What do you like best about BugHerd?

Bugherd is a browser plugin that lets you redline your website. Suggest edits, comments and user feedback and have information like the users Browser, URL visited, a screenshot and contact information of who reported the bug. INVALUABLE for development and marketing departments technical and non technical stakeholders as a time saver. Streamlines communication. Directors to copywriters at my place of business love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

Bugherd is an amazing tool. I wish that it had a better method to integrate into third party project management systems. Bugherd has an API - and you can achieve lots of customization and integration, but honestly it feels like bugherd should be an add on for every project management tool that could be used to run web development.

The Zapier Zaps are good enough for many scenarios, but don't always fit the bill with every other project management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

Multi stakeholder QA on multiple web products. It assists with our product launch and marketing initiatives as well making them "more perfect". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Hi Zac,

Thanks for your review of BugHerd. Think I might start adopting "more perfect" for my projects too. :)

Feel free to drop us a line with what additional project management tools you'd like to see BugHerd integrate with, as we've been building out our direct integrations.

Cheers,

Merrin

What do you like best about BugHerd?

Bugherd makes it easy to input a large volume of website edits, and as a project manager, it bridges the gap between client requests and development speak. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

There are several issues with screenshots not being taken when quickly adding mass edits, and often times the pin dropped goes to the wrong place when the task is submitted. Additionally, the extension sometimes breaks down, so you have to uninstall and reinstall the program, which is a pain. The tool is fantastic, but some maintenance and bug fixes must occur as we roll out Bugherd to our whole company. Also, please let bugherd integrate with Brave, not just chrome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

It makes it easy to point out specific areas our developers need to change or edit when we're creating websites for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Hey Cole,

Thanks for taking the time to write us a review, really appreciate it! Makes me really happy to hear we bridge the gap between client requests and developer speak.

Thanks for adding your request for BugHerd to work better on Brave and thank you too for your patience with the recent technical issues - definitely a priority for us to ensure BugHerd works as seamlessly as possible for everyone.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

Bugherd is an essential part of our development process, it streamlines ticketing by removing any questions our developers have by providing clear image drived feedback. It massively speeds up our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

The tool is great for identifying where the bugs are, but you still do need to clarify to your team what a good quality comment is when using it. For example, typing - "Fix this" isnt terribly helpful and comment. A Good description of the issue is still required for the most part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

It saves our team a huge amount of time by visually showing where every bug is specifically to the pixel on a page, rather than competitors like Jira who link to a full page, leaving you to figure out where the issue is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Hi Robert,

Really appreciate you taking the time to write us a review about how BugHerd streamlines your ticketing and speeds up the team.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

BugHerd has completely transformed our QA process! Its built-in automations are a lifesaver, capturing errors, screenshots, and the exact locations of issues effortlessly. This has significantly reduced the back-and-forth communication, allowing our team to focus on solving problems rather than hunting them down.

What sets BugHerd apart is its seamless integrations with platforms like Monday.com. Connecting systems is now a breeze, and it keeps everyone aligned and on top of tasks. Whether you're managing a small project or a large-scale application, BugHerd simplifies and streamlines the process like no other tool we've used.

If you're looking to enhance your QA efficiency, collaboration, and overall workflow, BugHerd is a must-have. Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

There are a few additional features I’d love to see, like the ability to keep a project open but prevent new items from being added. That said, the BugHerd team is always incredibly responsive when we share feature requests, which is reassuring and shows their commitment to improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

BugHerd is solving the challenge of team alignment and creating a single source of truth for our QA process. By automating the capture of errors, screenshots, and precise issue locations, it ensures that everyone on the team is on the same page with clear, actionable insights. Its seamless integrations with tools like Monday.com further enhance collaboration by connecting our systems, centralizing information, and keeping tasks organized. This has helped us maintain clarity, reduce miscommunication, and work more efficiently toward resolving issues as a cohesive team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Oh, thank you for sharing that BugHerd has completely transformed your QA process and is also seamlessly integrating with Monday.com.

We love hearing how we can make BugHerd even better, and the good news is that being able to stop additional feedback is definitely something we're planning to add.

Cheers,

Merrin

What do you like best about BugHerd?

BugHerd is a superlative application that helps our agency team collaborate in real time, incorporate client feedback (and inevitable requests to extend scope), and reduce time-to-delivery of high caliber work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

It would be somewhat useful to have a mobile interface, but not a priority. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaborating with clear visuals is excellent. e.g.: our US-based team has four native languages, and BugHerd reduces confusion in vernacular thanks to the visual capture feature. Task assignment and production roadmap gives a real-time POV to help PM's keep projects on track.

