## Configure One Cloud Reviews
  ### 1. Very good software, very powerful and supported well by Configure One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Very flexible software, allows for most processes to be modeled in the system.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Development times for enhancements have gotten longer recently. I understand that Configure One is addressing the problem.

Graphically not very good. Customization is possible, but native adjustments are difficult or not possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Work closely with your project manager. Any time customizations are needed make sure to thoroughly document them.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

rules based quoting and ordering of semi-custom products

  ### 2. Software that makes jobs and work flow simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The best feature of Configure one is the flexibility to make it specific to your company and to narrow down input choices for simplicity and speed.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Not a dislike but a reality. With any change or implementation your team needs to set daily weekly goals to succeed. Allow daily schedule time for your team to get the implementation up and running ASAP.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With configure one software we have moved 90 percent of the jobs in to a standard configurable product.
This has allowed us to be way more lean and consistent for the customer, sales staff, & shop floor.

  ### 3. Industry leader in product capability and customer service!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The Configure One project team I've partnered with has been a pleasure to work with, and their knowledge of their own product is impressively thorough. This software offers minimal resistance to getting entry level functionality out of it, and has the structure to support more complex applications as its usage grows.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Some portions of the admin interface are difficult to navigate (between screens/nomenclature), It took time learning the location of certain functions and settings, but it has become second nature after using the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

I would recommend evaluating the resources you have as a company to devote to a project like developing a configuration solution (specifically if you work in a smaller organization). Configure One does an excellent job explaining their typical implementation process, after you have purchased the software. Fully explain your situation and available personnel, and then lean on their expertise when it comes time to establish realistic timelines.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Discrepancies between quotes and BOM prior to ordering components
- Inconsistent documentation/workflows due to a lack of standardization
- Call to Quote efficiency
- Errors in product configuration from a functional standpoint

  ### 4. A Mature CPQ Product with Room to Grow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo S. | CPQ (Configure Price Quote) Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The thing I like about Configure One is how mature of a product it already is. It has many years of development behind it and works wonders with basic functionality. It's a sturdy application and has multiple strands that allow for good integration with multiple applications (CRM, ERP, CAD, etc.). Also, once you are over the learning curb, it's a great tool to become self-sufficient with and unless you are looking to carry out extremely complex customisation, you can survive without having to refer to Configure One for assistance. Finally, it allows for a high level degree of complexity in configurations - and that is for products across multiple markets and not just for a particular kind.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Given its great maturity, it's admin UI could do with a re-think. The end-user UI has been worked on and is much better than what it used to be, but can still be improved on. UX improvement should also be taken into consideration (for both back-end and front-end), as at times some process are convoluted or some menus are not very intuitive. Another downside, which I don't think is exclusive to Configure One, is the need to re-code all customisation every time an update is available. Finally, its document / output engine, whilst by no means the worst out there, can be onerous at times, as it relies on HTML editing. And not being able to product a .rtf output is also a limitation.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I've mentioned in my other CPQ reviews, the biggest problem that all CPQs allow to solve is the standardisation of product management, product offering, quotation production (output documents and approval workflows, etc.), whilst doing away with the multiple Excel quotation and design sheets that are out there. Configure One facilitates this process. The greatest difficulty is related to the change-management process and user adoption at end user level.

  ### 5. Flexible tool set but long runway

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

C1 has allowed us to implement our industry's first configurator.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The complexity of what needed to be accomplished took us years to appreciate and implement.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to build a BOM from what our customers had ordered. It allowed us to do that regardless of the uniqueness of the configuration. The accuracy sent to our shop floor has increased significantly.

  ### 6. I recommend Configure One!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theresa S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Excellent customer support from sales process to development. I tried 3 other CPQ tools and they were either too complicated or just weren't able to do what we needed.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

I haven't yet found anything I really dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Ask for a Demo. They do a great job of showing you what Configure One can do.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main reason was to ensure systems were quoted accurately from configuration to pricing.

  ### 7. Sales Solution for a Complex Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan M. | Engineer, Automotive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Internal data management, the system does a great job of maintaining internal data and references which is a very beneficial help during implementation and updates.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The user interface can be more of a hindrance than a benefit. The point and click rules generation lends itself to an extensive menu system that can tend to be cumbersome.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Configure One is a great front end sales tool but has other capabilities as well. Please consult the Configure One team for for information on integrating with your other systems.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One is filling the shoes of a front end sales configurator for a firetruck. This is a major task as there are hundreds of options which need to be dynamic. We have successfully set up Configure One to capture these dynamic options.

  ### 8. Incredibly Flexible and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The software is versatile and flexible enough to exceed all our business requirements. Additionally, it interfaces nearly seamlessly with NETSUITE and provides ample reporting. The company sales and implementation teams were terrific to work with and listened carefully to our needs.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

As with any software, in my experience, it takes longer to install and connect to NETSUITE than I thought it would, but perhaps my expectations were too ambitious.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software provides our customers and prospects real-time ability to create or find a customized solution to their unique architectural challenge, and communicate that solution to us quickly and effectively. We can follow-up faster and more comprehensively to their inquiries and requirements.

