For me the best things about Cove is how easy it is to install, manage and browse backups.

Cove data protection is a lifesaver in terms on acting as a centralised platform to manage backups for all clients, being able to easily add servers and 365 tenants onto the platform really speeds up implementation of DRBS for our clients and the use of remote commands makes sure that this can be done in bulk.

Easy to impliment across a wide range of customers, the support from the team is great if you are struggling and the system is very easy to use, entry level users could back up and restore mailboxes and the whole 365 estate, the csp intergreation is seamless and it backs up our estate daily, as an MSP there is no better 365 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Setup is simple, backups are immutable, and I feel confident in our ability to recover in a disaster situation. We also like that we can make local copies of our backups to a secondary location which provides us the opportunity to restore files quickly in a non-emergency situation. The timing of backup reports by email is an issue for us, particularly for customers who receive the reports direct. Sometimes the reports are sent before the backup window closes, so at 6am some of our backups are just about completing, so it generates a call to us to confirm whether the backup is working. There has been a glitch with the backup recovery reports which causes them to "fail" if the test machine is processing updates during the recovery test. This is an example of little issues that they are typically slow to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its a fully integrated cloud backup solution, we had previously sold Datto and Veeam both of which were more expensive when adding in the cost of cloud storage. Depending on the restore senario and speed of connection, we found it preferable to have onsite storage as well as in the cloud, for sites with high speed connections, its less of an issue but for those on standard broadband, it can take a while to download a complete image. I wish you could have a longer retention for the M365 backups (currently only seven years). I'm not sure if this is a Microsoft restriction or a cove one, but if it is the latter, this makes no sense, as normal workloads have no end date for data retention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
