Additionally, Box retains a detailed file history, which helps in tracking modifications, who made them, and when they were made.

Box folders also allow you to set password protection and expiration dates for shared links, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access your files.

What do you dislike about Box?

While Box offers numerous benefits, there are also some potential limitations or demerits to consider:

1. Cost: Depending on your needs and usage, Box can be relatively expensive compared to some other cloud storage options. The pricing structure is based on user licenses and storage capacity, so the costs can increase as your user base or storage requirements grow.

2. Internet Dependency: Box is a cloud-based solution, which means it requires an internet connection to access and synchronize files. If you have limited or unreliable internet connectivity, it may hinder your ability to work with Box folders effectively.

3. Learning Curve: While Box is generally user-friendly, transitioning to a new file storage and collaboration platform may require some learning and adjustment for both individuals and teams. It may take time for users to become familiar with the interface, features, and best practices.

4. Integration Limitations: Although Box offers integrations with various third-party applications, there might be instances where specific integrations or functionalities are limited or not available. It's essential to check the compatibility and integration options for the specific tools you rely on to ensure they work seamlessly with Box.

5. Storage Limitations: Depending on your subscription plan, there might be storage limitations imposed by Box. If you reach the storage limit, you may need to upgrade your plan or delete older files to make room for new ones.

6. Dependency on Internet Service Provider: The performance and accessibility of Box folders can be affected by the quality and reliability of your internet service provider. If you experience frequent outages or slow internet speeds, it can impact your ability to work with Box effectively.

7. Data Security Concerns: While Box is designed with robust security measures, some individuals or organizations may have specific data security requirements or concerns. If you handle highly sensitive or regulated data, it is crucial to thoroughly review Box's security features and compliance certifications to ensure they meet your specific needs.

8. Limited Offline Functionality: While Box does offer mobile applications and offline syncing, the offline functionality is not as extensive as working with files online. Some features, such as real-time collaboration or access to the latest file versions, may be limited or unavailable when working offline.

It's important to consider these demerits in the context of your specific requirements and preferences when evaluating Box as a file storage and collaboration solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Box?

Our sales processes and collaboration between teams have greatly improved as a result, there has been a considerable improvement in the management and accessibility of our information. We have been able to streamline our process significantly due to the ability to consolidate all of our sales documentation, including contracts and offers, into one secure place. We were able to upload, organize and exchange files quickly and easily thanks to the incredibly easy-to-use user interface. Our team members can now collaborate on the same document in real time, which has greatly increased project productivity and quality. The collaboration features are also fantastic, when we collaborate with clients and other external parties, it greatly reduces our anxiety about file sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

It took some time to figure out how to operate it properly, but after that, it was a breeze. We double-checked that the tool was easy to use for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our team’s ability to work together and organize files has improved tremendously since we started using Box. We can access everything from anywhere because it is centralized, to exchange and communicate documents with the sales team and other collaborators during the preparation of a business proposal for a major customer. It was a clear example of how we used the platform; as everyone can see and make changes to files simultaneously, the review and approval process was much faster. There was a big change when files could be accessed directly from the browser. So that customers can see and comment on the information without downloading anything, we can also generate shared links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Box?

Box allows us to upload any type of file and access that data from anywhere with an Internet connection. The user interface is intuitive, and I really like that it can be integrated directly with the computer to save us time, I have managed to integrate it with other tools without any problem, and all the plans it offers give unlimited storage. Thanks to its unlimited storage and useful features, it has helped our company save time and be more productive. Another aspect to consider is that it works well for teams involving employees from different departments or offices, and it also helps keep all ongoing tasks organized. For my day-to-day work, Box has been an invaluable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

On rare occasions, even with my lightning-fast Internet, I've seen both uploads and downloads become painfully slow. I don't know what causes this; these are isolated incidents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is one of our primary cloud storage solutions since we utilize it internally to distribute all kinds of data. It's utilized across the board in our administrative functions, and its widespread adoption has given our employees confidence in their ability to tackle the data sharing, backup, and other modern business difficulties that lie ahead. Having a tool that allows us to work and collaborate from anywhere on any device has been crucial to us, so it helps us meet the demands of efficient file delivery without the hassle of sending and receiving hard drives or USB drives. Our business has greatly benefited from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Box is a fantastic platform; it's perfect for cloud storage, it has an easy to understand interface, it's clean and all I have to do is log in to store what I need. Great for backups, easy to set up and use. As our company grows and we take on more clients, projects and team members, it adapts to the document needs. The ability to sync with individual folders streamlines the process of storing, retrieving and sharing files and documents. A well-prepared and professional appearance is an asset to any business. What do you dislike about Box?

As far as I can tell, it's the ideal tool; there's nothing wrong with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Box has helped us increase accessibility and security, make it easier to find and share files, and streamline our workflow. It's all gone well, and it's a huge improvement; it does what it says it does, and it makes things easy to find and change, which improves the end product. What do you like best about Box?

Well I used to really like it and then it got so expensive and they started with these high pressure tactics to set up all these meetings and then upsell you stuff you don't need, then they end up just looking at your plan and making up reasons to double your costs when it's already exorbitantly priced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Box?

High pressure salespeople unilaterally jacking your costs during the middle of the BFCM holiday rush. Random disparate offerings that don't really add value that they try to push on you all the time. Really people? Read the room. Have a touch of class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Box solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's not solving any problems now. We were a major proponent of it, but now they are just money grubbing high pressure sales people without class. The costs outweigh the benefits. Ready to find another platform and say goodbye. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Team storage during remote/hybrid work. Notable and strong security features of Box include compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and FedRAMP, in addition to extensive permissions and audit controls. Box allows me to set up a cloud where any kind of file or document can be accessed by anyone with the simple click of a link. What do you like best about Box?

Box has a simpler and more user-friendly ecosystem, which permits the upload of files in a more organized and easy-to-locate way. Also, the option of signing documents is beneficial when it comes to having a bunch of people sign a document and not needing to send individual emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
