All web based, so no installation needed. Its easy to share projects with other too to collaborate. Has several set templates as well (or you can create your own) to really maximize visual impact and consistency as applicable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being web based, its speed depends heavily on the strength of your network. Also, the file management (for images) leaves a little to be desired) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy it is to design any document with a very professional look.
I'm not a professional publisher, but sometimes need to produce flyer, brochure and other communication tools for our non profit... Lucidpress allows me to do that and makes everybody happy of our communication material!
I've used it for quite some time now, and from the very beginning, even as a "free account" user, I was in touch with a team member of lucidpress, had a long phone call, to talk about features I thought could be interesting. It's just really nice to feel that your insight and experience is valued. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free account I've been using has seen it's size reduced... it makes it still a very nice tool to use, just have to keep an eye on the remaining space available.
I use it on both my personal (kind of outdated, 5 year old very low performance) laptop, and also a desktop computer at work. The interface is a little heavy for my laptop... and so, it takes time to get where I want, but it works really nicely on the more recent desktop computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With Lucid Press, you have full control of where things are positioned and how they interact with other elements on the page. It feels more like a publishing environment than just another attempt to make Microsoft Office like features in the web. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I open it on Chrome on my tablet, it insists on assuming that I am on a mobile sized screen, even though my tablet is a 12 inch tablet. They only let you view on the mobile version, you cannot edit. I have been able to go to the Chrome menu and force it to load the regular page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Lucidpress to make nice looking reports before. The user interface is all drag and drop but still looks really professional. Great for someone like me who doesn't have design skills but still wants to make something that looks nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lucidpress is cloud-based so if you are used to downloaded products this might be a little new for you. Also if you have an outdated browser, you will have to download something new. That might be a pain depending on your browser preference but I think that to experience the best the internet has to offer, it is a must. I recommend Chrome for the best experience. - Perfect for long-form content (e-books, reports, etc.)
- Really easy to use (drag and drop)
- Everything is fast and responsive, even though it's a web app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Occasional bugs (this product is pretty new compared to Photoshop or InDesign)
- Not as many image editing options as I would like, but the basics are there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that this software is essentially "in the cloud". I am able to use this software wherever and whenever I want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike some of the restrictions it has between the paid and free versions of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a new user, but so far I love Lucidpress! I signed up for it to create flyers for an event I've been planning for my church. Love all the templates and how easy it is to use. I plan on using it for much more in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I've noticed so far is that it can go slow if I don't have the best internet connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
