What do you like best about Brightidea?

Brightidea makes it easy for our teams to submit ideas, share ideas, and move ideas forward. We have used it on several diverse initiatives, and we have found that the software is super flexible and accommodates many different programs.

The customer service is excellent - we meet with Zita every month and go through our needs and updates. She is quick to respond and the organization is constantly working to understand what they can do better to serve our group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brightidea?

I wish we could include guests in the voting or review process. We have had many initiatives that use an outside jury, and the process to include them can be cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They have created a space for team members to submit ideas and have other team members provide feedback and potential collaborations. What do you like best about Brightidea?

The best thing about BrightIdea is the ease of integration with other tools that we are using. It is easy to use and implement it in our processes. The app provides us with a good interface for customer support. Even if the requests come in at a small rate, the longevity of the execution means that ideas remain in the pipeline for long periods of time and we end up using the app often, to provide updates to the requester. What do you like best about Brightidea?

Brightidea is very easy to use. The user interface is free of clutter, predictive and visually appealing.

The tool offers a number fo great features that other software we were trying to retrofit cannot compete with. Yoou can ealisy build landing pages for initiatives, create multiple workflow, assign scorecards to evaluate and judge ideas and set custom notifications and alerts.

The support team has been awesome and they helped us through every step of the implementation cycle, understanding oour requirements, configuring each module, creating training documentation and being on top of our wish list.

What do you dislike about Brightidea?

Lack of a good mobile app.

Brightidea is our centralized Innovation platform. It has allowed us to track innovation ideas across the firm all in one place.

We can identify duplicate ideas, run reports on areas with the highest interest and benefits.

What do you like best about Brightidea?

The instructions with rules are sometimes a bit confusing, and therefore sometimes fail.

What do you like best about Brightidea?

I have to say the support staff at Bright Idea are incredible. Both in terms of their knowledge and willingness to take the time out of their day to help problem solve and trouble shoot. What do you like best about Brightidea?

I like the use of webstorms and the abilty to link ideas from one webstorm to the next. I also really liek the parent/child relationship you can create between ideas. Often times we end up with similar ideas and the ability to link them together eliminates the muddiness of the infomation being scatterede between many similar ideas. The setup and manipulation fo the worflows is easy and has an easy learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Brightidea?

The biggest fault with Bright Idea is the lack of a mobile application that is functional and easy to use. They have an app for at least iOS, but it is buggy and zero improvements hve been made on it in the last 3 years. It has objectivly gotten worse, not better. What problems is Brightidea solving and how is that benefiting you?

We review and house many many solutions that vendors bring to us. Without this software we would have an impossible task in front of us. What do you like best about Brightidea?

The ability to customize the different interfaces for our different focus areas has been incredibly helpful in organizing ideas across the company. As we pivoted in our management strategy of ideas (targeting challenges, solutions, and pilots), BrightIdea allowed us to get creative and develop environments for these three areas separately. While the information is kept separate in these individual environments, it's easy to link ideas together to show the progression of an idea from stage to stage. What do you dislike about Brightidea?

We are still working through how to work with our craft users who don't have emails and can register/log-in. In order for this to truly be a one-stop-shop for all ideas at DPR, we'd like for our craft and trade partners to be able to submit, access, and comment on ideas ... while still having the ability to limit what they can and cannot access when in the site. This has proven more difficult than we realized, however we have worked through a process to allow this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Brightidea solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating a single source of truth for all of the ideas in the company. Sharing of lessons learned/pilot history/etc. is crucial in a company as large (or larger) as ours - Brightidea has helped with idea awareness by providing a single spot where everyone can go to see the latest information on solutions we've tried or are currently testing. What do you like best about Brightidea?

My favorite thing about Brightidea is how quick and easy it is to setup new sites that are tailor-made for a department or initiative. After having administered our main innovation intake portal for a while, the many scoring and idea management tools were simple to deploy for different uses, like tracking project statuses, assigning accountability to leaders, and moving ideas through management workflows. What do you dislike about Brightidea?

Customized reports, task management, and file management are areas in which I struggled using Brightidea, but the customer success team was always ready to find solutions. This included support for integration with PowerBI through an API for more control over reporting on ideas and their statuses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Brightidea solving and how is that benefiting you?

Brightidea provides a repository for ideas from across our organization, accessible anytime of the day and from anywhere our employees are located. This is a crucial feature for us since two-thirds of the workforce is in field operations and we operate 24 hours a day. Much of the benefit we have seen from Brightidea is in Continuous Improvement focused on process and tools, which aligns with corporate targets in increased efficiency and cost savings. What do you like best about Brightidea?

I like how BI allows all in our organization to meet on one social media style site where conversations can happen in a line of sight to everyone else. It flattens the field to allow all ideas and comments to happen. It's a great space to host hackathons, design challenges and other innovations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
