What do you like best about Common Room?

Common Room gives us insights into our community members' conversations and feedback across platforms, allowing us to better understand and meet their needs, as well as surface our product champions. Before Common Room, we were not easily able to determine who they were or where they were located. Common Room is flexible enough that we can manage both a user and a developer community from one tool, and the ability to categorize and browse conversations by category has been helpful for both communities. Setting up the Intercom integration has helped the community team see any technical issues members are dealing with seamlessly as part of our day-to-day process allowing us to respond faster and in a more personalized way. Support has been great and they are constantly adding and refining features so our capabilities keep growing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Common Room?

Automated categorization for non-technical conversations doesn't seem to be as accurate, but this may be because the language being used is less specific. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Common Room?

Common Room is the first platform I've seen that crawls interactions on LinkedIn (among other key communities) to provide actionable insights about organizations and individuals. Since LinkedIn has always been the hardest platform to integrate with 3rd party tools, this is game-changing for B2B marketers working in social and community. What do you dislike about Common Room?

Occasionally the information pulled from LinkedIn is incomplete or inaccurate. This is partially due to privacy settings from individual users, but sometimes simple information like current employer is out-of-date, so we always double check the accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Common Room?

Besides the second-to-one customer service that Common Room provides, its platform is user-friendly and the data analytics that it provides are exceptional. In particular, I love the Reporting tab of their platform. It allows me to look at my community data across each platform and then segment that data based on various filters. It has changed the game for us at Culture Amp because our goal is to continue building for efficiency and scale. Common Room's platform has allowed us to do that in a methodical and intentional way. What do you dislike about Common Room?

One area of growth for Common Room is to host more webinars about its product and its new features. The company is often pushing out new features. As a customer, at times, it can be overwhelming on knowing how to best adopt certain features, some of the best practices, or benchmarking against your peers. I'm hoping as the company grows it'll consider hosting webinars that allow us customers to optimize our experience using the platform so we can better grow and scale our own communities. What do you like best about Common Room?

One of the reasons why I am such a fan of Common Room is its ease of use. Common Room gives you a perfect snapshot of the data you need to make better-informed decisions for the community you work with. Plus, their team is amazing and really listens to their users for product feedback and ideas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Common Room?

The only thing I can really think of at the moment is their pricing. They do offer a free tier which is great and offers most of what a smaller community might need, but I can see where communities who need more might be priced out of what their current plans offer. What do you like best about Common Room?

What do you dislike about Common Room?

Common Room ships new features faster than I can implement them. Sometimes this makes me feel like I'm behind on giving my community the best experience possible, but by no means is this a knock on the folks over there. I also always have an incredible CSM who helps to get me up to speed, and make sure I'm doing what I need to stay on top of all the new value they continue to ship. What do you like best about Common Room?

When we first started using Common Room, we were set on building a healthy open-source community AND simultaneously proving that community was the right investment to make. Common Room has been the source of truth, capturing all the data helping us understand if our awareness campaigns are working, who they’re resonating with, and in simplifying the reporting process. In this past year, we’ve seen countless new features that has helped our small team. And the team at Common Room is always there to support us, whether it’s in the product or not. What do you dislike about Common Room?

I'm able to distill insights across geographies, communication channels, customer sentiment and engagement.
