I like being able to add and edit times and notes before submitting them, being able to enter times in future weeks, and being able to easily view timesheets from previous weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some recent updates have made the timer workflow less efficient. Previously, it was possible to stop one timer and start another with a single click, but now that process requires several clicks. Notes within timers are also less visible than before, as they are hidden behind an edit button instead of being shown directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Flexibility around when and how you enter time — past or future — can make a big difference, so it’s great to hear those parts of BigTime are working well for you. Being able to review and adjust entries before submitting is exactly the kind of control many people rely on.
Your feedback on the recent timer changes is especially helpful. When a workflow that used to be fast becomes more click-heavy, that friction is noticeable, and calling out things like note visibility gives clear context around where efficiency has slipped.
Thanks for taking the time to share such a specific perspective. Insights like this help highlight what BigTime does well today — and where small interaction changes can have an outsized impact on daily use.
I like how I can see everything in one screen get an accurate view of what my billable hours look like without doing additional math externally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the UI is nice, but I believe it could be polished a little more this is just a personal preference. I think it would be nice to be able to customize the colors like an actual spreadsheet to where maybe when my billable time is not at a certain point the cell lights up red or yellow and green when I have hit my target or minimums. Just an idea Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thanks for sharing this — love hearing that the week-to-week flow feels clear and that seeing billable hours in one view saves you the extra mental math. That’s exactly the kind of ease we aim for.
And your idea about color cues is genuinely interesting. People visualize their workload in different ways, and hearing how you’d use something like that gives us a better sense of what “polish” can mean beyond just UI aesthetics.
Appreciate you taking the time to spell it out. Feedback with this level of detail helps us keep shaping an experience that represents your work as cleanly as you need it to.
BigTime is easy to navigate, and I really appreciate how visible and intuitive the “Add Timesheet Row” button is,
especially with the blue highlight that makes it easy to find when logging time. I also like how tasks are organized
by Projects and then Tasks, which helps me manage and track multiple tasks tied to a single project. The overall
ease of use and clear structure make daily time entry much more efficient Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some parts of the interface can be confusing or feel unnecessary. The “Over/Under” row isn’t very clear and
doesn’t explain what it represents, which makes it feel cluttered rather than helpful. It can also be frustrating to
scroll through long task lists to find a specific task, as a nested structure might be easier. Additionally, receiving
notifications to review timesheets when I don’t have direct reports is confusing and frustrating, especially since it
happens regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s great to hear how much the small UI details are helping — things like a clearly visible “Add Timesheet Row” button and a clean project-to-task structure can make daily time entry feel far less effortful. When those cues work, the whole workflow moves faster.
We also appreciate you pointing out where the interface feels less clear. Elements like the Over/Under row, long task lists, or notifications that don’t quite match your role can quickly turn from helpful to distracting, so calling that out gives valuable context around where clarity matters most.
Thanks for sharing such specific feedback. Insights like this help us better understand how the structure and signals in the UI land in real, everyday use — not just how they’re intended to work.

I like how user-friendly BigTime is. It's very easy to use and simple. The initial setup wasn’t bad at all, and the representative was helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are days where it is down for some reason. Sometimes due to bug fixes and others I don’t know why. I’d like it to be up more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thank you for the 4.5-star review and for sharing your experience so openly.
We’re glad BigTime has been easy to use and that your onboarding support made the setup process smooth. That early experience matters, and it’s great to hear it set a positive tone.
We also understand how frustrating downtime can be, even if it’s occasional. Reliability is critical when you depend on a system to log time and keep work visible. Your feedback is noted, and it’s something we take seriously as we continue improving performance and stability.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave a balanced review and are glad BigTime is supporting your time tracking and team visibility overall.
How organized it is.
That you can arrange things by project name and not just latest upload task item.
That it autosums hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish you could color code things.
It'd be cool if there was some type of tracking widget to upload hours as you go throughout the day.
I wish there were more colors to choose from besides light and dark background.
I wish you didn't have to create a whole new task line for all the different items per project and there was more hierarchy in that organization so it showed total hours per project not just task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Thank you for the 3.5-star review and for laying out your thoughts so clearly.
It’s great to hear that the organization, project-based sorting, and automatic hour totals are making time entry easier than managing everything manually in Excel. That kind of structure is exactly what a system like BigTime should provide.
We also appreciate the creativity in your suggestions. Ideas like color coding, more visual customization, a real-time tracking widget, and stronger hierarchy within projects show how you’d like the platform to work even more intuitively throughout your day. That kind of feedback is valuable because it goes beyond surface-level tweaks and speaks to usability and visual workflow.
Thank you again for the honest input. Reviews like this help us understand where the experience is solid today and where it can evolve to feel even more dynamic and user-friendly.
BigTime makes it very easy to enter information for time-based projects, which helps ensure data stays accurate
and up to date. I really value the ability to create customized reports and monitor projects to confirm goals are
being met. The new mobile app is also a big plus, allowing quick and easy time entry while traveling. Overall, the
ease of use, strong reporting features, and flexibility support efficient day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There aren’t any major issues that stand out. Occasionally, it takes a bit of time to fully explore all reporting
options or get used to newer features, but once configured, everything works smoothly. Overall, the platform
remains reliable and effective for managing time-based projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It sounds like BigTime has become a dependable part of how you manage time-based work — from keeping entries accurate to using reports as a real check on project progress. That combination of day-to-day ease and deeper visibility is exactly what makes a tool stick.
It’s also great to hear the mobile app is fitting naturally into your workflow, especially when you’re on the move. Being able to log time without waiting until you’re back at your desk can make a big difference.
Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful perspective. It’s always helpful to hear how the reporting, flexibility, and usability come together in real, everyday use.

This is a great product and fits our service-oriented time sheet needs perfectly. There is built in flexibility that allows us to do a lot of different things. We use the details for our client billings. No need for an expensive software this works well at a fraction of the cost. It's very reliable and I don't recall it ever being down when we wanted to use it. Customer support is very patient and answers all our questions. Once they understand what we are trying to accomplish they provide ideas we never thought about. I can't tell you how valuable this to us. The basics are very logical, and it is very easy to use.
