I would like to have access to loaded funds quicker. If I get an alert of low funds on Friday and load funds, they are not available until Monday at noon eastern. It would also be nice if the "declined" transactions appeared as such on the downloaded spreadsheet. 1st issue. Employee checking in to hotel. I knew with a debit card the hotel daily rate for not using a credit card.I had the exact amount budgeted and in the account. Card was declined. Reason Bento also places a daily hold on the card for hotel expenses. Really. 2nd issue. Credit card declined for $33 when available funds absolutely exceeded that amount. 3rd issue. Used owner card at ATM on holiday weekend. Transaction declined. Now I'm furious about this stupid card. Customer service actually said they couldn't figure it out. They would escalate to tech support in 24-48 hours. Called back. Another customer service said you can only withdraw a $100 from the ATM daily. $100 daily? I know elementary school children with a higher daily allowance. Unreal. Still pissed because I can't access my funds but ok she gave me a reason. Go back to the ATM. Tried $100 Tried $90. Tried $80. Yep you guessed it. Transaction declined. I immediately transferred all funds to my NOVO account and used scissors and cut every Bento card to shreds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having a Bento account is a great way to give employees an expense card without having to add them to a major credit card account. You can set daily limits and controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is the occasional hiccup with Bento cancelling cards for potential breach or updating card info with no warning and little information provided to allow the customer to identify which cards have been affected. Bento for Business has given our Non-profit foundation the ability to empower our staff while remaining in control of our fiscal management. This was a great solution for our nonprofit organization, especially when we have a grant-funded program with very specific spending needs. The flexibility of having either spend limit or fixed value cards has been really helpful in these situations. We also have some grant programs that are only temporary or for a finite length of time, and this allows us to easily manage the spending of temporary or short-term program staff. My staff members also love the ease of uploading receipts via the Bento for Business app. Finally, the Quickbooks integration was easy to set up and has helped streamline the bookkeeping. Mostly I only have great things to say. Sometimes it does take a couple weeks to get new staff cards in the mail after ordering them, so I do wish they came a bit faster in those cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cards are easy to set up and easy to use. Our employees can use them almost anywhere, and management can change the controls very quickly. I also like the reports that download in Excel; this makes it easy to track monthly expenditures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