  ### 9. Well Designed, Flexible CPQ Solution with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob R. | Engineering Services Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

We have worked with the team at Configure One for almost seven years and have been very satisfied with Concept and the level of support they have provided. Great people make a great company and everyone at Configure One is highly knowledgeable and easy to work with. We requested some customization to integrate with some of our other existing systems and the result was a seamless configuration and quote process. You don't have to be a programmer to use Concept and everything is very well thought out and logically organized. User feedback and suggestions have a direct impact on the functionality of the product which is constantly improving.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

It can be easy to become overwhelmed with the administrator menu screens that all look the same. Expanding the Where Used functionality would be helpful. Some limits on the amount of data that can be uploaded to individual lists and a character limit on smart part number length. No way to save or import driven input data.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Don't underestimate the implementation timeline. We spent several years implementing(all on our side not due to Configure One). Get your business, engineering and product line rules in order. Create a team with representatives from several affected departments to help guide the process.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated from an in-house configurator to Concept and it is better in every way. We now can focus on the things that matter(rules, data and outputs) without having to spend time fixing software issues due to software updates that were out of our control. Our quoting accuracy has definitely improved and we are able to adapt to product changes much quicker. We now have multiple employees who can make updates rather than a dedicated programmer. Our engineering and business rules are now automatic and don't rely on the memory of any specific employee.

  ### 10. Flogistix uses Configure One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendall H. | Applications Engineer, Oil & Energy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One has been easy to implement, and the team has been great to work with. They helped me to develop a good process within the Configure One environment to handle configuration and quoting of the majority of our compression equipment. Though we are not in full implementation yet, we hope to be soon!

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

This is more of our own challenges, rather than a dislike of Configure One: Replacing our own internal systems and getting to a full rollout has been difficult for me. Configure One offers NetSuite integrations that we plan on utilizing, but have not made swift progress in modifying our internal processes and making modifications to NetSuite to make it all fit together. Further, our vision for this system relied on integration with home-grown systems that were not fully developed yet either.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an applications engineer, I am tasked with handling all quoting within our company for 90% of our product line. Configure One allows me to build my configuration and quoting methodology into a concise, easy-to-navigate process for our sales team to confidently quote our equipment. We have users that are actively using Configure One to confidently quote at least 90% of their work. We have a ton of creative plans and future integrations in the works that rely on Configure One as the starting point for data capture.

  ### 11. Develop Product Configurator for Manufacturing Company

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William W. | Standard Product Manager, Machinery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configure One's product allows us to develop and maintain a robust, web based product configurator in house with a minimum of programming knowledge. No need to communicate your product rules and desired changes to an outside developer.

Everyone I have worked with at Configure One is highly skilled and motivated.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

User documentation of the software is minimal. Configure One relies mostly on their staff of technical consultants to teach, advise and mentor their customers. I would like to see more complete documentation of the software, and perhaps examples of techniques included in the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

A small, multi-departmental configurator team supported by management is ideal to ensure buy in of all affected departments.
Develop and stick to your project timeline.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted a web based configurator for the custom products we sell to OEMs to drive product rationalization, reduce lead times, reduce costs, and engage customers. Configure One's product allows us the agility to modify our configurator quickly in response to our market.

  ### 12. Configure One Configurator has greatly improved our Engineering Processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The ease of learning the software is fantastic. Applying this to a catalog of over 4.5 million standard combinations was able to be logically followed and broken down into manageable chunks. Once we got started, the development took 6 months which was far faster than what we had hoped for.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The use of Driven Inputs is fantastic. However, there is no tool to allow importing and exporting data in to the driven input tools. There are other options than using driven inputs, however, for our maximum benefit we are using Driven Inputs. We created our own in house tool to import and export information from the driven input tables. It would be great for Configure One to build this type of tool into the standard offering.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allowed us to expand the value and responsibilities of long standing employees by eliminating the routine data entry for standard products. The configurator has completely automated our standard part setup process: creates items, bill of materials and routings in our SAP ERP system. There is no human involvement after we initially setup the new products. This allows us to repurpose our talent on the custom design engineering processes without having to add more personnel. It's a win-win-win: More value and responsibility to the employee - increase efficiency and competency for the organization - improved service to our customers.

  ### 13. Excellent Mature Product, Even Better Team of People

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian R. | Sr. Director, PLM, CPQ, and IoT, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

first of all the product has to work. And it does. It, in my opinion, is the best product on the market for manufacturing use cases. I hate to use this phrase "the more complex the better" - But it could be true. Obviously there are limits and use cases that it doesn't do.

