It's really easy to use, it has loads of excellent features that I find really valuable for my specific use case, and even though it can seem a bit pricey at first to start with if you're doing a startup the cost is really great for what you get and it has monetization tools to let you make income with your community quickly. There's nothing I really dislike about Circle, however I did find some tasks a little repetitive with setting up my community like having to manually set certain settings for each individual space instead of just being able to copy them into all of the spaces I want to at once. I discovered Circle first as a participant in a community and now as one that runs a community myself. It's such an easy place to get started, and I love that I can jump into Circle community calls (aka "office hours"), ask about best practices, meet other community builders, and see what actually works. I'm all about focusing on what works, eliminating what doesn't. I login daily, see the engagement from our 600+ member community, am able to reply easily, answer any DM's from the members, share videos, instructions, documents etc. I haven't had to reach out to Customer Support, but I know if I needed something I'd just hop into the Circle Community and find the answers super quickly (which I prefer over reaching out to support as a general rule). Personally, I almost bought into Thinkific and Skool, but then found Circle very organically. So, I suppose the answer could be that Circle could market more? But I prefer an organic hidden gem myself, rather than an influencer-pushed product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to communicate and keep all the conversations. We migrated from Slack to Circle and like how much more functionality there is with Circle Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Repeating calendar events aren't easy to duplicate and the fact that they don't go for more than 52 events (basically one year for repeating events) and can't do custom days (like once every four days) are downfalls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Circle is amazing for hosting our community! We love that it is so intuitive and really easy to use. As a not super highly technical person, my role as community manager is made easier through Circle. We found it so easy to migrate over from our previous home and have found the support team to be so very helpful. The additional customer community is great for sharing and geeting feedback from peers, I love the sense of connection there. They are constantly making incredible updates that make managing a community even better. Through our 2 years on Circle we've experienced an increase in member satisfaction and simplifying of tasks so that we are better able to focus on growth. Always excited to see what improvements they roll out next! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would love to see expansion on video streaming to include audio only sharing (know this is so niche but want to mention it!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Circle helps me provide a clean and very intuitive experience for our community members through its native features and comprehensive interfacing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Circle's Business plan ain't cheap, lol, but for the value I get, it's a no-brainer. Plus, I like that they do have affordable pricing for beginners along with a two-week trial on all of their plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As for the features, I want to mention several points that distinguish the circle.
Global Connectivity: Circle gives me the opportunity to interact in new and innovative ways, in an environment free from the negativity often found on other platforms. I feel empowered to build communities that add real value.
Technical Support: The customer service at Circle is top-notch, with excellent and easily accessible technical support, even for those without technical expertise. I've been able to connect with people from all over the world, enhancing my professional and personal relationships.
Recommendation: I highly recommend Circle for professional communities seeking to engage with evergreen content, and I see it as a great deal for the features it offers at its price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Circle platform does have a few drawbacks to consider. The real-time chat can be slow and occasionally glitchy, which affects communication. Building a community can take longer than some might hope, even though Circle provides good support throughout the process. The subscription cost is relatively high compared to platforms like Patreon, Supercast, and Discord. Updates sometimes lead to the loss of features or require entire group spaces to be updated due to design changes, causing confusion and frustration. The platform can become expensive quickly if all features are needed, and it lacks specialization in instant messaging. Additionally, direct integration with other software is limited, often requiring the use of third-party platforms like Zapier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about Circle is how it fosters a private, organized space that supports diverse community offerings. It seamlessly allows you to create dedicated areas for resources, conversation, and member interaction. Hosting cohorts and shared learning experiences is intuitive, and the platform promotes deep, meaningful engagement with built-in features like rich media sharing, event scheduling, and customizable group structures. Circle makes it easy to build a vibrant, interactive community tailored to its members’ needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I find challenging about Circle is that members are often accustomed to more mainstream platforms like WhatsApp or Facebook, so it takes some effort to guide them to adopt and consistently use Circle. It requires some initial training to help them download the app, navigate the platform, and stay engaged. I find that I need to regularly remind and lead members back to Circle to maintain participation, which can be a bit of a hurdle in building community momentum. I'll post these in order of most useful:
1. Circle team is highly responsive to feedback and listens to their community
2. The Circle product community is a goldmine of information and tips
3. The interface is pretty and comprehensive on the higher tiers (it mimics social media and therefore encourages the same habits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They don't integrate with South African payment providers, and if you don't integrate with Stripe then you aren't able to properly use very important features (regardless of Circle subscrition):
- Paywalls
- Analytics
- Affiliates
- Paid events
This makes it far more expensive than other platforms because I have to pay for the Circle features I cannot use, but then pay additional for tools like Zapier etc. to make my community function as it needs to.
And I really don't like that their workflows aren't free. There are many elements of community automation which are base necessities and should not be charged for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Circle for over four years to host my community-based course, and what stands out most is the simplicity—both for me and my users. The platform is designed to be incredibly user-friendly, with an intuitive interface that doesn’t require a learning curve when people join. Everything I need—courses, live sessions, community, and support—is all within Circle, so users don't have to jump between multiple apps or logins. This simplicity has made managing and scaling my community a breeze. Plus, the Circle team is fantastic; they are constantly improving the platform by listening to feedback and introducing new features that make it even more powerful. I highly recommend Circle! One thing I miss on Circle is the ability to easily invite non-members to participate in events. Currently, when I share an event page and they click to RSVP, they're redirected to a sign-up page, which can cause confusion. They intended to RSVP for an event, but instead, they find themselves signing up for something they may not fully understand. I’d love to see a more streamlined process specifically for non-members, where they can register for the event without needing a full sign-up. It could be a light sign-up, where they only provide their name and email, with the option to complete their registration later. Alternatively, allowing them to RSVP without creating an account or having a dedicated page explaining the process would make things clearer and smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Talloo has been using the Circle community platform to manage our large and dynamic community, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional! Circle has transformed the way we engage with our members and deliver valuable content for professional growth.
One of the standout features is the easy-to-use interface, which makes navigating between community discussions, private groups, and exclusive content a breeze. Our members love the intuitive design, which encourages active participation and fosters deeper connections among professionals.
The flexibility of the platform allows us to create custom spaces for different member groups, enabling tailored experiences and focused discussions. The ability to monetize with memberships and courses directly within the platform has added a powerful revenue stream, seamlessly integrating with our business model.
The event management tools are top-notch, enabling us to host webinars, networking events, and live Q&A sessions effortlessly. We also love the robust notification system, which keeps members engaged and informed about the latest updates and conversations.
Circle's integrations with Zapier, Slack, and Stripe make it easy for us to automate processes and manage payments. Additionally, the content publishing tools allow us to share professional growth resources, articles, and insights with ease.
Overall, Circle has taken our community engagement to new heights, and we couldn't be happier with the platform! Highly recommend it for any organization looking to build a thriving online community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. We would love the ability to place links within spaces.
2. We would love the ability to turn off Title on posts and the ability to publish our content easily beyond the platform into social networks for network expansion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
