"Control M Makes Debugging Easier with Predictable, Proactive Error Handling"
What do you like best about Control-M?

The debugging part , where we usually get in this mess where we cant figure out the flaws or the errors take place , but control m helps anticipating the issues with predectiable operations along the rate of error handeling increases we can have a early hand on the things before they do get noticed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

There’s very little here for a frontend developer or a full-stack guy. Also, there might be agent issues they just pop up at times. It would be a little better if there were a roadmap for beginners on what to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Automation with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about Control-M?

I use Control-M to orchestrate batch jobs, mostly for files. It automates processes that would otherwise be manual, freeing up developer time and costs. I like its JaC approach since writing my jobs programmatically is much more advantageous compared to normal GUI-based tools. I also appreciate its vast network of integrations, which allows me to connect to many sources. Additionally, I connect Control-M with ServiceNow, Jira, and GitHub Actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

The user interface is the biggest. It’s outdated, frankly. Also, the learning curve is a bit steep for new people. Not easy at all. Setting up took a while, and many attempts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Dashboard and Visual Dependency Mapping That Simplify Workflow Orchestration"
What do you like best about Control-M?

Orchestration focus: "I love the centralized dashboard that gives me a single view of all workflows across on-prem and cloud. It simplifies complex job dependencies so I don't have to check multiple systems manually".

Visibility focus: "The visual dependency mapping is excellent. It helps me understand exactly how different systems depend on each other and see where a delay might impact later steps in the process". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

The initial learning curve is quite steep for new team members, and the licensing cost is on the higher end of the market. Also, the legacy desktop interface can feel a bit cluttered compared to modern web-based tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I also appreciate its centralized monitoring and clear visibility, which improve my ability to keep track of processes. Additionally, the reliable failure alerts are great because issues are detected immediately, reducing downtime and improving overall operational efficiency. The strong automation, reliability, and enterprise workflow management capabilities make it a solid choice for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

The user interface feels outdated, the setup is complex, and performance slows with large workloads. Also, the licensing costs are comparatively high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"instrument for overseeing daily operations"
What do you like best about Control-M?

Managing tasks across various systems without switching between tools is made simple with Control-M. The timeline view makes it easier to keep track of what's pending, what's running, and potential delays. Additionally, it provides unambiguous alerts, making it simple to respond before a problem impacts workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

When establishing new workflows, some configuration steps seem a little onerous. In some places, the interface might use some updating. Because the platform is so feature-rich, it also takes time for new users to comprehend all of the options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Automation with Control-M, Needs UI Enhancements"
What do you like best about Control-M?

I really like the Control-M API because it minimizes manual intervention for activities in Control-M. The Control-M BIM, SAAS portal, and Reporting feature are very helpful in my daily activities. The Simplified Control-M App view for jobs, SLA, and automation is also something I appreciate. It was easy to search for any job, get notified about job failure and delay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Control-M?

The execution of jobs based on loops needs improvement, and there's a need to check both the application and Control-M UI for root cause analysis. Managing cloud-related jobs alongside on-prem jobs is a bit cumbersome. The UI could be more user-friendly by providing more convenient options, like searching for agentless hosts connected via an agent and finding specific agents linked to agentless hosts. Additionally, the centralized connection profile lacks sufficient information in the initial view, requiring further exploration to find details about the host where MFT/DB is installed.
