The only solution that allows a real focus on the value of data by combining traditional enterprise BI with more value based use cases. There are feature rich dashboards that which allow quick deployment of information that adds value, all of which achieved without a heavy reliance on IT & technical support functions allowing the deployment of proof of concept, data discovery and other solutions very quick and agile. Board truly is an end user tool - we run it over 4 companies and have 8 databases but only need two people in support. The users are self sufficient in designing their own reports and integrating the information with ease. It is very fast even over vast amounts of data and the users love seeing their reports appear in seconds rather than waiting hours for their results to be displayed. I would strongly recommend trialing this product to experience just how quick and simple the implementation can be . The fact that BOARD is truly one product. We have many customers that need planning and forecasting capabilities but also true business intelligence, dashboards and visualisation. BOARD enables us to deliver these solutions within one product with the customer only having to purchase one license and have one skillset.

Most BI products have "drill through" but BOARD also has "drill anywhere" enabling the user to interrogate the data at every level across all dimensions with a click of a mouse button. This really does help our customers looking at all numbers at both high and low level detail across the entire business.

BOARD is code-free. While that can be an advantage (see "self-service" above) it can sometimes be limiting if you have very advanced requirements, esp. in highly complex planning environments. You can always find a solution using BOARD's own toolkit, such as procedures, but sometimes a bit of coding would be helpful to the advanced solution architect. Board is an efficient BI tool that also allows budget reporting to business controllers. The most valuable function of Board is an easily understandable report building process, by choosing the info cubes that have to be analyzed. Data are automatically updated when information is changed in the source, so it also allows to create ad hoc reports with last figures uploaded for different business analysis. Most CPM solutions are limited in the number of dimensions and the number of records in a dimension. With Board I don't have this l can configure Board as any other BI project with lots of dimensions and I can have an item dimension with 3000 items without performance issues. In other CPM solutions I can create a calculation in a dimension e.g. percentage of sales or Actual versus Budget. In Board you create this in a dataview but you have to do this for every dataview again. It would be nice if you can create calculatons in your model and use them where needed.
