I like the fact that it is free of charge to sign up to Capterra site. My first time to visit capterra.com, I was gathering info or expertise of other folks who have used Zoho Invoice. In the process, I was able to write a review for Slack to help other prospective customers who are looking to implement it. After two days, Capterra invited me to leave honest reviews for platforms that I use. You know what, I wrote a total of 4 insights and they rewarded me with $10 for each review. I like Capterra since I use it to make informed determinations while purchasing IT products. Finally, Capterra has great mobility and tablet support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not have anything to dislike about Capterra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Capterra does provide a pretty comprehensive list of companies - for example if you are looking for Account Based Marketing, you will see a pretty long list including some really new ones that you may not have heard about in the market. Really helps identifying the 2.0 solutions out there! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The stars system is good but a little misleading because it is obviously a function of the total number of reviews. If someone has 200 reviews, it will obviously bring the rating down to 3.5 or 4 stars but a company with 4 reviews can be 4.5 which is inaccurate. Wish they would do a rating weighted by the number of reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to evaluate different software by category pretty easily. From an advertiser's perspective, most of the leads are lower funnel, ready-to-buy audience. It's also pretty straightforward.

What I dislike most about Capterra is the way it requires robust internet connection in order to leave or read reviews on their site

Best thing about capterra is that is free and one can access reviews of certain software he wants to purchase. Also offers gifts when one leaves a review of a software he uses really good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much dislikes only that you must internet connection to access the reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What's to like? They offer gift cards in exchange for reviews and then do not honor them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Got an offer to send reviews. The first 3 reviews I sent had no issues and I got my Amazon Gift cards within 5 days. Then I got an email from them offering me 10 more gift cards ($100 total) for 10 more reviews. I figured great! and put time and effort into leaving well balanced reviews of all the products I used. I got the confirmation emails from them and I waited and waited.. After 2 weeks I emailed them and got back an email that said that they had reviewed my case, that I had violated their T&C and that my account was fraudulent! Of all the excuses for not paying to be had. If I had more time I would take them to court just to teach them a lesson. Although based on their reviews here a class-action lawsuit is just a matter of time.
UPDATE: Capterra just made a canned response to this review (it's the same as other responses so it's copy pasted). Capterrra is trying to FUD their bad reviews by implying that we as users are in breach of their terms and conditions, when in fact we are not. They just use this as an excuse for not paying. My review content 1) has not been previously published online and 2) has not been submitted with another email.
I know this. They know this. It's just an excuse for not paying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Capterra (now owned by Gartner) has potential to be a great resource if it is managed correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Capterra does little to no vetting of the vendors that they include in the listing categories. For example, the "web conferencing software" category has companies that provide software for virtual career fairs. This is of no use to the customers that want to use Capterra to find products that match what they are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like capterra because it informs about the basic and advanced features of a software or system and at the same time evaluate if it is worth buying or acquiring the trial version of said software. Capterra It also allows me to make revisions and thus contribute to the advancement of knowledge and be able to help many who do not know certain software. Capterra allows you to easily evaluate with stars from 0 to 5. Another feature that stands out in a collector is that you request a profile of work on LinkedIn so that you are sure that the person who has the review has the necessary knowledge to perform this review with professionalism and ethics. At capterra we find revision and very simple and simple assessments that do not help the client at all so that he is sure whether to buy the software or not. In many revisions, the proper and useful characteristics of each system or software do not stand out well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
