It’s the easiest B2B software site to use in my opinion. They have thousands of software categories and user reviews, and it’s very well-researched. I can find software by filtering by integrations, which is very nifty and not something I can do on other software comparison sites.

There’s nothing I dislike really. It would be cool if they added some AI features to make finding the right software even easier/faster.

What I like the best about SourceForge is that it is a  fantastic place to locate and download open-source software, communicate with other users, and keep up with program updates.

It shows ads, banners etc., and the things that I dislike about this are the difficulty of contacting developers, download speed limitation, security risks, and discarded or eliminated project shows.

There are multiple issues with software development and delivery are resolved by SourceForge, which facilitates developer participation, software distribution, and project management. We get great exposure for our software through SourceForge’s listings. Their model is simple and easy to understand and they get a ton of traffic. Support is quick to respond and helpful when we need it.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

It’s been smooth sailing for us so far. We haven’t had any notable issues. Whenever we have a question, our campaign manager is quick to respond.

We have a new-ish SaaS product that we are trying to get exposure and generate new customers for. SourceForge showcases our solution at the top of our relevant categories, and sends us unlimited clicks for one flat fee. We also get really good buyer intent data.

Best thing I like about sourceforge is the ease of use, you can literally download as many projects as you wish on a single click without registering an account. Moreover users can leave a review, their system monitors each project for malicious content or binaries so you can be sure that the project is safe to use or compile.

I really dislike the 3 second wait before a download begins, this disturbs flow when you are trying to download multiple source codes of different projects.

The incredible thing about SourceForge is the variety when choosing software; you can find Open Source or Business Software. Every time you want to search for software within SourceForge, you will have the possibility to select all the necessary filters to find suitable software; there are many filters in the software search; you can search for Education, Database, Terminals, Telephony and many other types of software, the software finder works perfectly. SourceForge also has several very interesting Blogs and Articles that will help you delve a little into software development and implementing Open Source systems. I loved the Reviews section within SourceForge, all the reviews are very well organized, and this helps you to read opinions about any business program or Open Source easily.

SourceForge has been bringing innovative results in the selection of new job software. I liked how detailed the reviews are within SourceForge; I used this service mainly to read explicit opinions that influenced the decision-making when implementing new software for my company; these opinions were essential when choosing some software; I loved being able to read opinions with positive and negative characteristics about each software.

That helped me understand which software was more favorable for me. I also liked the comparison system that SourceForge offered me, this system allows me to compare two software or buy a group a group of software from the same area, for example, I was able to compare marketing software as well as some finance software, this platform offered me advanced details on each comparison, automatically compares the prices of each software, and also compares the most relevant reviews of each software or the overall score of each program. I liked the fact that I was able to get detailed and relevant feedback within SourceForge, which got my attention a lot.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

The most significant negative point of SourceForge is the general design of this platform. It is a handy platform to find some software reviews or purchase new software in a few steps. However, the interface is quite old, and this causes some users to find it difficult to adapt to the public interface of SourceForge. Currently, I consider the interface used in this platform to be quite primary. However, this is not to say that it is not a very beneficial platform for obtaining new software, this platform is key to choosing new software for any company, but is quite necessary that SourceForge change its colors and renew the general design of the platform to favor the comfort of users.

SourceForge has been a key piece for our company to develop a better implementation of new programs for all kinds of sectors of the company. SourceForge is being used by most of our company's employees with the primary objective of having a much more precise use of the software we use. SourceForge has been a welcome benefit for our entire company, I'm happy with the results obtained with the help of this platform, I have been able to save a lot of money in the selection of new business software.

