What do you like best about Check Point Application Control?

Its provide a granular level of visibility along with control to an administrator for allowing access based on application and what features need to be allowed within the application

Application control is default module available with NGFW, and with integration with identity awareness module of checkpoint policy can be created based on user id or group

The application control module is getting updated frequently bases on integration on Appwiki

SSL inspection can be bypassed for certain traffic or application based on organization requirements or user privacy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Application Control?

TApplication control does not work independently its the required URL filtering module to be enabled along with application control. Checkpoint Security gateway certificate needs to be added on each user machine

It works only when the User is in Office or traffic flow via NGFW Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Check Point Application Control solving and how is that benefiting you?

As it comes by default with NGFW license, we are using this as an additional level of security

We are performing POC with few User to check how this works as additional security as we already have proxy solution deployed for both on-prem and roaming user Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
