet. They exist but scrolling, rich features within the cells in a table are very limited (like formulas, photos/files in cells, etc.)

- Image sizing could be improved upon. There are options for image sizing but ideally I'd want to see dynamic sizes so a user can choose the way an image fits in a page vs. a limited sm/med/lg option.

- Columns aren't available. There is no way to put an image inline next to text, have two (or more) columns of text, or custom placement of components other than on a new line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

It easily solves common remote-work problems like creating and editing in real-time with a team cohesively, organization of information and robust search capabilities, sharing challenges that have historically come up when sharing documents and spaces with client teams or partners, open sharing of internal documentation, template management, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

I think it is a user-friendly and versatile platform that allows for easy file sharing, document scanning, and designing. I can access it from various devices with its simple and smooth interface. I can create a password that protects my documents and it can easily connect my documents to complex projects I really like the features that give me assistance of A.I. I can easily manage my notes and I can create attractive presentations hassle-free. It also provides file storage. The features and functions available were really easy to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

I think it has very limited customization options as compared to other platforms. I don’t like templates it’s boring and dull. I cannot customize my URLs and it also lacks easy document transfers and a tag feature. I think Paid plans are much more expensive as compared to other platforms. Paid plans have fewer features compared to other platforms. Its notification system needs very big improvement I can’t create voice notes and manual notes. The integration of the platform was not easy to cope with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

For me, it is a great platform because my work is related to team assignments as I can give daily updates, information about daily tasks, assign work, and many other things on this platform. I was glad that I used this platform as I was able to Summarize lander content within the second with the help of Al present in it. It provides me with a collaborative working space so that my whole team can come together to take notes, create docs, manage their work, and many more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

Craft Docs has everything you need. With its user-friendly UI, it makes document scanning, designing and file sharing a breeze. This versatile platform allows me to share documents through generated links or with added password protection, ensuring the security of my data. Accessibility is never an issue as CraftDocs is available across various devices and major operating systems and its very easy to integrate. The best feature that I like is how flexible the platform is as we can have both simple notes and stunning pages which can be directly shared as a website. Its extensive array of features, from document linking to AI assistance and file storage, improved my overall presentation experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

Despite being fully loaded with features, CraftDocs still falls short in terms of customization options. The limited template library, comprising outdated and repetitive options, leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the absence of a very common feature like voice notes makes note-taking a cumbersome process. Not having the option for a custom URL and encountering constant difficulties when moving items between documents were some major inconveniences. Furthermore, Craft's paid plans offer fewer features compared to competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

Craft Docs is an essential platform for teams engaged in collaborative assignments. Its features include daily task updates, work assignment capabilities, and efficient AI-powered content summarization. I am fortunate that I used this platform as it made it very easy to summarise lander content with the help of AI present in it. It provides an inclusive workspace that helps teams to come together, collaborate on various tasks and efficiently manage their work. Overall this platform has proven to be an invaluable asset for me and my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

I used the Craft Docs software and I found it to be extremely helpful, as the interface is smooth & simple, and I easily shared my files that too with password protection. Craft Docs can easily be accessed by anyone as it is present across all major software such as IOS, Android, Mac & Windows. The tools such as document scanning, AI integration, designing features etc. are all handy to use and make the software more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

When I compared Craft Docs to other platforms, I found that the template options are limited & the ones present are old & repeated. The features other platforms have such as custom URLs, tagging features, and the feature of voice typing were all missing & one would expect these features to present. The notification system also needs some work as a lot of times I was not getting notifications about the activities of my team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my use, I found that Craft Docs provides a collaborative working space so that my whole team could come together to take notes, create docs, manage their work, etc. It is a great platform if your work is related to team assignments as it can give a daily update, information about daily tasks, assign work, etc. I was glad that I used this platform as I was able to summarize lengthier content within seconds due to the AI integration. What do you like best about Craft Docs?

The best features about it are:

1. I constantly need to share files with my clients in a frequent manner, and in doing that Craft Docs has helped me with its easy and simple interface. It lets me create a specified link for that account and share it.

2. There are times when I am unable to go through the content of the documents manually and the scan feature of Craft Docs helps me to scan it as well as save it.

3. Simple documents seems unattractive to our clients hence the designing features and customization flexibility provided by it helps me a lot to gain the clients attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

The least helpful features about it are:

1. The templates provided were too repetitive, I was facing the similar templates multiple times which made it really annoying to face.

2. One of the key feature I was unable to find in Craft Docs is the feature of having a custom URL for the documents to be shared as well as the drag and drop feature was not glitchy.

3. Craft Docs lacks important aspects like tag feature and voice notes feature. Adding a voice note feature would really help in sending messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

Craft Docs is a great platform for my team members who are assigned with the updation check of their peers. I was able to keep a daily update and have information about every task, assign important tasks to my team and many other collaborative as well as writing related tasks. Its AI tool somehow helped for certain creation of ideas and outlining as well. Its collaborative space is a great platform to work in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Craft Docs?

Outside of the native support for the Apple ecosystem for me, the deep customization for your personal productivity method is the biggest draw to Craft for me. No matter how I need to organize my notes or project, there is functionality to accommodate it. To go a step further, the templates make it easy to save some time when creating a new note or project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

I would say that the only downside from my perspective is that Craft isn't quite as powerful as some other tools out there in the "build you own canvas" software world. I'd like to see better project management fucntionality as well as integrations with other popular applications that some of the other similar tools are doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the biggest problems I ran into before Craft was the ability to deeply integrate my thoughts, notes and projects. Craft offers the blank slate needed to build what I need to solve that problem. No matter if it is a simple daily stand-up, or a full project roadmap, Craft can handle it. What do you like best about Craft Docs?

Damn, where do I begin? Craft has become my centralized and beloved home base for everything. I love that Craft is always accessible to me, whether it's on my iPhone, iPad, or MacBook. I am able to easily jot down ideas or quickly scan a piece of paper on the go. Its synchronization is reliable and all the functionalities that Craft offers are perfectly implemented across all devices.

Craft strikes a perfect balance between providing enough options for designing beautiful documents without overwhelming users with too many decisions. I appreciate the flexibility of having both simple notes and stunning pages that can be directly shared as websites, even with multiple subpages. This is especially useful for sharing my stuff with visitors and customers. The app caters to a wide range of use cases, including for private usage such as diary entries, recipes, roleplaying notes, and tax declarations - you name it. Craft aswell constantly introduces new ideas for work and collaboration in teams (implemented ai, connected documents in complex projects, comments, file storage, and so on.)

The extensive range of possibilities connected with this beautifully designed and smart app is the main reason why I use Craft for so many things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Craft Docs?

I have been following the development of this app since its beta and have noticed it constantly evolving. Sometimes, the Craft team focuses on improvements that I don't really need or wouldn't have preferred. So, I am looking forward to some developments that I have been longing for, such as tags, the ability to share documents for editing, and an improved search function. Additionally, I would love to be able to customize the app more to suit my own needs and have more options for default settings in certain document behaviors. Currently, the customization options are limited.

Moreover, there are some features, such as the AI assistant and task organization, that could benefit from further improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Craft Docs solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a teacher, me and my colleagues have to keep an overview of several projects, protocols, to-dos, lessons, and more. Craft has helped me and us become way more organized. Being able to write together in a doc, share it and find every important thing I need right on my phone within seconds is incredibly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