The best part however is the team of people behind it. They're absolute experts in this area and have been doing it forever. When you speak to someone on the team they not only know the technology but they also know your actual implementation. The level of service is unlike any vendor I've seen.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The application is configured without coding. This can make it a little difficult to learn the ins and outs of the administration screens but after you have the hang of it, it's actually not difficult at all. The fall back of course to this is excellent training and on boarding as well as the fabulous customer support. All being said, if you have a complex product to configure, you would always expect it to have a little learning curve.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Partner with the company and make sure to do all the recommended training, on boarding and support. it will ensure success.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've worked with C1and the team on a number of projects. Seeing some of the best ones out there. Full configure price and quote with ERP and CRM integration. Removal of engineering hours to manual design configurations and "test" their validity (rules) freeing up much needed resources. Additionally driving direct to production from sales order when appropriate.

  ### 14. Excellence driven in product, process and customer satisfaction

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Semiconductors | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Simple interface and rules driven product. Enables administrators without coding and development background to establish products, but allow for more robust development as well.

Simplifies the quote to order process

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Support and development SLA's could be enhanced, but overall not bad. I would like to see increased communication and customer driven enhancements as a collaboration between multiple customers and Configure One.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Very important to understand what kind of implementation, customization, product and rules are required.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A transition from a legacy configurator platform. We're realized more flexibility, better user experience, improved process flow and easy ROI. This platform has allow our product deployment to be a simple transition and enables growth.

  ### 15. Great tools and a great experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew L. | Engineering Services Manager, Textiles, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The ability to easily develop tools and processes.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Use on mobile devices could be improved.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One allowed us to create an amazing set of tools for our unique products and solutions for erosion control applications with EC Design.

  ### 16. Incredibly powerful and versatile software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The application is easy to work with and able to meet pretty much any challenging scenario thrown it's way. Service and support are top notch with staff always willing to lend a hand where necessary. Definitely the industry leaders with regard to CPQ software.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

The application has worked great for me, there is not much to say here other than it can be a little intimidating with the high level of configureability but as mentioned above the staff is always willing to help.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

This is industry leading software with extremely helpful support staff.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saved us from building an in-house solution to fit our needs. The intuitive interface has allowed enabled our internal team to customize a solution to fit our needs with ease.

  ### 17. The Concept software has helped drive consistency in quoting.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve R. | President, Environmental Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

I appreciate how Concept has provided a consistent process for quoting. In addition the software has allowed us to "bake in" our tribal knowledge which will decrease the ramp up time for new colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

An internal issue (as with any organization) is adoption. Some don't like change, but those who have adopted are seeing the benefits.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Plan on more time than you originally expect. Ensure you have executive buy in. I am the President of my company and still face headwinds for implementing. I can only imagine what someone would experience without strong executive support.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistency in quoting and knowledge capture.

**Official Response from Preston Stewart:**

> Thank you for the review Steve. Your comment on gaining executive buy in is spot on and something that has been key for many of our customers.

  ### 18. Enseo Internal integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Configuration is easy to maintain and update. Document generation and integration with NetSuite is a huge benefit to our business. We're planning expansion across all our products and further integration and document generation to impact other areas of our business.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

Only issue we have is undocumented calls and processes that we've been able to take advantage of only through calls to support. Updating the documentation and better example code would be a huge benefit to new customers.

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

This tool is great for both novice code (html and java) people to learn and turn out a quality configuration/quote/document tool for just about any company.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generation of quotes and sales orders that are consistent and repeatable every time. Prior to configure one we were using Excel only which getting off of multiple versions of excel quote tools is a WIN!

  ### 19. Great People and Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

The people are very accessible and willing to help.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

For quite a while after intial launch we did not have the ability to generate a .rtf document. Only recently has this functionality been available for us currently in the beta stage.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Configure One has made it possible to keep the majority of maintenance in house for us instead of needing to go back to the vendor for every little change.

  ### 20. CPQ software review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert B. | Configuration Analyst, Machinery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

Software is easy to use and very configurable

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

No issues with configure one software. Works as expected

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Buy

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allow easy access to quoting and ordering

**Official Response from Preston Stewart:**

> Thank you very much for your review Robert. We're looking forward to continuing working with you and your team!

  ### 21. Quality Software with Great Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross G. | President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Configure One Cloud?**

How there are a few different ways to program the software depending on what needs are required.

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

So many different menus that occasionally we forget where to change certain parts of the program. Also that you can't search where Attributes are used.

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster and more consistent quoting that no longer needs to be done by hand.

**Official Response from Preston Stewart:**

> Great idea around searching for attributes, thank you for mentioning this and we'll be sure to consider it for future releases.

  ### 22. Configure 1 experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The people are extremely personable. The training is in depth and application driven

**What do you dislike about Configure One Cloud?**

There is nothing to dislike at this point

**Recommendations to others considering Configure One Cloud:**

Very customizable, take the time to learn the product, it is very powerful

**What problems is Configure One Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replacing an out dated configurator