I have been able to implement several software in our finance company, specifically in the Marketing areas and the project area; I have been able to execute better software with better functions and implementations. It has been the ideal path to achieve the solutions we need; for our company, it is essential to create a work environment with 100% activity and to be able to find alternatives to establish a productive and efficient system thanks to Sourceforge, without a doubt it has been one of the best decisions. In terms of the advantages it offers, I can mention that it provides a wide variety of software for any company, whatever we need they have it, very well categorized, by work area according to what needs to be done, the qualifications they are pretty detailed and add precise details about the characteristics of the software, adding cost, usability in various aspects, be it documentation, support or required system. Another of the strong points is the reviews; I am impressed by the details that people offer and how we can evaluate any software according to the experience of professional people who can comment on the behavior of the software from the front page. All this described above has helped us to choose more precisely the software that we need to adapt to our work system; in this way, we take care that our workflow is not interrupted by errors because we already know the positive and negative characteristics forewarned. Sourceforge has fulfilled what it offers to the letter; it is a transparent platform with millions of benefits beyond providing software reviews; it is also an ideal platform for many companies to achieve a fluid and efficient work system, really aspects negatives I don't find many, the only thing I've run into is the anti-spam filter when I'm writing a review, I don't understand why it happens, it can become uncomfortable when I try to send a check, I wish it would stop happening so often.

The benefits have been quite extensive; it is precious to have a platform that provides loyalty in your space, offering reviews that guarantee the front page of the experience of thousands of people, with an open and well-categorized catalog where it is possible to browse endlessly and explore all the options, we always manage to find the platform that best suits our requirements in terms of cost, accessibility, features, usability and, without a doubt, the one that best suits. **What do you like best about SourceForge?**

SourceForge has provided a complete and attractive interface when entering the platform; all the sections are very well organized, allowing you to correctly review the various areas of the software to search for the appropriate software for you and your company. The main thing I like about SourceForge is the detailed reviews you find on the different software areas. 

I have accessed approximately ten different software sections, and I have found very detailed reviews on several software; in addition, each review has details of the person who wrote it, so you can know how the experience was using that software in that area of work. 

Another thing I loved is that SourceForge has a very positive moderation time; I have sent several reviews about various software, and on the same day they have been moderated, I haven't had to wait several days for the reviews to be negotiated.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

The only negative thing I noticed about SourceForge is that it currently doesn't have any filters to help you search for reviews, much more precisely. For example, it would be great to filter reviews by business sector, company size, type of users, and many more filters to help you find a review that suits your needs. In addition, a review search filter system must be implemented; this would allow us to read much more explicit opinions according to what we want.

**What problems is SourceForge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the functions that I managed to use on SourceForge behaved efficiently; the various functions of searching for reviews, comparing software, writing reviews and many more functions met all my needs and goals. I have been using SourceForge for a couple of months, and I really loved the general experience I got within this platform; I think it helped me a lot to read detailed opinions and be able to implement new software within my work area.

It allows me to make comparisons between several programs to be able to replace the existing programs in my company. Although this platform's primary benefit to my company is that SourceForge allowed us to renew our software list, it also helped us to express ourselves in a much more complete way about things that we like and dislike about various software.

**What do you like best about SourceForge?**

- I love that this platform has such valid and detailed opinions. I have noticed how this platform provides very valuable opinions, with detailed information about things that each user who has used a specific platform has liked. All the opinions that I have read so far have accurate information about the advantages and disadvantages of any software.

- Another thing I love about this platform is that it has a fairly complete forum where you can find precise information about any error or doubt regarding some software. This forum has many posts that will help you solve any doubt. Additionally, if you have a specific question, you can create a post and a trained person will respond to your request in a couple of minutes. This forum is quite complete and effective when it comes to resolving doubts about any software.

- I also love the ease with which reviews are written on this platform. I have written a couple of reviews on some software that we use in our work area, and I have had a significantly good experience. I have been very comfortable completing the corresponding reviews; it is a fairly simple process with several simple selection questions.

- The platform, in general, is quite fast. The handling of the website is very fluid, and you can search for reviews in a matter of seconds. The only thing they need to improve is the general design. I think the design is quite basic, and it would be excellent if they had a more attractive design for users.

