Top Rated Boomcaster Alternatives

We (Cloud Security Podcast by Google) think their streaming of audio/video to YouTube and LinkedIn is just pure magic. It works and makes our podcast come to life a lot better than in pure recorded audio Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Speech to text is not great, perhaps not worse than others, but we really want it to be better, accuracy-wise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
6 out of 7 Total Reviews for Boomcaster

As a podcast host of That’s Total Mom Sense, I know how crucial it is to have a reliable, high-quality recording platform—and Boomcaster has been a game-changer! From crystal-clear audio and video recordings to its seamless interface, Boomcaster makes remote interviews effortless. The local recording feature ensures that even if there’s a poor internet connection, the final audio is still pristine.
I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Hari, the founder, and his passion for empowering podcasters is truly inspiring. He and his team are constantly innovating, ensuring that creators like me have everything we need to produce professional, studio-quality content.
If you’re a podcaster looking for a top-notch platform that prioritizes quality, ease of use, and reliability, look no further than Boomcaster! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not dislike anything about the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is feature-rich, and has everything I could possibly need as a podcaster of 14+ years and 600 episodes. It integrates with YouTube and LinkedIn Live easily, and is simple to use. Customer support is easy to access, and addresses concerns or issues quickly. This is a platform I work in at least 2 days per week, recording podcasts, video episodes, webinars, and other digital streaming assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform has had problems with LinkedIn Live (although it appearsto be a mostly LinkedIn problem). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Boomcaster is fantastic. I've tried pretty much all of the remote platforms in the last 5+ years (Riverside, SquadCast, Welder, Ringr, Zoom, etc), and Boomcaster is - for me, at least - the best and most reliable. Only one issue in the last two years of using it, and that was down to my guest's horrendous upload speed. The Boomcaster team were on it within 30 minutes and walked the guest through.
They've added a lot of great features since coming out of beta two years ago, and the overall set is excellent:
- separate local recording wav files
- separate video files up to 4k
- multiple branded studios (so if you have multiple shows, you can create a studio for each one)
- lossless FLAC on studio-composed videos (so, local recording quality on the combined audio/video version on Boomcaster, which can save time on post-production)
-producer role (someone can log in and manage audio, video, levels, etc, and chat with both host and guests off-camera)
- complete control of branding and templates
- live streaming with live closed captions
- transcripts and editing via text (with the transcript)
- LUFS monitoring and adjustment
Pricing is super simple, and support (as mentioned) is second to none. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there isn't really anything I'd change. Maybe add extra streaming destinations (Twitter, for example), but that would be it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I created my podcast, Brave and Strong and True: Interviews with Upper Darby Summer Stage Alumni, I shopped for the perfect remote recording software. I did a lot of research. As soon as I started my free 30 day trial with Boomcaster, I knew I found the perfect product with the best customer service at a price I could afford. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Eventually their software will work on tablets and smart phones.
Update: as of 6/1/2024 the app works great with smartphones and tablets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hari and his team have taken great care to listen to user feedback as they have developed what I think is the most user friendly and rock solid cloud recording and streaming platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Guests will not be able to connect using mobile phones or tablets, which is for the best since desktop browsers are more stable for the high stream rate required for recording full resolution video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are a photography podcast with three hosts called The Edit Weekly. After trying other podcasting programs, the easy ability to invite guests, create episodes, and navigate the software was the biggest reason we chose this. The studio composed feature makes backend work so much easier and we have yet to have a glitch in the way other programs have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing we wanted was the ability to record on mobile devices, but this was just added- so right now there is nothing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
