Chamaileon makes it so easy to build templates in a flexible and "bullet-proof" way. I no longer spend hours cross-browser (well, email-client) testing emails. Our team has been able to get up-to-speed so quickly and this tool has drastically sped up our email-creation process, allowed us to send WAY more emails (and more impactful ones), and finally have the capability to dip our toes into more advanced email practices (personalization, dynamic, etc,) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, I do not dislike anything about Chamaileon. I regularly provide feedback and they are constantly making the app better -- my current wish lists: be able to create "Plain Text" looking emails more easily, have saved blocks be truly "reusable" (so we can build out our Design System fully on it) - I know they are working on something like this now though, and being able to customize things like text alignment differently on desktop vs. mobile (although there are ways around this that work just fine right now) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The way the system is set up, it fully integrates with several EMS' and is a fantastic solution to any email campaign. Their customer service is great as well, and pricing isn't bad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only drawback I found was you don't have access to the HTML because they use their own markup language. Besides that, being a Hungarian company, there is a bit of a time difference, but not too bad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are not many aspects of this platform that i did not love. but i must say it is annoying that we had to download a browser extension in order to export this file How user friendly it is. We recently launched an email newsletter and wanted to borrow styling cues from a few of our favorite "big" newsletters. Chamaileon was by FAR the platform that allowed us to do this the easiest and the best. We make great use of the reusable sections, and syncing/updating is super easy. For what Chamaileon is/does, it's terrific. I really can't complain. It's much better than the built-in editors on any of the major ESPs. I wouldn't mind if it created its own archives, but that's an indictment on Mailchimp for not having better archive options, not so much a complaint against Chamaileon. The email test feedback text box lumps all feedback into one continuous stream of text, making it VERY difficult for our email builders/editors to sort thorugh email changes/updates. Also, you can only send one test per email directly from the tool, which is really annoying as we tend to have multiple rounds of edits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The email builder is intuitive, and one of my favorite features is the ability to save "blocks" to reuse on different templates. You can organize everything into folders, and it has made it easy for us to create the templates we need. I absolutely love how user-friendly the platform is! It is so easy to create new content blocks and create beautiful designs. We export our designs straight to Mailchimp, and it is super easy to navigate. We used to pay developers to code our email templates and now we don't have to! The main thing we dislike about the platform is the fact we can't upload our brand fonts. It is a big reason we don't use Chamaileon for all our edms. If this was changed we would definitely think about purchasing an enterprise package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't think there are any downsides to the app itself. Sometimes it gets buggy when I search old images. That may be due to server or browser too. I would like to see more means to find the old images more quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to quickly design a professional, responsive email from scratch or using the system templates. During our learning process, we have reached out several times with questions and challenges to the Chamaileon team. Roland and his team have been absolutely amazing in their responsiveness and support. With an extensive background as a developer myself, I have never met a product team so eager to listen to their users and make changes when needed. Had to think long and hard about this as I am SO happy with the product. All of the issues we faced turned out to be from a lack of product knowledge on our part as new users. One minor thing that would be appreciated is the ability to master search all emails across all folders, not just the folder you are currently working in.
