There are a lot of ways to build efficiencies with CaseWare Working Papers especially utilizing CaseView documents' rollforward properties, linking, carryforwards, etc. I appreciate the ability to jump to workpapers that you know the reference for also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Set up of documents is very time-consuming, and there is a lot to learn with the software. There is always numerous ways to do things and you typically figure out the harder ways first and then learn the easier ways in time or from a heads up from someone else. It can get messy when two people are in one workpaper at once and making changes simultaneously to then have to go back and decide which copy to keep and then trace back to make any needed updates from the other version. Our firm has been using CaseWare Working Papers for years. The integration into CaseWare Cloud has allowed for better collaboration and remote work, especially through the Covid-19 pandemic with us all working from home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My only complaint so far is that when I have "tags" visible in the Working Papers document manager, scrolling is slightly less responsive than I would like. It also scrolls in a slightly clunky way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CasewareIDEA actually leverages the latest technology which is an advantage for business analytics and auditors in the financial industry. I love the fact that it seamlessly provides key insights in trends , patterns and allows financial audits to be tailored to the specified need of the audit. It allows transferring of data from other sources to CasewareIDEA making it easier to carry out an audit. It has the more than just the standard tests needed to conduct a Financial Audit and also implements a risk-based sample model. It works in conjunction with Adapt IT and allows us to facilitate the audit from the consolidation phase to advanced analyses phase for any financial audit or business analysis. It does require training to use it to the full capacity however that is actually within the norm for any advance business software. It would require training for the usage and there are so many functions that it would require continuous training but once that is facilitated there is no going back to your old audit software I suppose personally. I like how efficient Caseware is and how I don't have to worry about capacity and memory being limited. I am also able to access the cloud from any remote location. We use Caseware for our audit clients and to store/prepare audit workpapers. The software is also fairly inexpensive compared to other applications which is why our company switched this year. You can't really customize the working trial balance. The columns are already pre-set and the order is actually different from what I'm used to. It is also difficult to learn all the functions so more training guides would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
