We really like the drill-down feature since it allows us to get to the root cause for why expense codes are higher or lower than expected compared to the budget. The ability to flex budget and look at actual results versus the budget at any given moment is quite valuable. The dashboard is also beneficial as it showcases our key critical KPIs on each user's screen based on their needs. Additionally, the initial setup and implementation were very easy, thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful implementation team, who were great at explaining things to users of all levels in a flexible and understanding way. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** One thing that has frustrated some of the users is on the Prophix training. The training is designed for basic users, and most of our users have some experience with Microsoft Power BI. They understand some of the characteristics of cubes and layers, so those sections of the training don't really hold their attention. However, you still have to go through it to complete your certification. A way to bypass some segments based on expertise or maybe a test could be beneficial for other users. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix Software helps us prepare financial statements using ERP data and transition budgeting from Excel to a more secure platform. I like its very flexible option to apply different allocation rules. Since it's a cloud software, it allows users to log in from any place, which I appreciate. The reporting structure and template flexibility stand out for me as well. The Dashboard, Process Manager, and Templates Studio are the top features that I use the most. Once it is setup, it does an excellent job of allowing you to automate reporting and modeling and maintain various scenarios. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** While the flexibility is great, my experience has been that it requires quite a bit of technical/consultancy time to get the integration setup and maintain the software due to the complexity of the implementation. The best thing about Prophix is there Customer Success Program (CSP). The CSP has outstanding support and resources. In addition, we have built great relationships with many individuals at Prophix. They are eager to solve problems and want you to succeed. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** Due to the nature of our business, our transaction count is extremely large. The one continued hiccup we've experienced is performance. That has been the only dislike about Prophix. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been our only source of budgeting and forecasting at a granular level for almost ten years now. User may find it difficult initially if they weren't trained. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to use another tool and sometimes spreadsheet for our financial needs, this tool gets rid of all that. It also becomes harder for Finance to coordinate with other departments, but this tool helps removes that barrier. We look forward to all the great things we will continue to do with this tool! **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** I think the dashboards could use some improvement (we do most of our graphs in Excel due to the limitations in Prophix), some reports are not very usable right when they are downloaded and require manipulation in Excel, and it would be great if we were able to access invoices/other support directly in Prophix rather than having to go outside of the tool. **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix makes our planning process much easier by allowing users to directly enter their budgets in the tool. You can slice and dice the data in any way you need to see it, and the user interface is very clean, modern, and easy to use. I also really enjoy the support that comes with the Continuous Success Package (CSP). I feel that I can reach out at any time and I will have a knowledgeable consultant to answer my questions. It keeps up with our daily use for 10 active users and rarely do we run into functionality issues with servers going down or anything like that. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** A downside that I have with using Prophix is that the reporting can take a while to load if you have many different unique member combinations. We have to limit the filters in certain reports or create duplicate reports with slightly different filters to get to certain reports if we don't want to wait 10 minutes for a report to load. My other complaint is that the integration with O365 isn't very intuitive in Excel (getvalue formulas rather than being able to click and connect like some other products) and there is not a streamlined powerpoint integration that doesn't show the full web-interface within the PowerPoint deck (which causes deck building to take many hours each month rather than a simple click and refresh). **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prophix is solving the need to create manual excel reports and rather lets you automate those by building them in Prophix and being able to pull those on a Monthly basis. Melding them into a single forecast was impossible. Codes, objectives, times, and even the base entities were different from each other. Maintaining the templates was difficult, we were constrained in updating them to meet changing requirements if the original authors were no longer with the company, and many of them required manual data updates on a monthly basis from the client's 3 different ERPs. Prophix has changed all of this for us. For those excel templates that were already meeting our needs but required manual updates, we converted them into Prophix templates based on it's centralized cube data structure. Multi-user updates, automated imports from our ERPs, and the ease of which we can pivot the data into alternate views has been a game-changer. The ability for Prophix to have different data sets for different planning needs, then being able to merge them into a consolidated data set using their Data Integration Studio, is another game changer. All excel formulas are supported in Prophix templates, so it was easy for our excel super-users to convert to Prophix; but the template structure is organized and defined enough that it's easy to pick up for even moderate or entry level users. Since differnet deparments have their own planning schedules, we now have users in the system daily from different parts of the organization. We use their workflow feature to alert parties of their outstanding planning and/or reporting tasks, track task completion, collect approvals, and publish "binders" as attachments to emails for executive distribution. We don't need to use customer support very often, but when we do, they are always quick to reply and thorough in their help. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** The biggest downside is not being able to change a cube's dimensional structure once it's establish. Members and hierarchies within the structure are easily modifed; it's the names and number of dimensions that remains static. Second is that all "automation" in Prophix must be internal; prophix processes cannot be invoked by external orchestration. Automation does have some limitations. Finally, the ad-hoc flxibility for end users working with data in templates is limited. Ease of accessing infomration in a user friendly way. Cloud based for users to be able to access their financial reports. No more emailing out several different files to different users. **What do you dislike about Prophix Software?** Limited Customization for Visuals Support can be slow **What problems is Prophix Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gets us out of Excel and eliminates the risk of version control or multiple reports needing to be updated.
