I started my AI journey looking for a way to automate our customer support tickets.

I researched several approaches before settling on Botpress.

Zendesk has an AI add-on but it's too expensive and does not provide the flexibility we needed to meed our business requirements. So I looked elsewhere and found Botpress.

After watching a fea videos and building a few test bots, we found the ideal bot using Botpress to meet our needs.

We are now extending AI furthing into our ecosystem by launching the botpress chat bot on our website to address general visitor questions.

I feel like you can do almost anything with this platform.

The pricing tiers are a bit out of reach.

We would like to be able to use some of the features like Zendesk HITL.

We had version 1 working for a test bot many months ago.

But it looks like v2 needs us to upgrade to Team to use it.

Team's price point is just excessive for us as we are a startup and every penny counts.

As a developer, I understand both sides of the coin per say: the side that understands the underlying mechanics of a system and the side that can only see the interface or the "face of the coin" of which Botpress takes into account both the experienced and non experienced user. I can't say there is much I dislike with regard to Botpress but one thing that I did find inhibiting for me to progress with my Botpress journey at the start was the lack of documentation for certain procedures such as how to integrate email sending functionality for bots or even integrating the new Webchat bot version.