I have never really found any fault with SourceForge; this platform has always met my needs and provided me with precise information to update our company's software list and compare various software. At no time have I encountered any failures. I have always been able to read and write reviews immediately, and the login process has been efficient at all times. The interaction with the SourceForge forum has also been positive. I love that this platform has not given me any type of failure, which enhances my overall experience.

SourceForge has brought valuable benefits to our entire company. This software has been used by several co-workers in our company and has been effective in developing new ideas for some software that we needed to complete our work daily. Thanks to this platform, we have been able to implement some quality software, thanks to the comparison system and the review system, in which we have been able to find valuable and real opinions that helped us in our decision-making. In our real estate sector, this platform has been very effective; it gave us complete opinions to choose the right software. I'm very satisfied with the general features provided by SourceForge. I have had an extremely good experience and I do not regret having started using it. **What do you like best about SourceForge?**

In our company, SourceForge has been a site where we have been able to find quality information to improve our decision making when we are going to implement new software or to be able to leave different opinions so that software improves its functions. We have very little time using SourceForge but the results we have obtained lately has been favorable, one of the things that I have liked the most about SourceForge are:

1. It is a website where you can find very good quality opinions, where a large number of opinions are complete and detailed about the various positive or negative characteristics of software, this has helped us to implement 2 new software in our company, read Accurate feedback has helped us generate new usage programs for us.
2. SourceForge has excellent review management and moderation. On several occasions, I have written a couple of reviews that we use in our company and the moderation time has been quite short, and even on weekends, my reviews have been approved. On some occasions, I have written some reviews on Weekends, and the same day they have been moderated, the moderation is quite fast and they do not take more than 24 hours to moderate the reviews.
3. Completing a review is a fairly easy process on SourceForge, just fill in the likes, disliked and benefits fields. The other questions are simple selection questions and take only a few seconds to complete, they are not long or cumbersome reviews to complete.
4. I love the way support handles their users, only once have I had to contact support and my support ticket has been answered in just 24 hours.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

I have had a fairly good experience in SourceForge and this has helped me to be able to select some quality solutions both for my work sector and for other sectors of our company, however, in my good experience there have also been some negative points that need to be highlighted, these negative points that I have noticed are:

1. On some occasions, when I finished writing a review and proceeded to submit it, the anti-spam filter reacted for no reason and my review was completely lost. The anti-spam filter does not work correctly, since sometimes I have finished writing a review, and when I hit the "send" button, an anti-spam block appears when I have not done any type of Spam. This system should be fixed to prevent more users like me from losing the review they have written, since when this banner pops up, what you have written is not saved.
2. The design is something that can be improved considerably, from my point of view I consider that SourceForge has a slightly old design, it would be excellent if they gave it a design with a more formal touch, a much more professional design that would help the user to feel comfortable on the web. It is a very complete website, with all the functions of developing and obtaining software, but the design could be improved.

**What problems is SourceForge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using SourceForge for a short time in my company but the results have been starting to show little by little since we started using it, we have been able to improve our list of software that we use in our company, we have replaced some software with some alternatives that are better and that offer more accessible features and at a better price. In addition, with this website we have been able to share our opinions about software so that some things are changed we have mentioned features and key points that need to be improved in software, and we have been listened to! Some of the software has taken into account our opinions.

I consider that it is a fairly complete website to help choose the appropriate software for any business sector, its general operations have been quite good, I have never presented any type of navigation failure in SourceForge.net. It is important to highlight the effectiveness and positive impact that his SourceForge system is having since it helps us choose the best options to optimize the software in our company.

**What do you like best about SourceForge?**

SourceForge has been one of the sites I head to grab some open source projects available with complete confidence. It is a website for IT Professionals, especially Software Developers, to upload their products, download the ones needed, and review products simultaneously.  All of the projects are Virus-free and made available directly by the Developers themselves, and even some commercial ones are available to be discovered through the site. We also have access to old versions with a File Versioning system. Apart from that, we can access many business software now and download them ready to use. The review system available on SourceForge also helps select the best Software Available. I have known this site for the past few years, and it has been beneficial during my journey. There is project management software and some solutions build by new developers, all available for free! Indeed a fantastic website!