In short: we deliver great work, on or ahead of schedule and on budget due in no small part to BugHerd Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

The ability to log bugs directly on the site, to share designs and communications with clients or team members separately has been a game changer for our team. We use BugHerd for every single project - it's now a very important part of the process for us. It's intuitive, easy to use, and incredibly easy to set up. Customer support is always amazing (and quick to respond). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Detailed bug tasks listings and easy to use extension to facilitate the bug tracking for QA checkers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

Pinpointing edits has never been easier, and the automatic screenshot with annotation capability is very handy. Even better is the ability to screen record with verbal explanation. BugHerd has really made it easy to increase our efficiency on a day-to-day basis during the QA process, as well as the client feedback process.

It was easy to set up our BugHerd account, and when we have a problem with the software, their customer support is very friendly and helpful via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

The notification system needs an overhaul. Turning on/off notifications isn't fully customizable and there's no internal inbox, so my email inbox is constantly being spammed. I've taken to filtering all notifications from BugHerd directly into a folder and never looking at them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sending QA edits to our dev team was laborious and slow prior to using BugHerd. We were manually typing out the edits with locational information and instructions, and taking screenshots ourselves to annotate with tools like Paint and the Snipping Tool. BugHerd streamlined this process and reduced not only the amount of time it takes us to report bugs to the dev team, but also reduced the number of errors we were getting back from the dev team when asking for changes to be made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Thanks Nicole for taking the time to send us a review. Love hearing how much faster BugHerd has made your QA edits.

Re notifications - there are options to turn on and off notifications you don't want: https://support.bugherd.com/en/articles/33888-when-are-task-email-notifications-sent. If those are serving you well, please do let us know what would help via support@bugherd.com.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

We use BugHerd to QA as well as for client reviews. Clients love it because it only requires an extension and then it's seamless from there - just click and comment on what needs to be changed. On the agency side, this also encourages clients to be specific in their feedback, requiring them to think it through! As a project manager, it's so easy to drag and drop cards on the task board. Mass updating makes things go more quickly as well. Strong feature sets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

Product suggestion - would love to be able to a place per project where I could add QA instructions, links, assignments, etc. So anyone that's been instructed to go check out the work on BugHerd can find the what/how of their assignment. The search/filtering functionality can be a little clunky and takes a minute to figure out how to use. Email notifications seem to be lacking (unless I'm missing something); I want to know if anyone has commented anywhere on a project, and it seems like you must be assigned for that to happen. As oversight, I need to manually check BH frequently vs being alerted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

The specificity of the 'real-time' feedback along with the ability to assign, sort, tag, categorize, etc is invaluable; for me, it ensures nothing is missed. Clients can be very vague in their feedback and BugHerd forces them to think through their feedback before making general comments. My developer loves it for the sake of organization - it's great to clean that board! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Hi Iole,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a great review. So happy to hear clients and your developer love it!

Thanks for the product suggestions. Like the idea of a location for putting instructions for clients. Also, email notifications can be modified (see help article) - but you're right re comments - only for tasks you're assigned to, or unassigned tasks if you're a manager role. I'll pass that feedback on to the team.

There are the notifications in product, which might make things a little quicker: https://support.bugherd.com/en/articles/84984-notifications-for-new-comments-and-mentions-in-bugherd

What do you like best about BugHerd?

I like how everyone can collaborate in real time and provide feedback that is easy to interpret thanks to the tools such as pins and screenshots. Moreover, it's very easy to install and integrate to a website, and once it's done, with the help of the browser extension, you can activate it with 2 clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

It can be a bit buggy sometimes with images not being taken or if the sites have password protection, this can lead to bugherd not working fully Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?

Users are able to see feedback in real time and where each bug is which saves a lot of time for the team. Moreover we can always go back to it and keep a record of the work that's been done which is very helpful for project management. I would maybe just add a time tracking feature, that would be quite handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Merrin Hughes of BugHerd

Hello Alexa,

Thanks so much for taking time to write us a review, happy to hear it's helpful for project management.

Thanks for the suggestion of a time tracker, BugHerd does integrate with Harvest and time Doctor, if you're looking for a way to track the time spent managing client feedback and bugs.

What do you like best about BugHerd?

I love how much it speeds up our intern QA/QA processes and streamlines client feedback. The fact that it also captures browser info and provides screenshots makes it much easier for our developers to fix bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BugHerd?

The client view is a bit limited and using auto correct when adding task descriptors is a little clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BugHerd solving and how is that benefiting you?
