Currently, the biggest plus to using BoldSign is that it is free! It is a very professional and reliable product for my small home-organizing business. Although there was a slight learning curve on how to use/edit/create contracts, it functions wonderfully and is very simple to send to my clients instead of constantly getting annoyed with some of the other platforms used for contracts. I love that it's simple to upload a new PDF and replace the old version but still keep the editing template so I don't have to redo the whole thing if I need to change some wording on my contract. I also love that I can order the signing process so I can fill and sign first and then send it to my clients. Overall super happy with it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of any real downsides, especially for a free product. There is a limit to how many contracts can be sent without paying but I never reach that limit for my small business, at least at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Over the past 10+ years, I've been researching ~25-35 (35 most recently, and with 56 different criteria) electronic signing programs for our real estate business. For our use, Boldsign is the best we've researched... and as a customer, the best we've used.
For context, we started with Dotloop, switched to Docusign, switched to a much smaller hardly known program for a few months and really limped along with that one, and then found Boldsign.
The things we like about Boldsign:
The pricing is reasonable for what they offer.
Boldsign is very easy to use.
It has a very clean dashboard and it shows the status of each of the documents which is nice at a glance- documents awaiting your signature, awaiting other's signature(s), completed.
Boldsign is very stable and reliable. It's not glitchy like other programs we've trialed and/or used.
Document setup is easy, with ai generated predicted field placement, conditional logic fields, data sync fields (sparing repetitive data entry), easy font/size edit, data labels (phone, email, etc.), signing order, routing. You can easily add, remove, change the order of documents before a send.
Templates are also easy to setup and use.
Integration with Google Drive is big for us and like it.
We had questions as we started especially and customer service through online ticket reporting responded, and on average within a day, the most was 2 days, sometimes the same day.
We like the audit trail/ document history.
Provides you with a lot of customization including branding, where documents go to once sent, what website page you want people to go to once they sign, among many others.
Boldsign offers what they call "bulk links" which is the ability to create a template for a document, create a link to that template, and then send that link to a signer for them to fill out. This saves a lot of time and work a) finding out from the signer what info to put in the document, and b) adding it to the document. This is big for our business and has saved us a lot of time.
It is Zapier functional and I have and use Zapier integration for many different programs.
It has a mobile app which is nice and easy to use.
Offers auto reminders if not yet signed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much to dislike... so these are pretty minor/critical... especially for the good that Boldsign offers.
Signup requires a non gmail email address. Our business has operated on gmail for over nearly 15 years and this was a pain to get around. This wasn' t a good first impression, but we found a work-around and glad we proceeded with the trial and ultimately became a customer.
Wish customer service response time was quicker. A chat feature would be nice. Waiting sometimes 1-2 days for a response can be challenging when you need a quick answer on an important document that is time sensitive.
Wish they offered integration without having to use Zapier. But Boldsign does work very well with Zapier which gives us the ability to integrate with the other programs.
Each signer requires a unique email address, which is challenging in our business where sometimes, particularly elderly, husband and wife for example may share the same email address. Boldsign did offer a workaround to that in their system which does bypass the need for one of the signers to have to create an email address, which is nice.
Google integration requires a login/ permissions each time you want to grab a document from Drive. It's more of an annoyance and other programs like Docusign don't require this step.
Boldsign lacks 2-way Google integration (you can grab documents to have signed which is most important to us, but we can't save documents signed from Boldsign into Google Drive.)
When you create a bulk link, you can't change the email address that the completed document is sent to. You have to delete it and create a new one, which might sound minor but we've published the link on other websites pages, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
BoldSign is very user friendly and the price is AMAZING. I was constantly being charged with DocuSign. I also enjoy the layout. It is so easy to navigate. So glad I made the switch! When getting set up, the customer service was helpful and thourough. They were always there if I needed anything. I use BoldSign weekly and it has been such a great investment. The only issue I have had is that I can't add checkboxes to yes and no, because all checkboxes need to be ticked in order to complete. They do not have the option to select one or the other. I haven't put any effort into checking if there is a way to do this, so this could be completely user error here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setting up for signatures is extremely easy. It's easy to use and fast. Our customers have no issues at all accessing their documents to sign. Everything is super simple and we use it daily! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of right now, and my company has been using BoldSign for 6 months, none of us have had any issues or complaints. Everything is super simple and we use it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

How helpful customer support has been. We were able to tell them what we needed, they understood and found the best plan for us, for an excellent price (we are a nonprofit), at a fraction of what we found elsewhere. It is so easy to use, as well as sending the forms out to our members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I've noticed BoldSign doesn't offer that would be helpful to have, is the ability to create more than one signer per form. We have parents and children sign some forms, so the parent has to figure out how to change the signature name. It can be done, but the feedback I'm getting is that the form is very easy to fill out, but they didn't know how to change the signature name at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We were a DocuSign user and the cost just kept escalating. After much research, we found Bold Sign and it has been absolutely amazing. Extremely simple to use and upload templates. Only using for a couple months now but so far so good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The template set up on Docusign was a bit easier. But we worked through it and our templates are set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like and utilize the templates. I also appreciate the ability to add photos or request photos. Everyone who I have sent a signature request to has had an esay time navigating Boldsign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't seen any downsides so far, but have only been using it for a handful of contracts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using BoldSign's electronic signing services for a about 2 years now, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. While I’m not a high-volume user, utilizing the platform a couple of times a month, it has proven to be reliable, efficient, and incredibly easy to use.
What I like?
Quite simply, everything. From the intuitive interface to the seamless process, BoldSign offers exactly what you would expect from a top-tier electronic signing solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, nothing comes to mind. It has been a smooth experience from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can log in using my Google work email—super convenient! BoldSign's intuitive functionality has been a game-changer for us. I stumbled across this gem online (totally by accident), and it's been a perfect fit for our organization. The combination of great features and an affordable price has made it a big hit in our non-profit. Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only hiccup I’ve noticed is with the autofill feature. Sometimes, when you click on the autofill suggestion (which is usually spot on), it doesn’t actually carry over. The selection is made, but nothing shows up—talk about a flow disruptor! It’s a minor annoyance, though, and just means you have to retype the email address. Fingers crossed for a fix in the future! Incredibly easy to use, with a smooth and intuitive interface that makes managing and signing documents effortless. The integration with other tools is seamless, allowing us to incorporate BoldSign into our existing workflows without any hassle. The customer support is responsive and helpful, ensuring that any issues are quickly resolved. Overall, it's a reliable and time-saving solution for digital signatures. While BoldSign offers a comprehensive set of features, it would be great to see more advanced customization options for document templates. Additionally, the frequency of updates could be improved to introduce new features more regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The offering of a free service, this was a big drawcard. Once I got used to how Boldsign works it has got quicker and simpler to use. Customer support has been there when needed. Plenty of features available to use. Compatible with Word docs and PDFs. The more I've used it the more I've enjoyed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seemed a little complex to start with, I created an account and it didn't lead me to the actual Boldsign area, I was in a programmers area. However customer support were great and guided me in the right direction, then it was fairly straight forward. I haven't used other digisign software, but I would assume there might be more simple options out there if you are paying. In saying that, Boldsign is nice and simple once you have done a document or 2. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