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

I don't find anything so wrong that I would consider it a con, but the overall interface can be a little tricky for some users. Some features aren't user-friendly and can be a mess sometimes with emails. It could have been better with some UX tweaks here and there, plus some APIs and stuff available for reporting would be a plus for authors. Also, I would love to see Videos available for Software usage embedded into the Product listing!

It is an incredible powerhouse of a website for Software Developers and especially SaaS companies to engage with like-minded people on the internet. What I don't like is that the entire SourceForge website is a bit cluttered - lots of tabs here and there and it's not clear why a lot of them are necessary. A lot of the content could be fit in with the same amount of space and a better design.

Overpriced in the first place, but the service does not work.  Used for 6 months, spend $8,000, and DID NOT GET A SINGLE CLICK OR LEAD.  Tried to cancel after being automatically resubscribing and they would not let me cancel.  They did not send an email or notification about the renewal.  These guys are a scam.

**What do you like best about SourceForge?**

My favorite aspects of SourceForge would be the clean user interface and the easy to use filters that allow me to find the perfect software for what I need. I started my own business and needed a lot of different types of software like email marketing, sales software, project management software and invoicing software. There are so many different sources out there to tell me what is best but at the end of the day SourceForge has been my favorite.  Beyond my personal business I have also used it to help other companies I work with find the right kind of accounting software or CRM or even POS alternatives.

Something I really liked about SourceForge was their alternatives feature.  When I had a client that did not like their POS all I needed to do was go to a page on SourceForge and find the POS they used and then click on the alternatives to button.  This helped me narrow the search down in seconds. Another neat feature about SourceForge was that they also highlight open-source software that is free to use.  When I have a client who has a tight budget this free software can be a life saver, although its a little harder to use so they need to be more tech savvy.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

I have noticed that the search bar in the top right corner can be a little buggy when searching for the exact name for a software, so I hope they fix that soon.  Although I can always just tweak my search a little bit and end up finding what I'm looking for so it's not a big deal. Besides that I'm happy with SourceForge, they keep things simple and that makes it easier for me to evaluate the options.

**Recommendations to others considering SourceForge:**

I prefer SourceForge because of its easy user interface. I know there are alternatives out there that offer a lot more bells and whistles, which is great for some people, but I like a simple list of options and features and their easy to use tools to help me add the filters that apply to me and my needs.

I solve two problems with sourceforge, but they both have to do with finding the right software.  I have clients who run small businesses and I help them decide which types of POS systems to use, or which new CRM to select, or other business consultings.  I also work in sales and have used it to find alternatives to the tools we use when I would like to change systems.

SourceForge is far and away the best channel for us to generate new SaaS customers for our software product. So we use it to acquire new customers, and the price per acquisition is the lowest among all of our marketing channels. SourceForge also offers a great software comparison tool, so when our company needs new software we can find the right tools on SourceForge. If you're a SaaS or software business looking to acquire new customers, it's hard to beat SourceForge's pricing and quality/quantity of leads. We also use the open source section of SourceForge for hosting the open source community versions of our products, and they offer good version control and open source code development tools.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

Not a huge fan of the orange color scheme but other than that we really have no complaints. SourceForge has been a magic bullet for us to acquire new customers.

Make sure you completely fill out all fields of your software listing, as it will make your software much easier to find in their software comparison directory.

I love that Sourceforge is the hub for all sorts of software needs, especially Open Source Softwares. It has a huge community of developers and customers. There are many comparison charts and reviews from ordinary users to help you figure out the best Softwares for any need. The software projects and a wide variety of software recommendations are always helpful when you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to an expensive product.

**What do you dislike about SourceForge?**

There are sometimes multiple download links on the software pages, which can be confusing. The website UI isn't something I am very fond of either as I used to find it difficult to navigate and discover what I was looking for when I first visited it.
